UPDATE: Janice assured me this situation would be handled & she was very kind! Im extremely pleased w/ the way she dealt with the situation. Thank you to Laurie who helped me this morning as well. Initial bad experience: I get there & walk in and say I have a service appt. Very abruptly, the woman tells me, "You can pull your car in to the service garage & someone will come out and help you." Okay...I didnt know where to go - Im sure people come in there instead of the garage all day - no problem. I pull into the garage & wait in my car for a bit & think, Ill get out so someone knows that I need help. At least 15 service employees walk past me & into the shop without saying anything, the woman in the office told me someone would come out to help, so I wait. About 15 mins go by & finally I ask one of the guys walking by (hes passed me about 3 times), "Hey? Is there someone that can help me...the woman in the office said someone would come to me, so I dont want to impose, but am I supposed to go somewhere?" Where does he send me? Back into that office. Adam helped me (great job, Adam, thank you! This review is not about you - keep doing what youre doing). I had scheduled this appt beforehand, so youd think all my info they took over the phone would be logged. My info wasnt anywhere so they took all again - no biggie. I told them from the get go I needed to utilize the shuttle service to get back to work-it was going to take 2.5 hrs to take care of the recall. I waited in the lobby for 45 mins for the shuttle service bc "it just left to take someone else." Totally fine! I understand, but what I dont get is what is the point of making an appt & scheduling the shuttle service? There isnt one.The shuttle driver gets there, takes me back to work & I confirm with him that once my car is done theyll pick me up from work to get my car. I dropped it off between 12-12:30, they said it would take about 2.5 hrs - I get a call at 3:28 from Adam that my car is finished. I ask to schedule the shuttle to get me, he transfers me to one of the girls at the service desk - she says its going to be awhile because hes out dropping someone else off, I say thats ok - she asks if the # Im calling from is a good callback # - yes, I say Ill be waiting for the call from him once he gets here. Heres where I get upset. 1 hr passes, Im starting to think, ok...they only travel in a 15 mi radius, whats the deal? I call back the # I was called on & the girl in the office is SO RUDE! I say, "Hi I called & requested the shuttle service when I got the call my car was ready. I know you said it would be awhile, but I just wanted to see whats up - is he on his way?" The girl SNAPS "Hes BEEN there WAITING on YOU for like 35 mins! Hes been calling & you havent been answering, so we told him to come back!" I say, "Oh no! Ive been here with my phone right in front of me - I dont have any missed calls or voicemails (ex when the call doesnt go through, you have no missed call, but theres a voicemail) NOTHING...what # do yall have on file?" "The one youre calling us from!!" *rude, accusing tone* "Can you read off the # yall have on file, bc I havent missed a call & I dont have any texts or emails trying to reach out saying he was here..." "Weve all been calling & you havent answered so we sent him back!!" I have NO leverage whatsoever in this situation. THEY have MY car...I cant go anywhere - no lender vehicle Im trying to make a break for it with. I ask, "Well, will you send him back...I have no way to get home, I need my car." "Well, its gonna be awhile, he was already there." Whatever. He gets here & I see hes been calling the wrong # all along - 1645 instead of 0645, go figure. Not to mention he was on snapchat when I came out to the car. When we get back to the dealership they ARGUE with me in the office that I was IGNORING their calls and that it was MY fault. I told them theres a right way & a wrong way to handle a situation like this & this is the wrong way.

Buyers Beware!! Buyers Beware!! Buyers Beware!! The Classic Bait and Switch Business Model!! As a VW Client for the last 5 years with New VW Purchases from AutoBahn VW in Fort Worth (New 2011 Jetta) and Lewisville VW (New 2013 CC and New 2013 Passat), I was very disappointed with level of Sale Service and Expertise given to my process in purchasing a New 2016 VW Passat. I have to say that I was very dissappointed from the start when I noticed that Metro VW puts "Dealer Adds" on all its available New Stocked VWs,such as: Solar Barrier Window Tint $499(@ a 300% Mark Up),3M Protective Door Edge $299 (@ a 300% Mark Up), and 3 year Maintenance Protection Package $599. A total of $1397 Dealer Add before you even test Drive VW, WOW!! "Educated Consumer" should be on notice when any Dealer like Metro VW who "Likes To Get Their, Before The Consumer". As a so-called "Educated Consumer" Im not surprise base on the knowledge Metro VW is owned by Group 1 Automotive and this is a "Business Model" used at all its locally own Dealerships, in which I have been a Client in last 2 years(Dallas Dodge and Mini of Arlington). See, Consumers should aways have a "Choice" to what options are wanted or needed for that particular Consumers, its not the Dealership place to be a "Front Runner" on the Client. Anytime a Dealership is willing to "Front Runs" on a Consumer it kills all chances of the Consumer getting the true LTV from Banks or Lenders which is very important to getting a Auto Loan from the Lenders. Metro VW is a Front Runner"!! Metro VW greed, got in the way of me getting a so-called Auto Loan for a Lender. Lucky, I dont give up and I was able to get financing at another VW Dealer which make no sense at all. Now, Im not saying that Dealer shouldnt make money or look out for their best interests but what Im saying is that the Consumer always comes first and "Dealers Options" should be second to last in any purchasing situation. Also, its NOT UP TO "Sale Manager" or the "Finance Manager" to submit what Deals should or should not be submitted to the Banks or Lenders. Lenders and Banks say "Yes or No" and Sale Manager and Finance Manager say How Much and Thank You". When did Sale Managers start giving Loans? Total Unprofessional !! A waste of my time!! My experience with Metro VW has reminded me that great statements like "WE Want Be Under Sold" and Dealer Options on EVERY NEW AND USED Car are nothing but a BAIT and SWITCH Business Model that only serve Dealer and Consumers so BUYER BEWARE when Dealing with Metro VW. PS... Mr. Moore, I want call you, unless you call me first..Remember, Im the Client. Mr.Wright

I am in an interesting position as a car buyer. I am evaluating a wide range of vehicles and a variety of manufacturers. Domestic, Japanese, and German. The Volkswagen Golf GTI is a vehicle that I am considering, so I reached out to Metro Volkswagen here in Irving, Texas to schedule a test drive. I was connected with Igor Mijatovich, who was an absolute blast to connect with. He set up a test drive in a vehicle that fell within my parameters and I drove to the dealership to meet him and drive the car. I was disappointed to have a salesman from the used-car building literally standing beside my car, as I was parking. Car dealerships --- *please* stop doing that. Its almost predatory in its inappropriateness. I worked in sales for nearly 10 years -- there is absolutely no reason someone should be standing beside my car, when I am seated, and have yet to even unbuckle and open my door. Please stop this. I know you have to sell cars -- I know folks have to pay their bills. I promise you will sell *more* cars, if you give customers the basic courtesy of personal space and 15 seconds to collect themselves after they have parked. That disappointing experience was short-lived, and the used car salesman was very apologetic when I expressed my displeasure at this policy. My experience for the rest of my visit was absolutely 5 stars. I was never pressured into providing financial information in order to test-drive the vehicle -- all of my questions were answered, and my poor manual driving abilities were not mocked in any way by Igor, who was extremely encouraging, entertaining, and informative. He was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in, as well as the competitors I was considering -- and while he did kid with me for a few of my choices, he in no way bashed the competition and stayed impartial and informative, which is what I was looking for. I highly recommend Igor and will be recommending him to my friends in the Irving area who are looking for a new car. **His service today was 5 Star.** I strongly encourage the used-car director at Metro to cease the policy of having the used-car salesmen directly approach customers immediately after they have parked -- and literally waiting beside their car until they get out. Its unnecessary and unprofessional. Please emulate the new-car sales model more closely.
