Honest mechanics do exist, and Jerry DeLong Automotive far exceeded my expectations. They were upfront from the beginning on estimated costs regarding my vehicle (broken A/C compressor), did a thorough diagnosis, and went beyond the quick fix to make sure the same issue wont happen again for years to come. They gave me multiple options for replacement parts (factory or after market), answered all my questions, and explained to me in detail what exactly was wrong with my car. They had my car ready to go when they promised and the cost of repair was more than fair. Estimated cost at dealership $1315.00, Jerry fixed my car for $764.00. I will definitely be coming back here with any other (hopefully not) issues I have with my vehicle. Love this local family owned business! ☺️

Love a company that has such integrity and reliability. Michael is a great office manager and Jerry really knows his way around a car. They have worked on everything from a 77 F150 to a 2012 Honda for us and always go above and beyond to do the best job they can at a fair price. We had emergency brake lines on our 77 truck that had frozen from being incorrectly repaired by another company and Michael spent hours calling every salvage and parts places to find replacements. Thats only one example of above and beyond--not to mention Jerry took the time to find the problem as it wasnt readily obvious. Such a pleasure to know these guys have my back when it comes to repairing our familys cars. I cant recommend them enough.

Jerry may be a little overwhelmed today however customer service is always important. Called for an estimate for labor as I have my own parts. Jerry said that its not appropriate that he stops what hes doing to install parts that are not quality at 2pm. I understand that he has customers and calling at 2pm is a little late in a mechanics work day but I just called for an estimate not to tell him to drop what hes doing and cater to my every need. This shop is great and quality is their standard. They wont try to make money off something you dont need. Ive had an undercarriage inspection done there before and the guys were very helpful and knowledgeable. Maybe Jerry just shouldnt answer the phones.

Above and beyond! I brought a vehicle in for some repairs and an hour later someone wrecked into my second vehicle. My husband was out of town and I do not have any family close. I called Jerry Delong because I initially thought my vehicle was not drivable. They immediately sent a mechanic, Tommy, to make sure my vehicle was safe to drive. They held the shop open after closing time to make sure I did not have to get towed to them. All is well and we will not use anyone else but Jerry Delong for all our vehicle maintenance! They have been our only choice for the past two years and they have always been honest and do the best work at fair prices. Five stars is not enough. They deserve many more!

I have used Jerry for 10 + years for all our car repairs and found him to be honest and of great integrity which is hard to come by these days. It is like having my own personal mechanic that I can call anytime and know he will always take care of me. And, as a woman, knowing he will not take advantage of me gives me great comfort. Jerry has a new car repair place in Grapevine that is a great location. Anyone looking for a great, honest mechanic that will do the right thing should check him out! You wont be disappointed!

Once again Jerry lived up to his claim to provide only what you need. I brought my Ford F-150 in because the Service Engine Soon light came on. Turns out my fuel flow pressure was very low indicating the fuel pump may be wearing out (not surprising at 352k miles). Jerry said I may want to change the fuel filter first to see what difference it makes before performing the more expensive fuel pump repair. Turns out he was right. His honesty is priceless! Ill be back!! Thanks Jerry!!!

Michael and Jerry had my problem diagnosed within minutes and talked me through the problem and my options. They kept me smiling and laughing, and my car was ready the very next day- even though I came in very late Friday evening. I loved that they spoke to me intelligently, and did not treat me like a "dumb woman", which has been my experience at so many other places. They will have my business from now on for anything my car needs done! These are great guys.

A friend recommended Jerry DeLong Automotive, and I was so pleased with my experience there! Jerry was so knowledgeable and helpful. He even took me out to the car and explained everything. He was honest about what I did and didn’t need repaired and why (contrary to what the dealership had said). Michael in the office was also very nice and helpful. I felt very welcome there. I’ll be returning for all my basic and extensive car care needs!

I was recommended to Jerry DeLong by a friend and am 100% pleased by the work done. Jerry specializes in Toyota cars so he was able to figure out the problem almost instantly and Michael (who does the business side of the work) was able to get the part quickly. They also made my power steering work more smoothly, which I didnt ask for and they didnt charge me for. I guess going above and beyond is their professional model.

We have all four of our vehicles serviced with Jerry. It is always a great experience. We appreciate Jerrys professionalism and his experience......especially with our Toyota vehicles. He never tells us we need something done to our cars unless it is absolutely necessary. This is not the experience we received when going to dealerships. It turned out to be a minor fix but it could have been a major one and I wouldnt have known any better since I was out of town. I received top notch service from the very friendly owner and staff at JD auto repair. I showed up at 4:30 pm on Tuesday with a my 04 Jetta check engine light on needing to drive across the country on Friday. My car was evaluated and fixed to be good enough to get me home without any worries within 15 minutes for next to nothing! I highly recommend going to JD auto repair with for your car repair needs!

Very good and honest mechanic. Im in the area on business and was referred here by an Autozone employee down the street. Mr. DeLong took really good care of me and gave me honest feedback and taught me about my issue with my vehicle. Very personable and cheaper than Ive found in my hometown. I wish he was in Houston because I would definitely have him as my go-to mechanic!
