My fiance went into the Toyota of Irving dealership to window shop for a pre-owned certified vehicle. We didnt know what to expect. We hadent bought from this dealership before. The dealership is very well kept, but our sales associate didnt know very much about each vehicle. Did a very smooth test drive for each of the cars selected for us. My fiance and I sat down to talk further about numbers for a vehicle that we liked! Moving on to having my fiances credit score looked over for a pre-approved loan. From there we talked to a sales manager in the financial office. He took his time to explain the interest rate we would be offered after asking us a series of questions. My fiance is self employed and owns his own business. He receives pay checks weekly. He claims his income. He gave the finance manager an average but the monthly income is never the same when your self employed. Not being prepared to buy which he ended up doing that day. By this I mean having pay checks in hand for them to send to banks or his tax returns. They find him a bank to give him the auto loan at a very high interest rate. He knows hes going to refinance after just a few payments and get away from Santander the bank Toyota got him approved by. The financial manager prints a contract and is ready for a signature before actually seeing proof of pay checks. He did ask us to bring back pay checks before we could leave with the keys to our car that weve already signed for. We come back he shows the financial manager his proof of income. We drive the car off the lot and still till this day we are very satisfied with the car. About a month later he receives a letter in the mail from Toyota stating he was denied by them because he couldnt show proof of income and doesnt have proof of employment. This is very uncomfortable to read. He immediately takes actions to figure out why this was even sent to him. He shows up at the Toyota of Irving dealership very dissatisfied with the thought he could of gotten a better loan and his documents werent properly filed or given a chance. His dissatisfaction was taken as a huge inconvenience to the General Sales Manager for Toyota of Irving. He had a very full waiting list that day for his financial employees. He asked my fiance to leave the financial area. They walked back onto the show room floor where my fiance continued to ask about another issue he had and had also called to have taken care of in the parts department. The rubber pad that covers the emergency brake was missing on this certified pre-owned Lexus. That is suppose to be a safe complete car! The rubber cover is for the convenience of the traction between your foot and the pedal to push down with ease! He continued to show no remorse for his staffs lack of customer service. He shows the door and points to the parts service area that anyone can find because its in big bold letters. When he had called concerning the part that should of already been on the car within the week of purchase. The parts services mentioned they would need a general mangers approval to have the cost covered. My fiance explained this to the man and the GM still didnt have a moment to finish taking care of my fiance. The GM also began to get very aggravated to the point that he starts clapping his hands towards my fiance and taunting a fight like a juvenile. This general manager doesnt know how to show sympathy to his existing customer. My fiance has been neglected in the finical department for his needs. Now hes being left to go through the same process with the GM and parts department. That hell need a sales managers approval. When the GM was there available to take care of it, The man had walked away to call the Irving police to have my fiance escorted off the property. The police just let him know that it would be best to talk to someone with more authority for Toyota , Irving Police not knowing its family owned dealer nothing will be done. They treat you nice during the sale and treat you like trash after the sale. The GM as well as the Fiancial Manager

I lost all the reputation had with Toyota family due to the recent experience I had on the current purchase from Toyota of Irving. I got call from Toyota of Irving and asked to walk towards the show room for a VVIP program. VVIP program : Sales team from show room explained me that I can trade in my car for a cost and my pay off (Remaining amount "Pay Off" to be paid for Finance will be taken care by Toyota). While performing the final deal, I was asked to sign the agreement for real cost of the car instead of reduced cost after trade in amount. Me and Manager had tough discussion as I disagreed for this deal because the Pay off amount (Told by sales team that it will be taken care by Toyota) put on my shoulders now. I was put in front of the Sales team who worked with me for this deal and I was made to purchase for this deal since I signed the agreement paper with them. Negotiation continued and I was in verge of walking out, but I was insisted to take the deal by the Sales team as I have signed with hidden cost (Pay off) was back on my debt. I have a huge loss on this deal and couldn’t walkout from the show room since I signed in the initial agreement paper with Sales team without know the background of this hidden cost. Now I ended up paying full price of the car and I feel like my car is sold for nothing. Lesson I have Learned, No more trade in business again with Toyota and avoid car purchase with Toyota of Irving. Insisted my friends not to opt for this trade in offer and avoid the call from Toyota of Irving based on my bitter experience ended up huge loss. Lost all trust and hope I had with Toyota group from my 6 years great experience, I was very happy with owning Toyota car since 2009 I landed in US. My first car was Toyota Prius 2005 purchased from Lynch Toyota located in Manchester, Connecticut. Big Brother helped me a lot on all the process in purchasing my dreams and arranged auto loan with Toyota Financial. The entire group of team from Lynch Toyota was very nice and genuine approach with sharing all open hearten, I loved the service and my car. It was black and white for me about this deal, David from Lynch Toyota inspired me with detailing the trade in process and help me understand the real deal for me which Toyota offering as Winter Sale in March 2012. I loved the way Toyota team treated me as part of their family and my satisfaction index raised up the bars. And, Now in Toyota of Irving, I Never expected that I will be betrayed by Toyota Sales team by counseling the customer with wrong expectation and admitting the customer to pay for the faults which was made my Sales team. I walked out with new car with 0% happiness and cheated feeling from that show room.

UPDATE! --- Joseph a sales manager called me and apologized for everything thats been going on and offered to make it right and buy the seats. He was the first one to not demand the seats! It was never about the money for me so he got a good deal, but he genuinely wanted to try and make it right. So it looks like Im keeping the Tundra and they are getting the seats. Updated from 1 star to 3 stars ------------------------------------------ I unfortunately purchased a Tundra from Toyota of Irving. I traded in my Tahoe and came back up to give them the extra key I found. In my searching, I also found the 3rd row seating for the Tahoe and figured I would ask them if they wanted to buy them before I put them on Craisglist. I was passed on to the Sales Manager Steve Martin. He proceed to yell at me in the middle of the sales floor that those seats are part of the deal and that Ill bring them in immediately! Being that I didnt even know if I still had them and Betty, the salesperson I made the deal with, never talked about it or that it was on any piece of paper I signed; I asked him to show me where on the contract it said I would bring in the 3rd row seating. He got frustrated and told me to leave. I did. They then had Betty try to bully me into turning over the seats. Come to find out it was a new appraiser and he/she should have noticed it. But because the sales manager on duty didnt catch it they would have to purchase the seats I was told. They care more about $500- $1000 than a happy returning customer. They could have offered free car washes for a year or to extend my service warranty. They attempted none of this, they stuck with the bully techniques -- give them to us or else. She later called back and said if we dont get the seats were going to have to unwind the whole deal. I said sounds good, Ill drop the truck off tonight. I dont think this was the answer she was expecting so she said she would have to talk to her manager. Unfortunately, we mailed in the title to them and it was still in transit. Daniel Luna (I believe a new car sales manager) said he knew a little of the story and said we would need to unwind the deal and assured me that even they would mail my title back to me. I guess Ill see if get my title back. The whole thing soured me on Toyota of Irving and Toyota in general, if the lack of care for the customer goes all the way up.
