My laptop decided to stop working the day I needed it the most. My laptop was slow as molasses; any program I wanted to open took years and any document I wanted to open never did. Mind you this is a laptop with good specifications for performance. With all of the free cloud backups available to me I did not think to backup any of my data. Thankfully, Slate I.T was there to save my day and possibly the next couple of months. I decided to give them a call and they priced matched any offer other companies made me. I decided to drop off my laptop at their office and from there I knew everything was going to be okay. The techs knew exactly what was wrong in a couple of minutes (failing hard-drive) and gave me a turn around time of about two days. The very next day, I gleefully answered their phone call; telling me my laptop was ready to be picked up and my data was all intact. Best part of all, it was all under 200 dollars! They also recommended programs that would safe guard me from these types of issues. Thank you guys. I definitely will be spreading the word.

They very quickly diagnosed a failing HDD as the cause of failure of my laptop to boot, and were able to install a new one and rescue the data from the old one. They also suggested that power issues were probably due to a faulty battery, having checked all the internal connections, and then managed to track down a new (but discontinued) pack from out-of-state. Drop-off and pick-up was a breeze, Taylor kept me regularly updated while the work was performed, and the final price was exactly as quoted. A great experience compared to some of the computer repair places - Id have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

The MOST responsive and efficient service of the kind Ive ever had. In my case, I experienced a hard drive failure. Slate was first to quote (within a couple of minutes) on Thumbtack, they were very reasonably priced, and always quickly answered the phone or called back within a couple of minutes. They picked up my machine and dropped it off a day later repaired (as estimated). No surprises or "gotchas"....just good service. Solid group - would strongly recommend their services.
