I wish I had never gone to this stupid place because of all the anger they caused me. I saw an ad to get all 4 brake pads replaced and the rotors re-surfaced for $99. My brakes did not squeak or anything, I could just tell by pushing on my brakes that they needed new pads. I went in on a Sat, the sleazy mullet-bearing manager told me to wait a few minutes and he would have "the guys" do a quick assessment on what needed to be done. He then took me into the bay area & proceeded to parade me around my car & show me all the brake parts saying they were severely eroded and thats why they were squeaking. I kept telling him over and over that they ARE NOT squeaking. He told me that ALL 4 brakes had to be completely redone. When I asked him how much he said it would total over $500! I told him that I did not have that kind of money saved up for this. And he literally looked at me and said, "Are you kidding?" I said "No I am not kidding I just want the $99 brake pad replacement & rotor re-surfacing." After that he was blatantly unfriendly to me. The other customers he was nice and jovial with, and when he called my name is was very short and snotty. He also lectured me, in front of the other customers, on how he absolutely WILL NOT guarantee the work they did on my car because I did not get the repairs he had suggested and wrote an ugly note on my receipt about how I "REFUSED REQUIRED REPAIRS". I was so angry after all this bullsh*t. They were not "required" repairs obviously... my brakes STILL did not squeak and worked fine after that. I really felt that he was trying to take advantage of me. He was a premium grade douchebag! I should have known when I saw the mullet! NEVER AGAIN!

I gotta tell ya, working with Miguel Luna/Manager is a customers best treat. And you want to know what the second best treat is? Its Christopher, their head Mechanic. Both these guys know what their talking about and theres no tricks. They show you what needs to be done. Hey, Im a guy, Im visual. Their the real deal. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy because I broke my own bank account dropping 2K at their store recently. Why? I had my last break job at their store 3 years ago and what they put in then lasted a friggin 80K miles! Unheard of here in this Texas heat. And then I had them replace my radiator that went south on me. Im headed their real soon to get my oil changes done. Forget my old trusted just a block away tried and true former grease monkeys. These guys at Just Brakes do it all. I like that. And besides Miguel loves to laugh at my sense of humor. Look, I got feelings too and giving my hard earned money away in a old car makes me feel better when they can keep it going for just a little while longer and humor me when I should be considering getting a new one. But for the time being, Ill schlepp my car into their trustful mechanical hands while I bide my time in a waiting room full of nervous patrons, fish in their fish tank blowing me kisses while Chris is in the shop in the belly of my car. Through it all, theirs trusty Miguel helping everyone he can on the phone and in person and putting up with me and my antics which makes me feel right at home and right where my car should be.

History: Huffines Dodge quoted ~$350 for just front brakes and rotors, telling me I had 1-2mm of pad left. Goodyear stated I had 3-4mm of pads left and quoted about the same. I visited this location of Just Brakes on 08/03/2010, greeted by Gary. Within 15 min, I was IN the bay inspecting my truck with Gary, getting a rundown of needed/suggested items. They measured all my rotors INFRONT of me, confirming Huffines claim that the front rotors were below spec, requiring replacement. Gary continued to show my worn calipers and bearing assemblies, etc... When all was worked up, yes it was over $1200 all inclusive (as will ANY repair shop give you warnings/quotes), but when I declined the work, Gary was more than accomodating and brought it down to within an expected range - AND, I was getting the back brakes replaced and rotors turned. AND, while somewhat necessary, they replenished some older brake fluid when they bled the system. I was skeptical, as I typically would stick with a dealer or some more general place like Goodyear/Firestone/NTB due to shows like 20/20 or Primetime, etc... but this chance paid off. I was especially skeptical due to Garys warning that older calipers with apparent issues could seize up when they compress them - BUT, it all went back together fine. So far, so good, I would recommend it to my friends and family based on this experience.

This place is amazing! Sears in Lewisville screwed my brakes up worse than what they already were and then gave me some horrible BS excuses as to why the issue didnt seem to be fixed. Fed up I went down the highway to the professionals at Just Brakes. I was greeted warmly at 7AM and was offered breakfast while my brakes were looked at. The staff was so nice and down to earth! Mike the manager is the best. While I waited for my repairs to get done I witnessed 3 or 4 others come in and request their brakes to be changed. Instead of just doing what they asked and easily/unnecessarily taking their money Mike came back after inspecting their brake system to inform each of them that the issues they had been having were not due to their brakes at all and directed them where to go to really get their vehicle issue resolved. That to me is true integrity and honesty!! I will always go to Just Brakes for my brake needs because of this..my only regret was not going to these guys in the first place! Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart

Ill be brief. I spent just over $1800 having Just Brakes in Lewisville replace all four brakes and the CV joint on my 1982 VW Rabbit Truck. It took them over 18 hours to complete the work over three days. The original estimate was about 4 hours. The first set of brakes they installed locked up while I was driving. They replaced those, but did try to reuse unsuitable parts. Eight days after the work was complete, the CV joint fell off the truck, stranding my wife. I had the truck towed to a local shop and they told me they CV joint was not actually bolted on properly. I went back to the office to complain, and was told that JB would cover the cost of having the local shop fix the CV joint. Two weeks later, I called corporate find out the status of my claim and was told that it was never filed. Three weeks later I finally had the check, although the corporate office lied to me about the status several times. In addition, the master brake cylinder has been slowly leaking ever since they "fixed" it.

I took my somewhat new car in for std brake job, and they recommended over $600 in repairs that were completely unnecessary. I was well-dressed as a business man, and was in a hurry when I dropped off my luxury car for std brake job. I got a call later that I needed to replace calipers on all wheels. I immediately walked over from my office to the shop to inspect them - I have extensive background in car mechanics. I found that the caliper boots showed no signs damage/wear, that the calipers retracted easily, and that all related parts were in good shape. I asked why they suggested that I replace them, and after stumbling for a reason, they said that because I had metalic pads, the heat would not dissapate quickly enough and consequently damaged the calipers, thereby requiring that they be replaced. What a joke. Stay away!
