I researched movers online and I gratefully found Pack Rat. From beginning to end, they were the best, they made our move from N J to Texas uneventful and as pleasurable as a long distance move can be. Their customer service folks are very friendly and very accommodating. I had to change the dates for our move a couple of times and it was no problem and certainly no extra charge. Their equipment is secure and weather-proof. Their charges were the best I found after searching for a couple of weeks online. They were less costly than renting a moving truck or trailer and we didnt have to have the stress of driving our own equipment. I would recommend Pack Rat to anyone who wants a stress-less move. Pack Rat is the greatest.

There is a second star since the drivers were very professional. Unfortunately I have had a series of representatives and managers (Aaron and Chase I believe) lie to me about "looking into" honoring their satisfaction guarantee. First the representative did not inform me correctly of what days pick up was available. I asked about insurance which I was told could be added later ( I assumed as long as it was before my pod was picked up) only to be told that was not true. I called several times through the day to get a time of when my unit was going to be picked up but kept getting the "your next on the list" run around until they just stopped taking my calls and I had to leave the area.

Ive used Pack-Rat twice for long distance moves and highly recommend the service. I used one 16 foot steel container for a condo move, and 2 containers for a 3 bedroom house. It is incredibly simple to order the pods, schedule the drop off, load them at your convenience, have them picked up and dropped at the new location at your convenience. I was even allowed to change the date of drop off to receive them earlier - they showed up the next day! If you need movers to load or unload, Pack-Rat has a referral service that allows you to pick your mover. Using Pack-Rat saved thousands over a traditional mover and was much more convenient than driving a U-haul 2000 miles.

We moved from Texas to Ohio. We had a great experience we received 12 moving blankets and a new lock (still in the package). They picked up, delivered on time as scheduled. You have your own moving coordinator she was so friendly. The drivers were experienced and they knew just how to place the units where you tell them. I would use them again. It was off season so the cost was reasonable.
