I had a leak in my roof and called ARS American Roofing Solutions. The owner, Mitch Hentrich, came out and walked around on the roof, showed me some pictures and said the wood was rotten under the tiles in a small area of the roof. He quoted a little over $5000 to do the repairs and spent an hour telling me how difficult and time consuming it would be. He said he would do a temporary repair while he was there but that hed have to come back in two weeks to complete the job. He asked for a deposit of $2540.00 (50%) to secure his time to do the job. He spent about 90 minutes on the roof and claimed it was fixed at least till he could get back in two weeks. However, all I got was excuse after excuse about why he couldnt come back as scheduled. After three weeks of delays I asked for at least a partial refund which he refused to give. He now claims that the 90 minutes spent on the roof making a repair that didnt work earned him 50% of the job that was supposed to take 4 days with tile removal, wood replacement and gutter repair. He provided nothing of value and did not perform the work. At this point Im out $2540.00 and paid another roofer recommended by the original builder to do the whole job correctly for under $1000. Additionally, he presented a liability insurance certificate that was phony. I called the company and they said no such policy was in effect. He also uses the BBB logo on his materials claiming to be a "BBB Gold Star Certificate" recipient. However, the BBB says hes not even BBB member. This guy is dishonest - stay far away!

Mitch (the owner) came out and fixed my roofing of a three-story building for a reasonable price. Since our building is elevated from ground street, it is in fact more like a 3.5-story home; yet, Mitch went up there without problem. The leakage problem was largely fixed, but a small leakage (much much less than before) was detected after a short but extremely heavy rain. I told Mitch about this today and he honored his warranty and will come out and try to detect and fix it. I may come back again to update about this. At least now, I am happy with what Mitch has been doing. Finally, for fairness I have to say that even with this small leakage, Mitch had already done a much better job than my previous roofer, who charged less money but did not produce the result. For this reason, I am giving Mitch a straight Five.

We initially hired Mitch 12/2010 to clean all gutters and make necessary roof repairs. He was very professional and did an excellent job. He performed the same services last year and, again, everything was good. So, I contacted Mitch to return this year. We scheduled a morning appointment and he never showed or called. After waiting until 3:00 for him to show, I tried to contact him and ended up leaving a message. I tried to call back twice and have yet to receive a return phone call. Just a simple call would have been sufficient!

Mitch fix the roof leaks after hurricane Harvey. He found out that the leak wouldnt have happen if the AC guy who worked in our attic to relocate the pipe underneath the vent did his job right. Mitch went up the roof and re-seal not just the vent that was leaking but the whole vents on the roof! What an awesome guy! He truly cares about his wok and his customers! Theres no doubt that ARS Roofing will be my next company and will recommend among my peers and friends. A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+

He inspected the effected area, in addition to the entire roof. He was very thorough, including taking pictures and explaining the problem. He put a tarp on my roof using a reliable method to withstand the remaining days of the storm. Thank you Mitch for the quick response and great service!!

Christmas Eve, windstorm blew a large limb on our new home. After calling numerous roofing companies in the Houston area, we got a hold of American Roofing Solutions. The owner himself came within the hour and EMERGENCY COVERED the hole. Christmas day the owner returned to finish the repair. We highly recommend ARS for all of your roofing needs. I live in one of the "metal houses" that are so prevalent in Houston - and a group of neighbors and I had Mitch do several houses in a batch - He did a great job (especially given the heat in August). When 6 months later I had a leak, he came back and found the problem and fixed it! It is hard to find folks that stand behind their warranty, but I can testify that ARS does indeed.
