Some of the worst service I have ever encountered. Brought my car in for an estimate to repair the front bumper. Was told by my service advisor Jeremy that if I paid up front they could order the parts and when they came in the repair would only take 1 day. So thats what I did. Was told it would take about 3 days to get parts and he would call when they came in. Well, almost 2 weeks later I call to find out what is going on and he says " oh, the parts are here" and then transfers me to a call center to make an appt. I wait 20 minutes on hold only to find out since I prepaid, I need to make an appt with my service advisor. Very frustrating. I finally bring my car in about 8am, Jeremy never even comes out to talk to me. I give the keys to the girl at the front desk. I wait all day to hear something, but nothing. I call at 5pm to check on it, only to find out Jeremy is gone for the day. One of the other service advisors checks on it and finds out the wrong parts are ordered so they could not fix it. Thanks for calling and letting me know. The next day I get a call saying that the correct parts to fix my car are going to cost $1500, instead of the $550 that was quoted. So because the service advisor doesnt know how to do his job, I should now have to pay an extra $1000. Even the assistant manager agreed that he should have been able to order the right parts and give a better quote just by looking at it. The worst thing is that with the comedy of errors service king made, the best remedy they had was give me the bumper at cost and insurance labor rates or get my money back. I took my money back and even that was a nightmare. For some reason they cant refund the money to my credit card (its our policy), they want me to drive back up there to pick up a check. Rediculous! Take your business elsewhere. Service King doesnt deserve it.

I had body work to be done and Service King said it would take 4 to 5 days to complete. My car is set up specially for my business so that was going to be difficult, but there wasnt an alternative. So I figured out the best I could do to manage an was hoping the 5 days would be shorter. THE DAY I LEFT MY CAR I got a text from Service King (SK) that my car would be ready in 8 business days instead of 4 or 5, so 60% longer that I was promised. That was going to be a real problem! And since they sent the text the same day I left my car after them telling me 4 to 5 days, that seemed like a bait and switch, after I couldnt do anything about it. That meant I had to figure out something else to get me thru 8 days without my work car, which caused a lot of stress and lost time. Then 2 days after I left my car, the service writer calls and says my car is ready and can I come get it right now. So these "helpful" texts about the status of my car were all incorrect and didnt nothing but cause me to lose stomach lining. He was very insistent that I drop everything I was doing and come pick up my car, which I thought was incredibly pushy. This was on a Friday and he wanted me to come at least by 6pm. Well, we had dinner plans so that wouldnt work. Then he said, "We are open tomorrow, Saturday. So how about then?" I said ok and I show up Sat afternoon to pick it up and the shop is closed!! He neglected to tell me they were open till noon Sat. Anyway, the work was ok so if you dont mind going to a place where you cannot rely on anything they say, then be my guest. I would recommend an independent shop. I think you have a much better chance of some decent level of customer service than one of the big guys. Sorry this was so long.

Since I have to select at least one star in order to post a review, I am forced to give them one star. Otherwise, Id choose none. Here is why. I got into an accident, my passenger door is smashed and cannot be opened. I am given a choice of places by my insurance to take my car. Service King is right across the street. My insurance calls over to them to tell them Im on my way and to give me a rental. I take my car over, go inside and ask for the representative that handles my insurance. He comes out, asks if my car is drive-able, I say I drove it there. He then tells me he cant look at my car until Monday and thus he cant authorize a rental because my car is drive-able. This is without even stepping outside to look at my car. I tell him I cant open my door, so if for some reason I am hit on the other side of my car and cant open my other door, I would be trapped. I call my insurance back and they said "did you speak with John?" I said that yes, that is who I talked to. They wanted to call him back and clear it up. I said not a chance. I would not be taking my car to people who treated me that way. On top of the fact that, John was completely unfriendly, and I will never go back there or recommend this particular Service King to anyone. Maybe it was because it was Friday and he didnt feel like doing any more work that day. I gave my business, and my insurance gave $15K, to someone else. Thanks Service King.

I typically dont review vendors, but I had to speak up on this one. Had relatively minor damage to a bumper and tailgate on my truck, but the tailgate would no longer open without further damaging the metal. The staff was friendly, but the work and service was poor. When I picked up the truck, I naturally tested the tailgate and found that they had repaired one hinge but not the other. In other words, they didnt complete the repair. After having them take another day to clear it with insurance, they order the replacement part....the wrong part. We only found out it was wrong after bringing the truck to them. So they reordered the part. We havent heard back from them since, although weve seen the data from our insurance showing that theyve been paid for the work.

The Service King of McKinney did a good job of repairing the damage to my vehicle from a collision my wife had, but they failed to keep my vehicle secure and the contents of the vehicle are now missing. So they let a theft happen from my vehicle and I now I have to file a police report. They need to keep the contents of every customer’s vehicle secure so that others do not experience loss of items. So I would not recommend anyone to take their vehicle to the McKinney Service King store. The repairs were good, but because they can not keep vehicles secure they have failed at customer service. So deal with them at your own risk, or make sure you clean out everything from inside your vehicle before they begin repairing it even your loose change.
