In summer 2015, my 2000 mountaineer started to overheat. I added coolant and the problem persisted. When it came time for an oil change a week or two later, I took it to Firestone LE and asked them to run an AC diagnostic for the overheating as well as a routine conventional oil change. They changed the oil and said that the diagnostic showed no leaks, but that my car was a gallon low on coolant (after I had just added a fair amount). I get back in the car and the AC is blowing a little warm. By the end of the day, it is straight up blowing hot air. I come back in a week later, let them know what was happening and ask for an evac and recharge of the AC system. It works for a day or two then starts blowing hot air again. I take it to another mechanic, they run the AC diagnostic (which showed no leaks again) and give me another evac and recharge and they say its the AC compressor, which is thousands of dollars in repair costs. Mind you I am a college student. I say screw it, Ill just drive without AC for the rest of the summer because I cant afford to replace the compressor. Now, it is January 2016 and it has come time for another oil change. I tried to do it myself (because I wasnt about to get screwed over again for just a stupid oil change) but the drain plug was too tight for the tools I had. When I took it to the mechanic (not firestone) they said that the head of the drain plug was stripped and was screwed on so tight that they couldnt get it off. They said that if they tapped it out to drain the oil, that it could take the oil pan threads with it which would necessitate a new oil pan, which is about a $650 job. I try not to be accusatory, and I try to have faith that mechanics are good people trying to make a living. But I also NEVER write reviews on businesses, no matter how poor the service, so that should tell you how poorly Ive been treated. I have never been so infuriated in my life and would never ever recommend this Firestone to anyone with out a drastic change in ownership or management or technicians. Tl:dr, do not ever come here. Ever. they are scum.

The absolutely worst experience I have had getting my truck repaired. On 6/4/2014, I took it in to have it looked at for a possible bearing noise I was hearing. 30Minutes later I was slapped with a $3500 estimate. The service advisor said it in need of front bearings mostly defiantly! $550 and then went on this long list of problems I needed to fix. I was going to have the front bearings fixed until the tech said it needed the Nuts replaced at almost $50 each. I am not a certified ASE mechanic, but I have turned a few wrenches and am far from ignorant when it comes to car repairs and cost. I gave permission to do just the bearing and reuse the locking nut and the tech refused to do the job. ANYONE with business sense would do the work...I then told them to get my truck off the lift and left. I went to a friend who has worked on Ford trucks for 25+ years and explained my dilemma. He told me to bring it to his shop and he will look at it. ARE YOU READY??? NO bad bearings. control arms. upper or lower ball joints! All of which FIRESTONE LITTLE ELM declared as bad and needed replaced. The noise I was hearing were the balancing weights rubbing the break caliper!!!! Thats it!!! MY advise to all is to ALWAYS get a second opinion. No telling how many people have been scammed into spending money on things that DONT need to be fixed. In infuriates me that there are people that seem to prey on those who have little or no knowledge of repairs and the cost of. DO YOU HOMEWORK FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS...You just might be able to buy that motorcycle, boat, new deck or whatever you cannot buy because somebody decided to lie and rob you of your hard earned money so they can have a bigger paycheck.

If it were up to me, one star isnt even deserved. I walk in for an oil change and was told it was an hour and a half to two hours of a wait. No problem, I decided to schedule an appt for the following day at 11am. The next day I make sure to get ready, get my 3 yr old ready and get there right on time only to be told it could be a two hour wait. I understand there would still be some waiting on my end but TWO HOURS? I politely asked what was the point of scheduling an appt only to have the same wait as I did the following day as a walk in? The guy was so rude in his response....VERY condesending telling me "Maam we have other cars needing more than just an oil change. Its like a Drs office just because you have an appt doesnt mean we will get to you. We have 16 other cars ahead of you. If you didnt want that long of a wait you should have scheduled an appt at 7-7:30 am." Ok...someone could have mentioned that when I scheduled an appt in person the day before. I will not be back to this place. I dont like writing negative posts, I make a point to try and only write posts on great places and services. I was treated so poorly and made to feel like my time and services (I was going to pay for) were not important enough to even ask why.

Needed an inspection for my car. Chad took the requests and the check engine light was lit so it would not pass inspection I had them check the codes. Code came back for the Catalytic converter. I told them it was covered under warranty and I would have it taken care of, he came back with estimate on a bunch of different things. Including a wheel hub and all the shocks. Which was pretty hilarious considering the front shocks were replaced and had 10k miles on them. Now knowing the front shocks had gone out and the nasty potholes the wheel hub seemed legit and I had them fix it. After I had a rattling noise in the front end they insisted there was nothing wrong. Well another item they quoted was a motor mount. Took my car in for the warranty repair of the Catalytic converter and they told me someone had loosened the motor mount and that was the rattling. They fixed that at no cost while doing the warranty repair. Stay away from this facility. Chad inisted he checked the front shocks himself and they are not doing what they are supposed to. Well apparently Chad has no idea how to check shocks.

Stay away from this God awful place! Been in about 5 times and every time they tell me something is wrong when its not. I do all my repairs myself and know what needs replacing and doesnt. Only reason I go is to get an alignment and they cant even do that without trying to upsell me! I took my truck in earlier this year with everything working perfectly and by the time I left I had to buy a new battery from them... before they looked at it it always started right up and I start my truck atleast 15 times a day! A battery doesnt just completely die in an hour! I took my sisters car in today after replacing the cv axles and they refused to do an alignment because the tie rod end boot was rotted and wanted to charge me $211 to replace it... the part cost $17 and takes 15 min to replace. I picked it right up and will never go back!
