I have brought my car to Christian brothers a couple times to do some work and have had a great experience with friendly staff, but recently I was disappointed with the service I received. A month ago, my car was having starting problems so I brought in my vehicle to have the battery checked and I ended up getting a battery replacement. Everything was fine after the battery was replaced and the car was running smoothly till last Friday. The vehicle was having starting problems again so I brought my car back to Christian brothers whereby they recommended replacing the alternator. I went ahead with the recommendation as I trusted their service and found that after the service was complete, the car was still having starting problems! I had to jump-start the car multiple times over the weekend just to go anywhere. I then decided to take the car to Autozone to have the battery checked and they found that the battery was charging, but their test indicated an error that the battery was bad. Now I am concerned because Christian brothers should have tested the battery on Friday when they gave the car back to me and known that the battery was bad. How could a battery go bad in one month? Was the alternator bad after all? Now I feel that I was given a faulty battery a month ago to begin with which makes me suspect if I had the alternator replaced for no reason ($500 out of my pocket). I am disappointed because I felt I could trust Christian brothers, but I do not think I can send my vehicles to them anymore.

I heard about Christian Brothers Automotive from my boss. Hes had a long standing relationship with them, and Steve, the gentleman that usually is waiting for you behind the counter with a smile. So with his recommendation I took my Camaro SS, which by the way comes second only to my baby girl!! Steve was great! He introduced me to one of the mechanics named Les I believe, and Les took it from there. He was not only nice, but very knowledgeable, and articulate. As is everybody that Ive met there. The whole staff is great. Anyways he took the time to show me on the computer screen what my car was doing while he was diagnosing the problem. He nailed it. One o2 sensor later, and I was out of there with no engine light on, and a smile on my face!! Since that first encounter Ive been back several times. Like I said previously, the whole staff are great to work with, and they know what theyre doing. Steve is an amazing guy. Always smiling, in a good mood, and hell even give you a coke if you ask for one!!! :-) I would, and have recommended friends and family to go there. Its hard to find honest, knowledgeable, people that are not only easy to deal with, but go out of their way to make you a happy customer. And in case youre wondering NO I DONT WORK THERE!! lol... Im just a very happy to have found a place, and people that I can trust, and depend on. And they make my car happy too!! Im one very pleased customer, and will be for years to come.

I called the shop early this morning on a Monday. I spoke to Paul Martinez, the Store Manager. I explained that I had a minor problem with a headlight being way out of alignment and I needed it adjusted. He told me it should be a minor repair and if there was very little they had to do, there would probably be no charge. I asked him about the wait time and he told me they were short-staffed, but to bring it in sooner than later. When I got to the shop about 30 minutes later, I was greeted promptly and Paul remembered our conversation. They werent sure how long the repair might take and offered me a ride back home. I told them I would wait to see what the prognosis was before leaving. Within about 15 minutes, they had the car in the shop, the problem diagnosed, and repaired; the headlight bulb was initially installed upside down (by another mechanic). Paul told me there would be no charge. Wow! Ive been in the market for a mechanic/automotive repair shop other than taking it back to the manufacturer and paying big bucks. Ive found my shop! Great customer service, very nice customer waiting area (very neat and clean), and quick repair. Very well done!

ive always done my own work, so i was kinda scared about taking my car somewhere as ive always heard wonderful horror stories about shops. i had to have a starter replaced and i couldnt get 2 of the 3 bolts out so i took it here. turns out the starter i provided the first time was faulty, and the second one was the incorrect model. so the first one was put on, taking off, tested, returned, i provided another, returned for proper one (and did my core charge for me), and installed. finally worked. and they didnt charge me anything extra. only charged me for the first starter install. will absolutely be returning. super friendly staff, one of the cleanest shops ever, and no doubt they knew what they were doing. some how tho, i still ended up with a old starter. ive also had family go here before for very extensive repairs (entire motor had to be pulled to replace some cats, another car with a nonstop cooling issue) and they always have good words too. and seriously any bad ratings on here are people who dont understand basic maintenance and car behavior.

They are honest. They ran a diagnostic on my car that was leaking radiator fluid. They delineated in clear cut fashion everything that needed to be fixed for the immediate functioning and safety of the car and driver (the year of my car is 1999). They also pointed out what was not yet immediately necessary to fix, but was recommended according to the manufacturer/car manual, given the projected lifespan of certain parts of the vehicle. I could tell the mechanic and the person who wrote the estimate worked hard. One of their workers called me to explain everything that was going on in my car, and sent me a copy of the estimate to my email. I appreciated their time and energy, willingness to be thorough, and to be an open book. Even if I decide to trash the car because of what its worth, instead of getting it fixed, I appreciate their service.

I had taken my 2002 Infiniti to Sewell and asked them to inspect it from stem to stern and to get it into mechanical perfection. Perfection coast me a week and a half and $4K. But, it was not so perfect. Two weeks later, the Check Engine light came on. I took it back to Sewell and was told that -- oops! - they missed something and I needed another $2K worth of work! I was so upset! I did not have the work done and I didnt drive the car for some time. Finally, I took it to Christian Brothers in Murphy. I didnt tell them what to look for. They looked it over and gave me a detailed "diagnosis" of the same things Sewell had noted, in addition to future work that I would need on my brakes. CBA charged me only $800. I only wish that I had taken it to them originally.Im sure I would have saved a few thousand!
