Let this be your warning: Two years ago we had taken a truck that belonged to my father-in-law to this location for some major brake work. They did an acceptable job, so we decided to try them again when my brother-in-laws brakes on his 1997 Chevy went out. They did an OK job with the brakes, but also told him his rear differential pinion seal needed to be replaced. He OKed the work. Several days later, he is driving in Ft. Worth when he realizes the horrible noise he is hearing is coming from his rear differential, and it appears to have leaked out all of its fluid from the pinion seal. The truck is stranded. When I finally get over to Ft. Worth with tools to help him, we CANNOT get the rear differential fill plug out. I used liquid wrench, a breaker bar, and finally drained a battery using a hammer drill with a 3/8" impact adapter to try and get the fill plug out, and it wouldnt budge. This leads me to two possible conclusions: either they didnt properly install the new pinion seal AND they didnt even bother filling the rear differential with oil because the plug was so badly rusted on there (but charged us for it anyway), OR they didnt properly install the new seal AND some idiot used an impact wrench to install the fill plug, which is only supposed to be torqued to 25-35 ft-lbs depending on the truck. This is completely unacceptable workmanship, and has cost us a lot of time and headache, and the truck isnt even fixed yet. DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING STRANDED SOMEPLACE.

Just Brakes offers a special front and back brake service for $99 as well as a free visual inspection. After dropping off our Ford sedan, we were called back with a revised estimate of about $750. The service writer said we needed all sorts of things, basically amounting to a whole new brake system, front and back. When pressed to keep the service to only what was absolutely required for safe driving, only $150 was knocked off the cost, along with a warning of impending danger. We picked up our car and took it to the Ford Dealership across the highway and ended up paying 1/3 what Just Brakes wanted. The dealership performed an inspection and then just standard brake services front and back. These services cost more than the special Just Brakes price, but at least we werent robbed blindly and factory parts were used. Oh, and on a part for part comparison, Just Brakes simply costs more. For instance, new rotors (which Ford said werent required even though JB said they were) are $80 each at the dealership, but closer to $95 each at JB. If you want to service your car at JB, you may want to get a second opinion before throwing your money away.

Purchased Groupon for Just Brakes for 3 oil changes. I had decent experiences in the past so I was hopeful that my commitment to having them do my next 3 oil changes wouldnt be an issue. I arrived early (around 8:30 am) on a Saturday morning. There was one car occupying one of five bays but the attendant told me it would take at least a few hours to complete on oil change on my car. There were no other customers around. He was cranky and unprofessional and seemed mad that I was going to make him work on a Saturday. While I was there two other customers walked in and ended up walking out because he gave them unreasonable time frames for service that should have been completed in little time. I ended up leaving my car and had to arrange a ride home and ride back later that afternoon. Other oil changes places specializing in quick service (as opposed to brakes and other things) seem to have a better system. I still have several unused vouchers but I am hoping for a better service experience next time.

What a rip off! Well let me start by saying that I did get robbed. I was unfortunate and ran across these reviews after they have started the work. In the review titled "Just Brakes is Just Broken!" the same estimate numbers were used on me. I could not believe it. Was it a coincident? I think not. Anyways, I just want us hard working consumers to beware of all this and get something out from my mistake. After reading the reviews, I called a dealership and asked for a quote on the parts that they said needed to replace. From giving the service guys the parts list, he asked if I was getting service done at Just Brakes? Wow, does this service guy have ESP? NOPE! Just Brakes has always been using these parts to rip off us consumers. So the service guy from the dealership knew right away. I called to try and stop my service but no luck. Long story short. It would have been better for me to drive 40 minutes and got it done at the dealership. So I HOPE THIS WILL HELP others getting their brakes done here.

What a joke this place is. No clients, so I thought I would be able to get in and out fairly quickly. I went in and told them exactly what I wanted. I needed brake pads on the front and I needed the rotors turned on the front and that was it. They insisted on doing a inspection which took over an hour to tell me the same thing that I already knew. They told me I needed brake pads on the front and then try to sell me brake pads on the back even though I did not need them. As a matter fact, the guy even told me that you dont need pads on the back right now but sooner or later I was going to need them. I told them once again all I needed were brake pads on the front and rotors turned he said OK it would take probably another hour because he had to order brake pads for a 2010 Ford F1 50, the most common truck on the road. At this point I told him to put the tires back on and I would take my business somewhere else. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

My wife went to get the brake pads changed on her car and an oil change. They were advertising $99 per axle. When she got there, they told her a bunch of other things needed to be done and came out to $422. They said it was things that were unsafe to drive on. My wife sent a picture to both myself and her father who used to be a mechanic. We both agreed the rotors needed changed but werent unsafe. The man who works here refused to let us get the service done that we were asking without the rotors. They ended up putting the car back together with no work or replacements done to my breaks after they were told to go ahead and replace the parts. They did change the oil, but when they were done, they turned on the car and oil flew out of the car all over the floor because they hadnt installed something correctly. Bad salesmen, bad technicians. I will not be going back and I will tell everyone who asks about our experience.

The poor reviews on this business seem unwarranted to me. Staff at the front desk (Cliff) was very friendly, knowledgable, and willing to explain what needed to be done and why. Didnt try to up-sell unnecessary parts or services. Brake/rotor/hardware replacement was complete in under 3 hours, and the price was very reasonable. These people who say they had to pay 400-700 dollars must have needed service LONG before they brought their vehicle in, because my costs were only about 250, and thats with repairs beyond the normal brakes/rotors required (and confirmed by the Honda dealership). Just Brakes was good to me and I would recommend them to anyone else who needed brake service.
