I can not say enough good things about the The Body Shop in McKinney, Texas. When you live in a community for a number of years, you get a feel for the local businesses that you can trust. An auto accident is a very stressful thing to deal with, what with dealing with insurance and the getting your car repaired and having to get a rental. However, when its neccessary to make that trip to a autobody repair shop, The Body Shop in McKinney has streamlined the process to make it effortless, and make the process of getting your car repaired a downright pleasant experience. I recenty bumped the front end of my truck up, and had to make a trip to The Body Shop. I had called my insurance carrier the night before to start my claim, and when they asked where I would like to go to get my repairs done, I asked for The Body Shop. I had planned on calling them the next morning to schedule an appointment, but was pleasantly surprised early that morning when they called me to set up my visit! They had availability that morning to take in my vehicle, so I went right in. When I arrived, the process of getting checked in was seamless. Vernon Mathews greeted me and gave my vehicle a thorough visual inspection. He then asked for my insurance claim information, which I had. He then explained exactly what needed to be done to get the truck taken apart, how he would communicate with the insurance company and me, and his estimated timeline to completion. When we finished up, he scorted me to the Enterprise Rent a Car on site, and they were able to supply me with a very comparable rental vehicle in no time. Total time of dropoff: Less than 30 minutes. I received periodic updates from Vernon on the progress of my vehicle in the shop, but I was having fun watching the photo progress of my vehicle on their website as well. I knew what was going on with my vehicle, almost on an hour-to-hour basis. And if all that wasnt enough, I received the phone call that my vehicle was ready, three days before he promised. The quality of work? Second to none. It is obvious that their staff takes pride in their work, and goes the extra mile to make sure that everything is just right. My truck was detailed top to bottom when I arrived, and I have yet to find a hint of any kind of paint overspray or a piece of trim out of alignment. Even under the hood everything looks factory fresh. Their certified paint and body technicians are certainly the best in the business. John and Terri Rattan have worked hard to create a business that can consistently be this outstanding, and it makes me proud to live in the same community that this business and othes like it operate in. As an independent business owner myself, I realize the importance of "better than good" service to customers. I believe the Rattans and The Body Shop have taken that belief to heart, and have challenged themselves and the members of their staff to raise the bar.

The worse experience I have ever had. This shop is good but the people that work here are the worse people I have ever seen. 2 weeks ago I was send to meet Mike Wiss for an accident estimate took my info and pickture of my ban and told me he was going to email it to me week and a half later I was send to see Corey and to find out the Mike was there but he never wrote my estimate so Corey took pictures and wrote the estimate and told me that it will take them 4 day to get it done and that they were too busy at the shop and that I have to wait 2 months before they could took my car for repair well when he gave me the paper he ask me to take it to the front desk and make an appointment. The appointment was to drop off the car a month later. Whish I did and I call on the 4th day to see if my car was ready and to find out with Corey that he had told us that was going to take 1 to 2 week for the car to be ready he also said that he have never told us it was 4 days. We when he called me to let me know my car was ready I stop by phone to pick it up and while I check on the repair me and my husband notice that there were bubble on the plastic that they had add to the bumper so the pain on it will look Brite and rinker on it as well they send it back to the other shop were they send it the first time to finish the paint on it. Corey also said he was not happy with the kind of job they had made and apologize for it and he said I send it back to get it fixed he was disappointed . 2 day later Corey call and said the ban was ready to be picked up and that he had check it. Drove to pick it up they make even worse job on it. Corey send it back those time they have scratch the bumper, dent, and when they took off the plastic off the paint came off two and they didnt notice or wish no to see but here we go againg back to the shop will see how long it takes to get it fixed or worse. All Corey had to do was making sure was done from the beginning whish he didnt do now he said he dont know what the other shop is doing and he is blame it on the so I know it was not for free but for $ 3,000 the least expect you can get it a good job on the repair on your car dont you. Unfortunately there are shop that all they want it $ and not properly fixed the cars. And honestly I dont recommend this shop to any one I do recommend to check your car once you go pick it up to see what crappie or good job they have done on it.

We chose the body shop because the insurance company listed it as an approved repair shop, and because the reviews on here seemed ok. So, after a minor accident, we dropped off our car for repair. When I dropped it off, the rear drivers door needed to be replaced and there was a little other body work needed, but the car was driveable and the door was functional so the damage wasnt too extensive. Even so, the repair took a FULL MONTH to complete. The explanation for the delay was that they received the wrong door from their supplier 3 or 4 times. This is ridiculous and (to me) raises some concerns about their parts supply source. Ultimately this delay cost me $$$ because the insurance company only covered the minimum daily amount for a rental car (uninsured motorist claim) and we had to pay the difference. On top of that, communications were sorely lacking throughout the process. The receptionist was rarely receptive on the phone or in person, emails submitted through the website were never answered, and the only status updates I received were because I either called or showed up in person to find out what was happening. Their website displays a generic status of the repair (which I originally thought would be a nice feature), but that apparently isnt always updated regularly because the day they completed it my car was still listed as "in body shop" (as it had been for a week) even though the car had completed that step, along with 3 steps after it, without any updates to the website. All in all, when (finally) finished, the car looks good inside an out with acceptable workmanship quality, but the awful communications combined with the excessive repair time and concern about their supply base would cause me to choose someone else next time.
