Pro: Staff is friendly. Con: LOTS. I used to have a 4*, but after what Ive learned from a different mechanic if I could give a 0 I would. Our two cars have been to Christian Brothers Automotive now, and both have come away with serious issues. My Honda Accord had a broken AC and power steering issues. They attempted to repair the power steering twice and said it was too hard to get a good part to repair it correctly. The AC was quoted at $2,000 to find and fix. A different mechanic has found the power steering pump installed incorrectly in my car, and fixed the broken AC less than 1/5th the CB quoted amount. My wifes Kia Spectra went in for new belts. The evening she drove them off the lot they started squealing. Took the car back to CB and they "adjusted" the belts saying it was hard to get it just right. Belts are squealing like crazy again and the car shakes. I dont think it should take a good mechanic a couple times to "get it right" and I sure as wonder dont like hearing a lack of confidence in their parts. I definitely recommend considering a different mechanic.

My car was towed here by AAA because it failed to start. The tow truck driver said it was the starter. The car was left for the day with this auto repair shop. They called and said that they tested the starter and it passed. They said the problem was bad connecting cables so they replaced those. They charged me 48.20 for testing the starter, battery, etc and another 48.20 for replacing the cables. After getting the car home and trying to leave the house the car failed to start again. I ended up taking it to Pep boys where I was told the starter was bad. I had this replaced. I called Christian Brothers and explained what happened. I asked that the 48.20 for the testing be refunded. They refused. As a Christian myself, I am offended that they use faith to promote their business when they do not reflect the values of honesty and standing by your mistakes. I would not recommend them to anyone. You can get just as good of service and prices elsewhere.

First off, Im one of those people that will fix my car(s) myself, and prefer to do so because, 1. if I do the work and something goes wrong I have only myself to blame & 2. I wont leave any new scratches in my cars paint job, or leave a stain inside the car after servicing it. Which is what Ive found to happen at more than one place that I have taken my car to (including the dealer). I have been to this location a few times, and have had them "check" my car for a problem that it has had. On more than one occasion it had turned out to be nothing, or not what I had thought it was. Now if you want to take your vehicle to a place that will fix it right, then go to Christian Bros. If you want to go to a place that is going to be cheap, and just patch the problem, then dont. They are very fair, honest, and it is where I will continue to take my car(s) from now own.

Last week I was replacing my brakes and a wheel stud broke. I tried to fix it, but I could not get the wheel hub off to get behind it. It was getting late and I had no way of getting to work the next day. I had the car towed to this location the night before only because it was the closest and I could walk there to pick up the car. Wanting to get it done soon as possible, I was there at 7am when they opened and gave them the parts I was trying to replace. The guy at the counter said "a couple of hours probably". An hour and half later they were done and I made it into work before 9:15am. 100 bucks in labor...I gladly paid, given the speed and quality of work for a first time customer on very short notice. Thanks guys!

Really? So my check engine light comes on and I stop in to get a diagnosis and am told I need a new accelerator pedal for $119.74 plus labor to install $272.50 and another $109.00 to update my module for a total of $516.53. More than I really wanted to spend so I went to Reliable Chevrolet to what they would say. Long story short they confirmed that I needed pedal but not the update and service writer showed me two bolts and a plug in needed to replace the pedal. Took me exactly five minutes to do. They also gave me 10% off the $109.00. I am always amazed when I need auto repair. PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF AND SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!

They were friendly, quick and didnt charge me a thing. I called in this morning because the light over my license plate wasnt working. I asked him how much they would charge to fix it. The man I spoke to said that it would be free if they just had to replace the bulb. I assumed he meant they would only charge me for the bulb and not labor. When I came in, the problem took a little longer to diagnose. The bulbs were fine, but a wire was broken. They fixed or replaced it (I dont know), and didnt charge me at all. I plan to go back for my inspection, oil changes and anything else I need.

2nd bad experience at this very location. First I took my bmw about a year or so ago, long story. This past month I took my Toyota Tacoma and again they failed to do a good job. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY! I figured since they have an excellent customer service they would know how to work on cars, but they have proved me wrong twice. Never setting a foot at least at this location ever again. Very nice people, but they overcharge, and their work is very poor. I highly DO NOT recommend this place.

Our vehicle completely shut down while out of state on a business trip. Our vehicle had to be towed to Christian Brothers for servicing. We also had to request that a duplicate invoice be faxed to us today. Steve at this location had it to us within minutes. It is always stressful when you are on the road and have car trouble. Their service and communication with us was beyond reproach. I highly recommend this location for any of your service needs.

Christian Brothers does a honest job. I feel safe letting them open up my car and do the right repairs, thoroughly. Some other auto shops in the Dallas area have done quick repairs and made careless mistakes. These mistakes caused some extra damage to my car. So I choose Christian Brothers for their honesty.

Their ridiculous charges start as soon as you hand over the keys. I got charged $800 for replacing two air hoses. All labor, because they threw the hoses in for "free". Wouldve probably spent less at the BMW Dealership. But theyre real nice people and the atmosphere is great.
