****The owner and I spoke, and he handled this very professionally. Id now consider coming back to this shop when I need something done. I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Wylie Meineke. They were offering a free A/C check, so I left my 2006 Scion xA with them. My car squeals when I am stopped and turn on the A/C. The noise is not there when I am moving. I get a call from the front desk worker who said my car was squeaking because I was low on freon. I was skeptical because most people told me it was my alternator belt, but the worker assured me "well take care of you. The A/C recharge will stop the squeaking." He also told me that up to one pound of freon is free, and my car wouldnt need more than that. I get my car back and the technician tells me they did the A/C recharge successfully, and very casually and quickly mentions that my alternator belt was loose and the mechanic tightened it for free. But the $25 extra charge for freon was unexpected and should have been discussed with me before they did it. I go home and the very next morning, the squeaking is back. I leave my car with the same Meineke, and I get a call saying they couldnt duplicate the problem. I get the car back AND HEAR MORE SQUEAKING. I took videos so that I have documented proof that I was lied to. I have since spoken to two other repair centers and both told me "it sounds like they saw the alternator belt was loose, tightened it up, and charged you for a more expensive service." The cherry on top is that the paperwork left by the mechanic said "Could not duplicate problem. If squeaking persists, replace alternator belt." Thats a huge slap in the face, considering they told me that the A/C recharge would fix my issue, and that it was NOT my alternator belt. So now Im out $100 for a service I didnt need, with the same problem that I went in to have fixed. If someone could e-mail me back, Id be happy to explain this more thoroughly so that I can be reimbursed, or get a credit so I can go to a different Meineke to have my alternator belt replaced. I no longer trust the Wylie location.

I MADE 5 TRIPS TO THIS LOCATION FOR THE SAME ISSUE MY 2013 ACCORD HAD WITH THE ALIGNMENT. STILL DIDNT FIX IT. I had the worse experience at this location of Meineke. Please do yourself a favor and dont go to this location for anything. They told me to replace parts which werent faulty. Ive been going there for 2 years for oil change and other maintenance because its closest to my house. But theyll do whatever they can to rip you off. They made me replace my new tires which werent faulty at all. I had to pay for the tires which were in best shape just 8 months old. And the issue still didnt resolved.They just couldnt figure out what was wrong with the alignment. Keep sending me back and asked me to wait for the technician Joe. When he came back he gave me a new repair cost of around $350. It was super frustrating. GUYS if you think your time and money is valuable which Im sure you do then JUST DONT GO THERE!!

So, my girlfriends car broke down. We didnt know it at the time, but the thermostat housing had cracked and dumped all the coolant on the ground. We had it towed to Meineke at around 9pm and just happened to bump into Ronnie. He was kind enough to open the shop, take down our details and grab the keys. They looked at it first thing the next day, called to let us know what had happened and by 4pm it was fixed. Amazing turn around time, very knowledgeable and very friendly. 10/10 would go again.

I needed to get my breaks done so i brought a coupon from meineke and they told me they wont accept it. They said it was going to cost $1,300 to get it done. I told them no thanks and Ill go elsewhere but they damn near held my car hostage and told me to push my car to the Aldi parking lot and drive off. Worst experience I ever had. 1 star does no justice. I went to my normal mechanic and saved me $900. Would not recommend, even if you broke down in front of the business. Tow it somewhere else.

PLEASE READ; THIS WILL SAVE YOU $$ The gave me a quote of over $250 to fix a loose heat shield, saying they had to remove the entire exhaust to get to the shield. They did not know that I am a mechanical engineer. A soon as I realize their BS, I asked for my keys back and I took it to another location (Tripple A mufflers in Garland) and Tripple A mufflers fixed it for $20. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP WITHOUT GETTING A SECOND OPINION!!

I had my oil changed there and while I was waiting I could just tell that Ronnie runs an honest shop by what the customers were saying. I know that this is not just a chain that upsell you on parts and services. The lead mechanic Joel rebuilt the headlights on my C4 Corvette and did an outstanding job. I would recommend Meineke in Wylie to my friends.

Took our car in because the rear brakes were making a grinding noise. They could have sold us brakes because we thought they were needed. They called in about an hour explaining that the brakes were fine and because it was a European car, it was normal. Thats honesty. We will be back for other services.

Great shop! Awesome people, that dont up sell you and let you know exactly what needs to be done and what they look at. With what doesnt need maintenance, they let you know that youre good to go. No gimmick to get you to spend unnecessary money. Will keep coming here!

I have had nothing but the worst experience at this location. I will NEVER go back there or refer anyone i know. They are very tacky, wack or worse bunch of idiots who have no idea what their jobs descriptions are. Just interested in ripping you off. Lessons learned
