Was referred here twice. First, brought in an old Honda that I got for free and had a transmission that was slipping and they told me repairs would total about $3500..said it needed a complete trans rebuild. I found out the car just didnt have any trans fluid, and about a year later and that car is still going strong. Then, I went back to get their opinions on my current daily driver. It is a vw and they give me the BS that vws are more expensive to fix than Japanese cars. Ok, this is stupid. Its not like Japan is some 3rd world country where parts are made in sweatshops on cheap labor, and Germany is definitely closer than Japan so shipping alone should make Jap parts cost more..and my car was made in Mexico! Not Germany! They charged me about $80 to look at my car and told me that my car needed some bushings replaced and it would cost about $600. Well, my tire was wearing out so i thought it was my bushing. Took it to a small shop next to my job and they tell me my suspension is perfect...all i needed was a new tire, and they didnt even charge me to look at it. All of my bushings are great. Avoid this place. They are crooks and probably have the employees write these great reviews.

Went to the shop to get my AC fixed. The owner told me that he would charge 85$ for electrical fix and would throw in a freon diagnosis for free. I told him that if you find that it is anything else call me before you fix it. The owner calls me and tells me that he found that the car needs a s/w upgrade which is 95$ and then he would be able to make the electrical fix which is 85$ so i said no dont do it and i will come take the car back. I went and he asked me for 88$ to my surprise and he says thats for the diagnosis. Upon resisting and telling him that this is not what was told, the owner started shouting and cussing at me and took my keys and said either pay or go without the car. not wanting to fight, I agreed to pay. Even after paying the owner was shouting and kept saying things like dont drive the car drive a horse. Horrible place...can never even think of going there again.

10 stars!! Went there today and had a remarkable experience. They went out of their way to help me with my car care needs. Fred was also very honest and courteous. I previously failed state inspection by another inspector due to braking distance issues. Fred told me that he saw absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes...they were working great. He even explained to me the process and benchmarks for testing brakes during inspection and how my car performed against that test. I hadnt noticed a problem with them either. I went ahead and asked Fred to complete an oil change and tune-up for me since my car was already there anyway. As a single female, I always find myself in a position where mechanics are usually trying to get over...not anymore. Auto Care Unlimited now has me as a customer for as long as I am living here. 10-12-2012 Auto Experience at Auto Care Unlimited was Excellent. First impressed by Courtesy, Friendliness and Auto Knowledge of Fred and Tony. as they gave very good phone auto information, explained what would be done to fix described problems and gave an accurate cost estimate for auto work to be performed. Both Fred and Tony went out of their way to make sure everything was done the way it should be with pricing that was not only appropriate, but even given with an applied discount. If Triple A (AAA) card is presented, even better as to applied savings. I give only a few recommendations. BUT this company, Owner, Manager and all staff, Mechanics, etc., are highly recommended as to doing quality, fiendly and appropriately priced auto service. L. Cranston, J. Rogers, etc., J.H.

One of the biggest challenges in moving to a new city is finding the right mechanic for your vehicles. After a lot of research and test drives :-), we have found Auto Care Unlimited to be the best in the West Houston Area. They are honest and trustworthy. We know that they are only going to do what is needed to our vehicles and have always given us great prices. I dont understand this review below at all! Maybe they just got on the wrong site :-) The prices they are giving in the negative review are definitely not even close to what we have paid. Our family has been using Auto Care Unlimited for over 7 years now and have always been happy and pleased with their work and prices.

Came here through coworkers word of mouth. Great service with a very friendly staff. Will not try to push a lot of additional work on you. Came in with a car that wouldnt start, and they diagnosed that it was the battery. Had only two options for replacements, and the cheaper one wouldnt fit, so they knocked down the price of the other one for me. Once my dealer warranty expires on my new car, I will be returning!

Ive been going here for a few years. After bad experiences with other mechanics, I found these guys to be honest and direct. Ive even asked them to make repairs I didnt need by mistake and they pointed out that I didnt need them. They basically turned down extra money. Thats just awesome.

That was my first choice for my car repair, and lucky for me. What I liked the most was the way he troubleshot the car issues and always gave me warranties! So five "STARS" for the services and has a person just multiply by a thousand. I extremely recommend Him/them.

Honest Mechanics! Brought my truck in for overheating, and instead of replacing thermostat, then water pump, etc., etc. - they fixed a loose wire and barely charged me anything! Had a similar experience when they fixed my a/c - wonderful place!

Ive been using Auto Care Unlimited for a few years now and I am very satisfied with them. I highly recommend these guys. They dont sell you stuff you dont need like a lot of mechanics. They do a good job too.
