I called Affordable Moving a week before I had to move and scheduled an appointment. They were supposed to arrive at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, March 30th. I got a call at 2:12 pm, saying they were running about an hour behind schedule. I was ok with that and I understand that sometimes jobs taking longer than planned for. So, 3:00 rolls around and no movers. No phone calls, nothing. I called and the lady on the phone told me they would be there any minute. 3:48 I get a call from her and she says they will be there by 4:10. 6:30 rolls around and still no movers and no courtesy calls to let me know they were going to be later. I ended up calling another company and they came and moved me. While they were moving me, Affordable showed up about 6:45, which is 4 hours and 45 minutes late. The guys were very nice but exhausted. This would have been like the 4th time I used affordable. The last time I used them, they damaged my $2000 table and didnt fix it. I ended up just chalking it up as a loss and decided to give them another chance. NEVER AGAIN. No common courtesy, constant excuses, damaged furniture, late arrival if at all, and horrible customer service. When I booked the appointment, I asked the lady on the phone about another negative review I saw on Google and she said it was just someone wanting a refund and work for free. Yeah, I highly doubt that. I believe the persons review is VERY accurate and truthful. The woman on the phone said she would make sure that I got moved on time and I told her I would leave a positive review for them. Not gonna happen. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Youve been warned.

HORRIBLE! They were punctual to start with but it all went downhill from there. It took them 35 minutes to figure out how to get my refrigerator out of the house and onto the truck. I tried to be nice because it was hot and offered them some water just to have them leave their trash in the front yard. They took 4 hours to load what took 2 of my moms friends (who are in their 40s)to load in half that time. I was quoted 3-4 hours total and they took 6 hours and still didnt get everything! Items were left that we had to do 4 seperate trips in an SUV to get the remainder. And when we tried to contact the owner, we were accused of just wanting a service for free! Horrible ownership, 2 lazy workers and 2 additional hours at $75 per hour = WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! Oh and part of that 2 hours was spent with the workers folding blankets. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with anyone but them!

The guys that came to move me were on time and moved my things in under two hours which is great. A few days later, while unpacking I wanted to hang some pictures and photos on my wall and noticed I couldnt find my hammer. These guys stole my tool bag. I guess since I am woman, they didnt think I would have a need for nice tools or something. I called the office to report the issue and they guy Shannon said he would check with the guys that moved me. Of course, they didnt admit to stealing my tools but I know they did. I have not heard back from them as of yet. Every time I call the phone just rings. I would not recommend using this company to anyone. They are thieves and they do not try to resolve issues.......

Horrible! Please never use them! Very unprofessional, one guy complained the whole time about his pay and cursed continuously. He flirted with girls walking by while on the clock. I specifically asked if they were familiar with moving marble and I was assured they do that all the time. The broke my marble slab in half! didnt secure it at all! then wouldnt refund me for the move! They forgot their tools at my old house and made me pay for the 40n minutes it took ME to go back and get them! The list goes on and on with my experience with these people. Terrible!

Several close friends of mine have used Affordable Moving in Lubbock to move across town. I will tell everyone I know to never hire them. They were crude (swearing in front of children, talking about being high while working), unprofessional (hitting on my friend the entire time, didnt use proper equipment, took 3 hours longer than estimated) and have damaged furniture in every story I hear. Talking with the owner is useless; he just doesnt care. Why should he? Hes accountable to no one. Just spend the extra money to hire a professional, insured company.

Moving can really be an over whelming experience, as many of you may know. With that being said, I hired AFFORDABLE MOVING and the stress was lifted. The movers were very professional and courteous! They took care and concern for my valuables and went the extra mile for putting together and placing things in my new home. I would recommend this company to my family and friends, without a doubt,that they will get the pleasurable experience that I received. OUTSTANDING!

I hired this company to move from my apartment to a house. They scratched the floor in the house while dragging the furniture, scratched the entire top of my very expensive antique desk, the front of my washer, the top of my dryer, ripped a couch cushion, and scratched several door jams while moving the furniture into the bedrooms. When I complained, they gave me a whopping $40 in compensation. Spend the extra $20 or so and hire a legitimate company.

With a snow storm coming we were able to book Affordable Moving for the day after Christmas. They arrived on time at 8:30 and the 3 guys went to work. They have evidently have worked together a lot. They did not have to talk or discuss anything they just moved everything that needed to be moved. In 2.5 hours they had the truck loaded and unloaded across town. They were wonderful. Josh, CJ and Jason were everything you could ask for.

Called this company because a friend recommended them. They gave me a reasonable price and set up a time that worked for me. The two guys were on time and were very professional. They moved everything quickly and carefully and even put my boxes in the rooms that they were labeled for instead of just all in one room. That really helped. Cannon and Jeret are awesome! Definitely recommend this company.

These guys dropped our side-by-side refrigerator down a hill. They were moving it without an appliance dolly. We hired them to help load a truck I was going to drive across country. I offered them an appliance dolley from my truck, but they shrugged it off. Next thing I know, there goes the fridge. AND, get this, the owner reimbursed us under $300 for a brand-new $1500 fridge.

Steve and Shannon are awesome. They were great in helping us. We accomplished the task easy and fast! Affordable Moving is great to work with. They are affordable, but more than that, they are helpful, friendly and strong. I consider them all my friends and will eagerly call them again. I will also refer my family and friends to Affordable Moving!
