United Stupid Postal Service! Updated tracking info today saying out for delivery at 10:27am and it was never delivered!!! then, the following morning I checked it and saw an update saying that there was an attempt to deliver at 7:59pm and that they couldnt access. This is a straight up lie because the leasing agents at the property spoke with the person that delivered that day and never received anything with my name on it but for other people. I then called 26 times and finely someone answered here and they said the driver had a lot of packages and had to go back and they came back and the leasing center was closed, but with the little effort it takes to look at the door there was a dial pad the couldve entered the number on the APT. and it wouldve called me except they just are lazy pieces of s*** and decided to just never deliver it and I honestly think they didnt try because i checked it all night till about 10:30 pm and it said it was out for delivery still. SO F*** YOU USPS and YOUR MCDONALDS EMPLOYEES!!!!! YALL SUCK and I HOPE UPS AND FED-EX FORCE USPS TO SHUT DOWN and YOU ARE WITHOUT JOBS FOR EVER AND CANT PROVIDE FOR YOUR FAMILY!!!! This is hands down the worst postal office I have ever seen. Ive lived all over the country, but no matter where Ive lived the mail has consistently arrived within a half hour window every single day. With this branch, however, it is a three hour window when the driver even decides to show up. Yes, the driver has straight up skipped our entire street before. Oh, and on multiple occasions Ive witnessed the driver walk up to a house with a package, place the "we missed you" note, and keep on walking. He purposefully chose for the package not to be delivered that day. I am not exaggerating when I say one in four of my pieces of mail get delivered to the wrong address. The branch doesnt bother picking up the phone if you try calling. How is that for customer service? Updated 10/5/2016: Still an absolutely horrible branch. The manager straight up lies to customers. Youre also lucky if you can even understand what words are coming out of his hick mouth. Another of our packages was "lost" on its way to my house. The drivers will steal your items. Use FedEx or UPS instead.

After years of bad service (see small note in older post below), I went in and told new manager my issues, since he inherited terrible mess, it appears that he might have hired better carrier and no one putting wrong mail in PO box since. For that reason, I giving him credit and change my rating now t from lowest to almost highest rating if continues to improve I will give highest rating 5 stars, I posted below and I changed it above after new manager. Worst PO in world. Often get other peoples mail in my PO box OFTEN home delivery says I not home to SIGN but I AM always there and they say left a NOTE but seldom leave a note, NEED new manager take this place PRIVATE, fire all but a few that really work, pay only pay based on PERFORMANCE this should NOT be GOVERNMENT job get paid and lifetime retirement or benefits by doing NOTHING, example of how terrible all is, when GOVERNMENT takes over anything.

Numerous delivery issues with post office, Received mail for another address a number of times. A credit card renewal sent by a major retailer was never received. Had to cancel the card and reissue it. Package too large for mailbox was returned to post office and a self pickup card left rather than placing it on front porch. When I went in to pick it up found sign on pickup window with three different time intervals during the day window was open. Not open when I was there, went back during one of the listed time intervals. Window still not open, inquired in main postal area and found the window was not being used by post office any longer, had to stand in line inside to get package. Customer service does not exist there. No wonder they are slowly going out of business. I only use them when absolutely necessary, pay a little more and use reliable UPS or FedEx when possible.

These guys should be ashamed of them selves. I ordered something and had it to be sent through priority shipping. Basically the expensive 1-2 business day shipping where you have to be present to sign. Using the tracking I got the estimated time the item was supposed to arrive. So morning turns into noon and Im wondering where the delivery guy is. I check online tracking again "Recipient not available" Seriously? There were 3 people in the house at the time. The doorbell is broken which is apparent from the outside. But it doesnt hurt to knock. If who ever did the delivery would have knocked surely someone would have been at the door. So I get that tan slip in the mail box saying they came by and the item would be available for pickup the next morning. Im going to make them refund the money I spent on that service. Never again with USPS.

I agree with the last review. I moved here 2 weeks ago and already ran into some issues delivering mail and packages at our apartments. The office does not accept packages and so the postman will take the time to knock on my door or even leave a pink delivery notice at my door or my mailbox. I had to track down my own package and sit in hold for 1hr 4 min for someone to tell me to contact the local office whom confirmed the mail route who is assigned has received many complaints already. This is federal mail. It should be a privilege to work for the United States post office. Anyone would love to get paid for that position they portray as lazy. Then when one get fired for being lazy, they blame it on the government for no "good jobs". What a joke. I need my mail and packages that I pay for. Simple as that.

Let me start to say that Im a retired Post Man.... In all my career with the post office this is the worst time of all... The service had declined so badly..., that right now I prefer to send my mail by email, UPS or FeDex and thats bad. My mail its been going to differents addresses sense the regular had been out of the route. I had received a piece of mail last thursday that does not belong to me, I send it back and guess what , Yes I got it back yesterday. I put it back in to the mail box and who ever pass by today left my mail but also leave the mail that I had going out that does NOT belong to me. I guess what its frustered is the lacking of supervision for the best. "YES..., POST OFFICE IT IS GOING TO THE WORST"!

After reading all the 1 star reviews I have to agree. This might be the worst post delivery service in the United States. Up until about six months ago our service was great. Didnt get other peoples mail. Had no accounts of returned mail. Our address has staid the same and in the last six months this post office has sent back the majority of our important mail to the senders and left all the junk in our mailbox. Im getting inquiries from companies saying I need to update my address because they have returned mail and are threatening to put holds on my account if I dont update. And its not like I can use another post carrier, because I would. This office supports the majority of McKinney. How has it gotten so bad?
