First of all if I could give this place zero stars I would. Im sitting here right now at city garage and i just got done explaining to Lewisville finest(two units) why i was on the property. So after i told the cops i was getting my oil changed they informed me that reason they were called is because a suspicious "BLACK" guy was hanging around the building...of course i was hanging around the building Im waiting for my vehicles oil change to be completed. After being integrated by the police i was told to go wait in the lobby so there wont be any further incident. Now Im sitting in the lobby...pissed, wondering what type of world we live in that people still call the police first without asking questions meaning i wasnt approached and asked what i was doing there, he didnt ask the manager who was on duty who i was nor did he ask the tech who i was in which i had already spoken to while i was waiting on my vehicle. I had been sitting in the lobby 10 minutes before the "guy from cooperate" offered a hollow apology for calling the police on me. This was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience, on the bright side the service on my vehicle was ok, the manager on duty was very professional and helpful and the young female tech with the tattoos was nice and sympathetic to my situation. If youre black Id advise you not to go to this city garage in Lewisville you may not fare as well i did and actually get arrested.

I will never go back to City Garage. I only went there because they are close to my house. On one occasion, I took my car in for an alignment and they said that it need about $1000 worth of work. I took it to Brians automotive for a second opinion and found out it just needed new tires. Yesterday, I took it in to get my brakes checked and they said it needed new brake pads and rotors on the front, new pads and drums on the back, a brake flush, a new radiator, a new thermostat, and a coolant flush for over $1900! I picked it up, it was making a new rubbing noise in rear wheel and took it to Brians Automotive for a second opinion. He said that rear brakes and drums are fine, but it looked like rear brakes were not put back together correctly either purposely or accidentally and had broken the wheel cylinder. The front brakes just need new pads because one side was low. The radiator is not leaking, but looks like it is getting close to leaking and could wait another month or so and to just keep an eye on it. It will be close to half the price at Brians. So the bottom line is, City Garage seems OK occasionally, but they are either dishonest or dont know what theyre doing.

RECENT UPDATE**** Back again to my "go to" shop and nothing has changed - quickest repairs, most concerned and considerate, absolutely the fairest and best pricing on repairs! Its hard to find enough good things to say about this shop and its people! If you are reading this, you either need a repair or routine service and you are trying to decide where to go. I can make that decision easy for you - go to City Garage in Lewisville! ORIGINAL POST: When we moved to Lewisville sixteen years ago, City Garage was my "go to" place for all my Chrylser van needs. Their service was always impeccable - never pricey, always efficient and super caring staff. I took a break when I traded for a new vehicle with factory warranty - it made sense to return to the dealer while they were responsible for the running condition of my Odyssey. But now that my warranty has expired, its back to City Garage and, much to my delight but not a surprise, I still get the same superior service. I cant recommend these folks highly enough - you need to visit them yourself and you will see what I mean!

I came in unannounced, no appointment and had my car inspected within 30 minutes. Doesnt sound like a big deal I know, but weeks later on the freeway (in stop and go traffic) a state trooper advised me that one of my break lights were out. So I took my car back to City Garage in Lewisville and they did a fine job changing the oil. I mentioned that the state trooper told me a break light was out and they looked and noticed that BOTH brake lights were out as well as a turn signal light on the front! They replaced the bulbs for only the cost of the bulbs themselves. Several days later I noticed that the same brake light was out again. I called and they happily had me come back in and at no cost for the bulbs or the labor again they replaced with a better quality bulb. So far...theyve been so helpful and efficient! Ill keep coming back!

Went in to have a state inspection done as I need to renew my plates by the end of this month and from the moment I walked in until the moment I left I felt safe. Im a lady and when you walk into some of these shops you cant help but feel like they are robbing you without a gun, but Manny at City Garage put my worries at ease. Not only did they complete my state inspection, but they checked to make sure everything was ok with my car. There are a couple of things my car needs but manny assured me we could go step by step that way I can budget myself to get everything done plus everything he gave me prices on is very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back and will tell all my friends how wonderful this shop really is! Thanks Manny and the whole team at City Garage.

I have had my CRV here several times throughout the years. I went today because I am selling it and getting a new car. Of course this would be the day that all the lights would come on and a new terrible sound would start. The guys immediately identified the problem, ordered the part- which was brought in from Dallas, and drove me home so I would not be stuck for hours while all that happened. They picked me up a few hours later and I picked up my car in great shape for the sale. I am so grateful that they handled it professionally, at a very reasonable cost, and did not try to upsell or tell me something else needed to be done. That only happens at the dealership. They were kind and efficient. I highly recommend this shop for honest effective work.

I feel like I got ripped off. I came in for struts and was quoted a price. Car was running fine besides just needing struts. I get a call back when they are done and they tell me I need an alternator or a battery and I cant pick up the car without it because it wont start. So now I have to pay for that too which I did not bring the car in for. Further more I ask for an oil change which they did but they charged me the highest oil change price which is synthetic without asking me first.. total spent over $2000 for something I came in for that I was quoted $900!!! Never again will I go here and I will make sure I tell everybody I know to stay away!!!
