For anyone that lives in Porter or has just recently moved to the area, do not, I repeat, do not let the way the Post Office affect the way you see the area. The Post Office at Partners Way just off FM 1314 has had the same employees for the last 20 years. Ray has worked there since 1996, and a few others have been there since 2001 at least. The Postmaster has never been nice in any way at that location. In the last 7-8 years, things have declined in the ways of service, delivery times, etc. I have lived in Porter since I was born in 1993, my family and I lived up the road from the post office. I recently moved to another side of town and the delivery service to the apartments is very slow, especially during the holidays. Everything is so silly. During the Summer 2015, we didnt get mail most times until after about 10:30pm at night. During that time, the post office is closed and all drivers are supposed to be in. Now during the holidays with Christmas only a few weeks away, its back to the same old thing. This is just a notice to everyone giving bad reviews against not just the post office, but Porter in general. The township is nice. The services provided good in their own way, the resources good as well. Dont let the people that work here turn you away from what good this community has to offer. -C. Ruonavar.

IF 0 stars was an option I would click it. You try and call and its ALWAYS BUSY.. WTF!!! What business line is always busy?? You have a problem and tell them what it is and they dont fix it.. SERIOUSLY.. WTF... Three days have passed and I have a package sitting in our box I cant get because some jackass broke the key in the lock. I tell the post office they just simple give me another key. REALLY!!! Is this a magic key that will remove the broken key that is in the lock so I can get my package. 3 days now. When I was told it would be delivered to my door because of this. Nope still there.. WTF.. Update. You would think they would learn. I dont know put a stick note inside of the parcel lockers thay have broken keys so they stop putting stuff in them. Guess they arent too bright to do such a thing that I dont know is pretty simple to think of. Still doing the same thing which is leaving packages in parcel lockers that have broken keys. Make matters worse they deliver at such late times by the time youre able to make it to the mailboxes the post office is closed to get any type of resolution. Ive managed to get someone on the phone 1 time in the 100 times plus Ive tried to get someone. It shocked the hell out of me.. You call its still a busy tone. THIS POST OFFICE IS A COSMIC JOKE IF I EVER SAW ONE.

Thoroughly pissed off is an understatement to say the least!!! Have recieved wrong mail,put back in our box to send to correct address only to be shocked to find the same letter back in our box the next afternoon. Not ony once but three times wih the same letter. These people have absolutely no idea what it means to match names & numbers. Also, witing for a very important medical package shipped through Amazon and usps with a tracking number for safety. Weve been out in the front yad all afternoon & evenng and no one has walked a package to our door. Heck, the mailman didnt even come down our road today! B get this, they send a confirmation email & text saying it was delivered & walked toour front door @ 6:42pm....LIARS!!!! Theres absolutely no way they did this. Somewhere, someone either has my package or the postoffice kept it. They need new management and a new group to train their employees!!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE! I give a minus

I live in a community that has a row of mail boxes all together on one side, which I cant see from my house. Therefore, in most cases that I have ordered something through USPS the driver has very kindly brought my post to my house. I have always thought that this was the way the deliverys worked until today. I have been waiting for a package to come in since Thursday and have yet to receive it, so I decided to try tracking it. Much to my surprise, the order was reporting that it had been delivered on Friday. I called the Porter post office numerous times throughout the day receiving nothing but a busy signal, until finally at 4:00, I was able to get through. Once I expressed my concern, the "new" employee, informed me that once they leave it, its out of their hands. So, in closing , it appears that my package has been left at a community mail box that I again cannot even see from my house. I hope this is settled soon.

I believe there are people in this company stealing packages. We have had several packages claimed to be delivered, only to not be. The workers put in that they were delivered and then claim to not even know about the package, putting the blame somewhere else. We have tracking systems for a reason. Very bad service! I only put 1 star because they did answer the phone when I called to complain and look for the package. I believe the problem is those actually delivering the mail. The front desk people seem to be helpful. However, if they continue to employ these dishonest workers, they should be blamed as well. We have only had problems with this the last 2 years after having lived here 8 years.

The guy who was "helping" me post my letters to my penpals was so rude. He kept huffing under his breath because my letters were decorated. One of them had an envelope that was made from a magazine cover and so I used the sticker addressing label to write the address on it, I didnt know it was priority mail or what that even meant, and he didnt even explain it to me he just huffed and charged me 6$ to send a .40c letter. That was the whole reason I even went inside, to ask how to properly post my letters! Not to get huffed at by some pissy clerk and charged 20$ to send 12s worth of letters!

I repeatedly have packages marked "delivered" on tracking information that never show up, or are put in the wrong boxes. How can it be marked delivered if it is not delivered until days later, or not at all? I have received other peoples mail and packages more times than I can count, and I always hand deliver it to the person it belongs to - knowing the post office will likely fail to do its job again. This is by far the worst post office I have ever dealt with. Every package has an address. How hard can it possibly be to get them in the right box on time?

When we moved to Porter, several local organizations mentioned that the mail service here is bad. Bad is an understatement. Delivery to our home is slow. Sometimes they dont show up until 8:00 or 9:00 PM. When sending mail it takes way longer to have mail delivered to someone than it did at our old Post Office. It often takes two weeks to have something delivered that should take less than a week. They "Lost" a birthday card with gift cards inside. Amazingly, the other item that was mailed at the exact same time was delivered with no problems.
