They CHEAT! I used their services twice because it is close to my school. First time, I went there for oil change and courtesy inspection. The staff suggested me to replace my break pad. But after I asked them how much it left, I think it is still okay so that I didnt change immediately. After I drove my car home, I noticed something wrong in the left front tire area. It sounds like one part scratching another. The same thing happened in my previous car one year before, I am very sure about the reason - something is loose in that area. I drove back to Firestone and ask them to check since I never heard the noise in my current car before the oil change and inspection. The staff insisted it is the break pad problem and asked me to replace until I told him I am very sure it is nothing to do with the break. Then he asked a mechanic to rise the car and check. After the mechanic fix the problem, I asked him privately what happened. He told me it is because someone didnt fasten a bolt after the courtesy inspection. I dont feel very comfortable about them but thought maybe the staff doesnt have enough mechanical knowledge so that he gave me wrong suggestion. Several months later, I went to this Firestone again for state inspection. During the inspection, they told me that one of the tail light doesnt work. They can fix it for me with $14. However, I knew that if I go to Autozone to buy a bulb and install, it only cost few bucks. So I asked them to suspend the state inspection. I will replace the bulb and come back. The staff told me if I leave this place, I have to pay the inspection fee (about $30) again when I come back. He claimed it is by LAW (which is a lie)! I trusted him and spend $14 to replace the bulb in Friestone and complete the inspection. However, when the mechanics drove my car out of the store, I found the tail light was still off. Although they fix it immediately after I told them, I feel very weird. How did they pass the state inspection if the light was still off?? It was not over. One day after the inspection, when I drove back home, my neighbor told me that she found my tail light still doesnt work!! Based on my experience, NEVER EVER trust the Firestone because they CHEAT!

It is not matter to me anymore and it happened long time ago. I decide review now because I had another bad service on other Firestone location. I dont think they still selling coupon however my mistake was bought Firestone coupon. I think it was real good deal but I can not remember exact detail. I was there for using my first oil change coupon. They changed oil and multi inspected my car. I signed up the paper work and they gave me a multi inspection report that doesnt have any problem. It was just fine until almost I made home. I smelled coolant and looks like smoke from hood. My car was Mazda Miata so I can see and smell it from engine room because it was very small car. I stopped car and opened the hood and found out steam came out from radiator and very top of radiator had cracked. The cracked was little but it looks like hit by something. I went to back to Firestone right away and asked them about it. They told me they didnt do anything about it and asked me why I opened hood and checked it out. That was dump question I ever heard. They told me if I didnt know about the crack how I can opened the hood and found out the crack. Smell from engine room and smoke from under the hood that is not enough clue to open the hood and find out where is smoke came from??? I felt they not honest and did not want to find out what was going on and blame everything on me to made me look cheater. Simply if the crack was before oil change, how come no one smell or see it when I get there and when they inspected my car. I was very upset and called the manager. He came to me and told me leave before he call police on me. I trashed the coupon so I wasted money not save. It was worst deal ever not good deal at all.

I had very unpleasant experience in the Firestone Campbell Rd, Richardson store. I got a flat tire changed before I drove there to replace for a spare tire. It cost me $145 for a new tire. They switched the place of the 4 tires claiming it would be better for the balance. However, the light of the tire pressure flashed immediately after I drove away, and the wierd feeling when driving was very obvious. So I drove back asking why, the guy Randy said it would went off after I drove more than 10 miles. But of course it was not the case. I went back again the next day, then they said the rim of the previous flat tire was badly damaged. He suggested I should send it to fix or replace with a new rim. I asked the cost. He said $150 for fixing and $200-300 for a new rim. But when they got it fixed, they charged me $227. What pissed me off was that after they changed back to that fixed tire, the light went on immediately again! I dont think they really got it fixed. And I dont know why they would hand over a vehicle to a customer with an alarm light flashing! It was totally unprofessional. When they finally got the light went off with what methods I was really not aware of, I asked what caused the problem. Randy couldnt give me a reasonable answer, but sounded infering that the light was the problem! I dont feel like trusting these people. And the attitude was indifferent and arrogant. I dont think I will go there ever again!

Went there yesterday for a new battery for my 2001 Buick LaSabre. They wanted to charge me $175 plus tax for the battery and a $15 labor fee................then the guy behind the counter said that they would pull it in the garage and examine the battery and maybe he could replace it with a lesser battery. I look out and the service guy is putting my car on the lift and raising it up six feet in the air. I asked the clerk what the heck was going on? He lied and said that they always do a complete courtsey check on all cars...............actually the service man raised up my car because he had no clue as to where the battery is located in a BUICK (right under the rear seat). So the INSIDE Firestone man had no problem lying to me and the MAINTENANCE SHOP man had no clue as to where the battery is in a BUICK. When I questioned them further the leader said, "So you want us to lower your car and you take it somewhere else?" I responded, Yes and mentioned that I found out first hand why their FIRESTONE has such a miserable TWO STAR rating on the internet. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.............PS..........I got a DieHard Gold for $135....................and they had little trouble finding the battery.
