My Husband and I didnt feel like we were ripped off like we have always felt at other repair shops! The Staff was friendly, and didnt try to sell us service or parts not needed to repair our car! We took our car in and they were very busy BUT the wait time wasnt that long at all...quality work cannot be achieved in 30 minute lunch break! If other people are in line ahead of you, you have to wait...a line is a line no matter where we go...We will be taking our cars and trucks to Affordable Automotive from now on, and telling family and friends! As We waited there, there was an older gentleman that thought he was going to need a full ac repair that was going to cost him about 750.00 (what he thought it would need), and the mechanic told him all he needed was a bit of ac coolant...cost him way less than 100.00 bucks! Love this honest and friendly place...

Do not be fooled, there is nothing affordable about Affordable Automotive. I had the worst experience ever with a repair shop. Unfortunately, I had to have my car towed, so I had it towed to Affordable because it was near my house and I thought it was a minor repair to my linkage in the shifter and my regular repair shop is located in Dallas, TX. They wanted to charge me almost $1000 for repair and replace of my complete shifter mechanism. I told them not to touch it, I also told them to leave the gear shift open so I could manually put car in Drive and bring it to my regular repair shop. It turned out that it did nto require replacing of the shifter mechanism and my mechanic had it repaired for 1/2 the price. In addition, the service technician was unhelpful and rude. Stay clear of this place there are far more reputable repair shops in the area.

I have been going here for over 2 years & know their service well. They are the only ones that touch my Diesel F250, not a FORD Dealer. I travel 40,000 - 50,000 miles/year and see them about every 45-60 days. My truck is how I run my business, driving around a 6 state region. They know their stuff, they dont search to charge you more, they are slow because they are thorough. They find items you should fix as not to be left stranded. The counter can be slow because they are engaged with another customers situation in the shop. If you are a North Dallas Metromite with zero patience this is not the place for you.... go to Kwik Car, Goodyear & etc... the ones where they tell you they are doing all the stuff for a warm fuzzy & the high school flunkie just left your cap off.

Went in for an oil change. THEY TOOK FOREVER. I went on a weekday and I was the only person there. Turns out the mechanic was doing an checkup to see what else was wrong with the car. Surprise, its a $400 repair. I didnt want an checkup, just an oil change! They also charged me extra for their special oil when I didnt even ask for it. While waiting for the oil change, a lady came in and asked for an oil change for her Mercedes. The guy looks at her and immediately says $600. Shes surprised and walks out right away. After shes out of the building, the front desk guy laughs and says thats why you drive a Mercedes. I do not want to give money to people like this.

We have had to use their services at least 4-5 times now. So far we have no complaints. The people we personally have spoken with have not been rude as other posters have stated. They have been most helpful and have given us good car care at reasonable prices. This is in comparison to other car repair places in the metroplex weve used in the past. So, if a disgruntled person had a bad experience - we have not seen the same problems and cannot complain. I hope we never have an issue with them but knock on wood...its been okay so far! As a matter of fact, we are picking up one of our cars there this afternoon. knock knock knock...

My father took my vehicle in last week when the check engine light turned on. We found Affordable Automotive to be very up front and honest. Turns out, when my car had been repaired earlier, the replacement part that came from Mitsubishi was faulty. Affordable Automotive went out of their way to procure a replacement part (which was not easy to do), made sure that the warranty on the part was honored by Mitsubishi, and made the necessary repair (which was involved and time-consuming!) at no cost to me. I an very grateful for their diligence and honesty.

Stopped by here on a Tuesday morning around 10AM. After standing at the front desk for about 10 minutes a guy finally came up and said "what do ya need?" I asked if they could look at my brakes since my brake light just came on without skipping a breath the guy said " be about 3 hours"... seriously bro? I was the only person there and it would be 3 hours to just check my brakes and give me a quote. did not seem interested in doing business or any type of customer service skills.

I took a vehicle in for a moan from my power steering and they quoted me a $1500 repair that involved replacing the pump, the rack and all the hoses. I left there immediately, took it to Firestone and they said it was a leak in the power steering hose and was a minor repair they could do the same day. They took care of it, and I havent had an issue since. I will never take a car back to Affordable Automotive in Little Elm and would highly recommend you dont either.

I have used Affordable Automotive for several years now and been happy with the work. I have had zero problems with them and they have been easy to work with. Last year I paid to have all of my belts replaced and their technician missed one that was part of the replacement package. I didnt catch this, they did and called me the next day to notify me. They quickly fixed it and on top of that gave me a free oil and filter change for the inconvenience it caused me.

The staff were very unfriendly. The quote was expensive. I agree with the other reviewers. The quoted price was high. They seem honest though, but companies should not be giving themselves a 5 star on Google Reviews. I asked them not to work on the problem, and brought it to another place to fix it for less, and the OTHER auto repair shop did not make it sound like a huge issue. Nor did the other repair shop complain about the issue.

Dont usually right reviews, but wanted to in this case. Called to get a price on an oil change and to change a couple O2 sensors. Dont remember guys name, but he was a total prick. I asked for a quote on a small repair, dude told me phone quotes are a waste of his time. He said people usually dont show up he is probably just wanting to see who he is working with so he can gouge you. Stay way, dont trust them.
