TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - DAMAGED PROPERTY - UNPROFESSIONAL - LATE Pack-It Movers (Joseph Hull / 2 crew) relocated my belongings in May 2016; full 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment from the 3rd floor apartment to a storage unit, approximately 40 miles. The movers arrived 2 hours after the agreed time that services would begin and once onsite the movers were extremely sluggish and even asking me to buy them lunch. In April 2017, I contacted Joseph Hull to request a quote and once agreed on the price, I requested Pack-It Movers to relocate my belongs from storage to the 2nd floor apartment, approximately 20 miles. The initial crew was scheduled to arrive between 9 - 10 am. That crew never arrived. After several calls to Joseph Hull, a second crew was dispatched at 10:45 am, arriving over an hour later. Then, as the movers were bringing in the bedroom furniture to the 2nd floor apartment, I heard a loud slam (from inside the 2nd floor), I went out to see what had fallen / broke and it was the king size wooden headboard. I was assured everything was OK. However, once the belongings were in my apartment, I immediately noticed extensive damage to the bedroom furniture which was purchased new in 2015. I called Joseph Hull right away while the movers were in my apartment and discussed the damage. Following the phone call, I sent several pictures as well as the cost to replace the damaged furniture (broke headboard, broke dresser drawer, deep scrapes on the dresser and bed running boards, two large rips in the king size pillow top mattress). Joseph assured me he would come by the following week (one month ago today) to see the damage and arrive at a solution. I have made numerous attempts seeking cooperation from Pack-It Movers / Joseph Hull in this matter; however, after a multitude of calls, voicemails, text messages, etc., Pack-it Movers has not made any effort to resolve this matter. This experience added unnecessary stress to what I hoped would be a smooth move from / to an apartment.. I am extremely disappointed and hope this complaint saves others from being exposed to the unprofessional business practices demonstrated by Pack-It Movers.

***BEWARE*** This was hands down the worst experience, I wish I could give them zero stars. I was scheduled for 9AM, no one showed up until after 2PM. I was told my furniture would be wrapped, that was a complete LIE. I was told this was a FULL service moving company, another lie. I had to put my bed back together because whoever did it did such a horrible job the entire thing would wobble. The crew tossed my furniture from ground level to the top level and over the balcony, some of my couch cushions were on the ground (after it was a day of raining). I would say 80% of my furniture has something wrong with it now, drawers wont close properly, scratches, missing items (screws/bolts), dents and dings on my washer and dryer. **NOTE** If you file an insurance claim on your damaged items, the company actually takes it into their procession and youre left without your furniture and about $5 to help you replace your item. I never ever received an apology for anything, not for being extremely late, not for a crew member hitting on me, and not for any broken/damaged/missing items. When it was all said and done: my desk was in pieces and didnt even come off the truck, my mattress has black stains all over it, broken wine glasses, scratched furniture, drawers no longer shut to my nightstand or chester drawers, items missing from an $80 baby gate, my CPU was so damaged I can just open it up and see the inside of it. I will GLADLY forward you the e-mail string for anyone wanting to see just how unprofessional and incompetent this company is. Make sure you view the photos of all the damage! I feel like I paid for someone to damage all of my items. I would only suggest this company to my worst enemies. Dont fall for the low price, trust me...youll pay more in the end. *EDIT* "Your claim of scratched washer from dolly has been reviewed and acknowledged. You have filed an insurance claim and we gladly honored to cover your belongings." THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE. They never filed any insurance claim for me. Thank you for nothing.

Do not use this company. Hiring them was the worst experience Ive had ever had with a moving company or any company in general for that matter. They lied about their quoted price, scratched and gouged my hardwood floors, showed up late for pick up AND delivery, are STILL currently withholding my deposit they lied about refunding me and even had the audacity to accuse me of not being a customer when I left poor reviews on public sites. The owner Anthony and his co-worker Joe were threatening and belligerent over the phone. Their business ethics are non-existent and they will lie about anything to make a quick dime at a customers expense. Ive even had a dispute open with them through the BBB, but as theyre not an accredited business (easy to see why) the BBB cant force arbitration. Thus, having no business ethics whatsoever, theyve offered me no kind of resolution. Reviews are everything to businesses like this and their poor reviews speak volumes. Update: In reply to the owners most recent response, what would be considered theft and a crime is stealing money from customers that you lied about refunding and charging substantially more than agreed upon by your given quote (that conversation was recorded without my consent by your business as well I have documented proof in receipts showing I not only paid in full but was forced to pay more because of your threats). Its also considered a crime to run your drivers over hours of service regulations and illegally record phone conversations, both of which youve done. Your lies are obnoxious and unfounded. Ill give you this, Ill definitely be sure to hire PROFESSIONALS in the future, which youve clearly shown youre not capable of being.

Giving 2 stars ONLY because the owner spoils this one. The movers themselves were rather diligent at getting the job done during my familys move. However, this is one of those companies you may want to get certain things in writing. Not just record of a quote, but more specifically, a COURTESY copy of common items they DO NOT move for customers...such as floor model TVs or flat screen TVs. Never encountered this issue with other moving companies. Wouldve been nice to have had a heads-up on that. Didnt find out until the movers got to the house the morning of, and by that time it was too short of a notice to cancel and hire a different company. Apparently, the "owner" Anthony leaves certain details to the "discretion of the driver," and claimed he just "doesnt have time" to go over every single term and condition with customers. When I questioned him about this, the discussion quickly became unpleasant as he hauled excuses, began to raise his voice in a hostile manner, then abruptly hung up the phone. My husband even tried calling him back for clarification on this, and Anthony quickly hung up yet again. I didnt even get to ask him about the wrong-sized truck possibly being sent over for our move (as per an employees statement once they realized everything wouldnt fit on the truck...and theyre the ones who said we didnt have a lot of stuff to move.) Either way, this owners attitude, in and of itself, shows how he could care less about the satisfaction of his customers. GET A QUOTE OF THE HOURLY CHARGE, ANY SUPPLEMENTAL CHARGES, AND DETAILS OF COMMON HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND ELECTRONICS THEY DO NOT MOVE (IN WRITING VIA EMAIL) PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED MOVE DATE.
