I have had experience with many mechanics over the years and have many horrible stories. This shop is an exception to any Ive ever encountered. They CARE about your business and they SHOW it with incredible service. It all starts at the top and the owner, Mike, really makes it a point to get to know you, what brings you in, how to help, and they fix the problem. Why is that such a big deal? One word: Honesty This is one of the rare shops you can trust to diagnose your problem and be honest about what its going to cost to fix it. My son and I both had separate problems with two different vehicles. My son was told by another shop it would cost at least $2200 to fix and he may need a new engine. (Really? I doubted it from the beginning and asked him to get a second opinion.) He called Mike and they towed it to their shop. When it was all finished--it was a $400 fix. No new engine needed. I brought my Jeep in for the air conditioning. I had taken it to another shop and the guy put dye in it, told me to drive it around for a week and come back so they could see where it was leaking. It cost me $200. He told me it would range from $1200-1700 to fix it. After my sons experience, I took it to Eagle Transmission. Within a couple of hours, they put dye in it (Again), recharged it, found the leak, and advised it was a very common issue. Total cost: $289. When I had called back to see when it would be ready, Mike apologized I had to call him. Really. When was the last time a business apologized to YOU for not calling you back? I bet its been a long time, if ever. Today, he followed up to make sure everything was okay. Guess what? Its more than okay. I will take my car to this shop for anything and everything I need. The people who work there, take pride in their work. They are happy and helpful. The best thing is, I know these guys are being honest with us and that is a very, very rare thing these days. I wish everyone followed the lead on the way they run their business. Its incredible.

I have now used Eagle for three repairs - the first, a clutch replacement on a 1985 Toyota pickup. An easy job, but a trial to see how they performed. Perfect! Quick, and very reasonable. The second was a rebuild on a 1990-ish Nissan Maxima with a very sick manual transmission - 1st would not stay in gear at all, and second was starting to jump out too. They gave me a very reasonable price, and did the repair in a timely manner. We did have a secondary failure of a part that looked OK during the rebuild, but Mike and Eagle handled it with no questions asked and no additional charges. Most recently, we had a Mercedes E320 with a transmission that would just plain fail to move the car after 15 to 30 miles or so. The dealer was incompetent - their only suggestion was a full trans replacement for about $6000 (service? Whats that . . . we only sell parts, we dont fix anything . . . ) and a number of other shops that told us $3500 or so, and didnt offer any other path. Eagle told us that a check was no charge, and then depending on if they needed to get into it to finalize a diagnosis, that that would be $389 and we could stop there if too much $$$, or proceed with that sum credited towards the total. Completely reasonable to me, and exactly what we were looking for - give me a real number without a major commitment! Once apart, the mechanic went over the problem with me, and showed me the problems in the torn down trans (I do pretty much everything *but* trans work) to make sure that I understood what was up, and quoted the work at $2500 for a full rebuild with a 1 year 12K mile guarantee, just like in the past. From the OK, we were done in less than a week, and Mike wanted to keep the car an extra day to ensure that they had time to do a long enough test drive, since the initial problem was not immediate. Absolutely nothing to fault here, and everything to praise! Honest, open, fairly priced, and timely!

Just a simple review on the services that I received at Eagle Transmission on Mill Street in Lewisville TX. My Jeep Cherokees transmission was not working as it should and after searching for reviews on transmission rebuilds, I chose Eagle Transmission. Ernie, the manager, recommended a transmission rebuild (around Feb/Mar 2015). The quote was a little higher than expected since Ive had numerous transmissions rebuilt and have some idea of the cost, but it was in the ballpark. It took 6 weeks for the rebuild to be done. My frequent calls to the manager for updates were met with "Ill call you back shortly" which he rarely did. After picking up my vehicle, I noticed a significant transmission fluid leak that same day. I took it back for further repairs. That took another week. After the repairs, my transmission shifted rather violently. Manager claimed it was normal and to let it break in. Roughly 6 months later, my transmission started spewing fluid and leaking down on my exhaust system causing massive smoke. Took it back for warranty repair. On a positive note, they did honor their warranty, but did not even offer to explain what had happened and what needed the repair. In addition, while performing the warranty repair, they recommended replacing the seal between the transfer case and transmission. I said ok (bad choice). After a few months, I noticed a grinding sound beneath the jeep. I took it to a reputable repair shop and he found that the transfer case was dry and the chain and gears had been grinding into the case itself. Needed to replace the entire transfer case. Im not claiming Eagle left it dry, but they did replace the seal. After my experience there, I would never take any vehicle to Eagle transmission. If Eagle wishes to refute my experience by stating they cannot find any mention of me in their records, I will happily provide receipts for the work done.

I have brought my PT Cruiser twice to Eagle Transmission and have received excellent service both times I have been there. This last trip has proved these guys are looking out for you. Before coming in another mechanic who was doing my state inspection had notice my check engine light was not coming on when the car first started. He had offered to fix it but his shop could not because of the way my dashboard was cracked. So, I took it to Eagle Transmission because I also needed to get my A/C fixed. When Eagle Transmission took a look at my car they found out that someone had put electrical tape over my check engine light. I guess the prior owner had taken it to some shady mechanics before selling it off. We also found out about the unreported front end damage that did not show up on either CarFax of AutoCheck report that was causing my A/C to fail. Because of the age of the car we had quite of few things that needed to be replaced. Eagle Transmission doesnt hunt for problems but if there is a major problem that could cause serious damage down the line they will let you know. After my vehicle was fixed they even washed my car and vacuumed! Talk about excellent customer service! They kept us updated on on the repairs on my car. Even when we called almost every day they were nothing but kind and courteous to both my fiance and I. The cost of the repairs were not outrageous, what they quote on repairs stays about the same when you pay, and I feel confident my car will last me another couple of years!
