People you NEED to know that this place is the typical garage that scams you without you knowing, they exaggerate in "needed" repairs as to coerce you to have them do the repairs at their RIDICULOUS PRICES! How do I know you may ask? I pretended to not know a thing in regards to autos and took my car in for a check because i had an accident with one of their big commercial accounts, that company I had the accident with were nice about it and offered to take care of the issues but when their "techs" stated that the damages that the vehicle had were because of me and not the accident, what can that company do? We took care of the issue thru another auto shop, non-tied to either of us and they clearly stated that the damages were due to impact. So goes to show how far this group will go to "protect" big accounts. Also Ill let you know, I was once an Auto Tech with a couple of ASE cert., but moved on to get my MBA so I do know what I am talking about. If you would prefer an honest job without the scamming your bank account call Davis Automotive they are just down the street on Greenville Ave., these folks have been open more than 50 years, that alone tells you something.

Mr Qualls, my review stands. The 30 point inspection was most definitely not "explained" to me when I handed my car over for an oil change. In fact, I thought it abnormal how long the quoted ETA on an oil change - 45 minutes? - would be when asked. The 30 point inspection was NEVER mentioned. I would have refused it if was. And, if youre doing a 30 point inspection + an oil change, doesnt that leave like basically a ~minute per "point"? How thorough is that if youre so concerned with your customers safety? Be honest, youre up-selling, doing a rather shoddy "inspection", and seeking to maximize your profit on what would otherwise be a brief visit. Youre full of it. And are you in the habit of phoning your customers who leave negative reviews without prior permission? I dont want to talk to you. I dont want to do business with you again. Where were you the day I did business with you waiting far too long in your hospital-white waiting room with awful country music coming from the garage and your staff that was pouring over my car without my permission in an attempt to exploit money from me? Nowhere. You, Mr. Qualls, were nowhere.

Really surprised by the positive reviews. Bringing your vehicle here for an oil change is basically an opportunity for them to try and up-sell you on their other services. When they brought back their "notes" on my car I then realized why the oil change had taken so long: they were rooting around everywhere else to find any manner of issues to present as in need of repair. And what do they offer while youre waiting for their "notes"? A spartan waiting room with no TV (save for the one that advertises their other services) or music (save for the awful country coming from that garage --- but if you like that, youre in luck) and the experience of overhearing the receptionist call people who were lucky enough to drop off their car that its ready for pick-up.

Update: I just went to look under the hood and discovered my oil cap sitting on top of the engine! That is the 2nd part i have found that they left riding on top of my engine. Unreal! Original:This place was conveniently located so I stopped by.They accurately diagnosed the problem, for $100 bucks of course. The problem was nothing more than a sensor that sits right on top of the engine. They wanted an additional $300 to replace it. I went to Autozone and got the part for $75 and changed it in less than five minutes. Hmm.. $225 dollars for five minutes of work, that is equivalent to a salary of over $5 million a year. These car repair guys are down right dishonest. I asked them how mich was the part and they told me $208! Autozone is next door to them.

The guys here are fantastic! They will do anything to make sure you feel safe driving your car again and only tell you whats wrong instead of just trying to find things wrong to make extra money. They even took the time to try to find out where a weird noise was coming from and did everything they could to identify it, but when they couldnt without a doubt find what it was, they told me to come back if it gets worse so they can fix it. And they didnt charge me for their time even when I offered! And...its fixed! Whatever they did (maybe just removing the brakes and putting them back on) fixed the noise and I havent had any problems. So thank you so much! I will definitely be coming here and only here for all of my car needs!

If I could give a lower rating for this place I would one star is too gracious I took my car in for a simple inspection they try to charge me $3,500 to get my exhaust fixed and demanded I get new tires I took my car around the corner to somebody who I know and he passed my car with absolutely no issues at all and he said everything was running smoothly do not take your car here ever to get an inspected or any work done it all these people are Crooks they attempted to do work on my car without any permission I would never ever ever ever ever go back to this place if it was the only car shop in Dallas

Always satisfied when I walk out of here. From simple oil changes and tire patches to state renewals and more they just fix my car. They dont up-sell, or try to scare me into spending more money, they...just..fix..my..car. They have AAA discounts, and they always find a way to knock a few bucks off so I appreciate that too. I like that they consistently under promise and over deliver. For example just came in this morning for a tire patch, and decided to get an inspection too. They told me up front "were a little busy, lookin at 1-1/2 hours." I was in and out in 45 minutes. A+ guys.

I love a company that treats its customers with respect. I heard them tell 3 different customers that what they were asking for was costly and unnecessary. Instead, they gave them cheaper and more appropriate options for their individual needs. One woman was wanting an alignment to fix a "knocking noise," and the gentleman behind the counter told her, "I can do it, but thats not going to stop the knocking noise. Here is why." and explained the entire situations. THATS SERVICE!

Lost a belt Friday afternoon on the drive home. Tow truck got me to this location 5 minutes before they were supposed to close. I was expecting I would have to leave my truck overnight and have to deal with getting a ride home and then back the next day. But the manager and one of the techs said it was an easy fix, and stayed 30 minutes after close to get my truck running again. They were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for me by staying after hours. Great!

I decided to go here because it was close to me. Robert helped me both on the phone and in person. Hes very polite and helps break things down while he explains things so you understand. I had an oil change and inspection. They discovered one of my tires was almost out of tread which meant I was failed, but I was told if I came back within 15 days the re-test would be free. Im getting my tire fixed and going back. I plan on going to City Garage for future vehicle needs.
