Tries to take advantage of female customers. I went into this place to get a transmission flush. My toyota is only 3 years old. The owner told me that my transmission needed to be replaced an it would cost on estimate around $2200. A red flag came up immediately. He also told me that he would not drive my SUV long distance. The milage was only 94,000. He told me that I should not risk it and that the transmission is burned and if he did do a transmission flush my SUV would not start at all. He went as far as telling me that my SUV would stall driving to Houston. I went to an NTB a few hours later and told them what he told me. They looked at the transmission and the fluid and said that was not true. NTB did a transmission flush and my SUV drove perfectly to Houston from Denton and back with absolutely no problems. I called and left a message telling him that his diagnosis was wrong. I could not believe someone lied to me after he pretended to be so nice. I would not trust these people again nor would I ever recommend them. If you are a female watch out... he would probably lie and try and scam you too. Go to another place for a second opinion. My transmission is fine and NTB said it the fluid was dirty and needed to be changed and not because my 3 year old transmission was "burned" like the owner said. I came to Grapevine Transmission originally because I had a coupon but now I think they use the coupons to get people in to tell them a bunch of lies to buy a new transmission. I would beware especially if you are a female customer alone coming into this place.

Jan 19, 2012 by John S. When I was searching for a new transmission shop for my FLEET, I called ROB to come out to our location. I explained what I wanted and in return he explained what he could do as far as time and money. I have had several shops that talk a good game wanting your business and many have received it only to be disappointed in the time frame and the final cost. I’m well aware that each model year and make of vehicle presents a different situation along with the condition of the transmission when received. Rob has always kept me up to date on the status of each the current job. I’m only going to use one word to describe my relationship with Grapevine Automatic, and that is trust.

My wife and I have taken our vehicles to Rob for diagnosis and repair. Honesty is hard to find, but Rob and his staff are very straight about what they can and cant do, and his recommendations are solid. I even tested them when I first visited on the parts prices they would charge me, as I already had access to wholesale pricing from a parts house. The prices quoted me were not marked up at all, so I knew I wasnt going to be gouged. Each time we have taken vehicles to Grapevine Automatic, the final bill is less than the estimate, and the work is done right and lasts. Im glad I discovered this little gem of a shop in Grapevine. Highly recommend their services.

My car needed a great deal of work and I found Robs estimate to be better than most garages I have been to for the work that needed to be done. Because of the amount of work that needed to be done I was dropping it off with the expectation that I would not pick it up until the end of the week. Getting a call 3 days later that it was ready blew my mind! But what blew my mind more is the fact that I think the car runs better now than it did when I bought it! Wow! Excellent customer service and excellent care for both the vehicle and the customer! Would highly recommend them to everyone!

Since Ive moved to Texas this has been the first place Ive gone every time my Jeep needed repairs. Rob and his team here are trustworthy, friendly, and care about making sure your car is fixed quickly and at a fair price. They also do a great job of giving you options, updating you throughout the process, and ensuring a job well done. They also do much more than transmission repairs so definitely give them a call first and they will recommend someone great if their shop doesnt do the work.

Very great service!!! Im very skeptical of mechanics since Im a female, but I was really shocked at how honest and fair this place is. There have been several times Ive taken my car in with concerns and it turned out nothing needed to be done and they didnt even charge me to take a look at it......I will never take my car anywhere else! Im glad there are honest people still out there.....Ive sent all my friends there and everyone one of them have been happy with their results.

What can I say? First of all, Rob and the crew are awesome. I have a 2001 GMC YUKON that needed a complete front end suspension overhaul. Rob called before ordering the parts and we coordinated on which direction to go, OEM or aftermarket. After talking it over we went with quality parts from his supplier. With labor and parts I was very happy with the end results and the price. I HIGHLY reccomend Grapevine Automatic for your auto repairs!!

I highly recommend this transmission shop! I have had two trucks worked on here, both with great results. The first truck needed the transmission rebuilt. This was 2 years ago, and the transmission is still shifting like new. The second truck had bearings replaced as well as replacing some parts that a different shop had not done correctly years before. I am so glad to have this truck back working the way it is supposed to!

I called Grapevine Automatic because I knew them as friends and thought they might know someone who could install an engine in a Lexus for me. To my surprise Rob mentioned that they could preform an engine swap for me. Not only did they do a great job on the work but they were able to source the engine for me as well. it was quick and easy and my car is great.

i brought my vehicle here and told them what needed to be fixed. the guy said some other stuff needed to be fixed and I believed him. The next day I noticed my car was still leaking. I asked my neighbor who was a mechanic about it and he told me most of the things I was charged for didnt need to be replaced. Avoid taking your car to this shop.
