Where do I begin? I had the compressor and condenser for my A/C replaced back in February. After that, everything blew ice cold and I was extremely happy. I wouldnt expect anything less given the cost I paid for this service, $2200. Fast forward to the end of June when things really started heating up in Texas. I noticed my A/C had stopped blowing as cold as it should and it was struggling to keep things cold. Long story short, they found a small leak at one of the valves and replaced it free of charge for me, then sent me on my way. One week passes and its still not cooling as it should so I go back a 2nd time. They cant see any leaks anywhere, but confirm my system is losing freon. They charge me up and send me on my way again. He did mention that it could be my evaporator but that would cost $1300 in labor alone to get to it just to see if it was leaking. One week later I am back at Midas and decide to let them do the work to replace my evaporator. This repair set me back $1585. Surely my AC system should be blowing nice and ice cold at this point. I go to pick up the car and he confirms its blowing 40 degrees out of the vents using his thermometer. Keep in mind, its a $4 thermometer that was bought at Harbor Freight. But I still take his word for it. I drive away and it just wasnt blowing very cold. I gave it the weekend to see if it would get any better. Nope. I take it back and he uses his thermometer to check the temp and sure enough, it shows 40 degrees on his $4 thermometer. Kyle, the manager at Midas let me take his thermometer with me to monitor the temp coming out of my vents. At this point Ive had enough and decide to take it to Toyota of Richardson for their expertise. Right off the bat they compare the thermometer used at Midas with their professional thermometers and the Midas one was showing ten degrees cooler than it really was. This did not make me happy. Toyota of Richardson really went above and beyond for me, checking my AC system inside and out. They even cleared out and recharged the system multiple times. There were no leaks and everything was working properly. The official diagnosis was the fact Midas used aftermarket parts and they are very much inferior to OEM parts. I had no idea Midas used aftermarket parts. I was not given a choice so I just assumed they would be replaced with OEM parts. Big shame on me for assuming such a thing. So here I sit, almost $4000 later, with a completely new AC system that cant keep my car cold in the summer. I sent an email to Midas corporate earlier this week about my dissatisfaction and have yet to hear back. I want everyone to know out there what to expect when you go to Midas. Hopefully my honest review will save others from going through what I am currently dealing with. I will never use Midas again and I STRONGLY urge others to look elsewhere, whether its the dealership or other auto shop.

I would strongly recommend not to go here.. I took my car for brake pads and rotors. They told me initially I have life time warranty and charged me $90 for installing it.. That was ridiculous.. THey gave me a quote and I called back in 2 mins and said not to repair it, and they threatened me that I have to pay $90 for restocking.. ALl parts are charged double the price, and worst scene, they did not even tell me which brand they installed.. So, no way of telling it ifs a genuine part or if its a fake one which will break soon.. They gave me a warranty for 3 months on the rotors.. I am not sure how long they will last.. They cheated me into getting it done at their location.. I got a quote for 400 outside with brake pads and all other service related to fixing it.. They did it for 560 and threatened me for restocking fees if I pulled back in 2 mins time frame..They asked me to bring coupons and when I took them, they said they cannot be overlapped.. Complete cheating and completely unfair.. each rotor was charged $110- $130, when its just $60 outside.. DONT GO HERE>. I AM WARNING YOU.. YOU WILL BE RIPPED..

I went here recently to get an oil change and it was cheaper than other places nearby - but keep in mind I called ahead of time and they gave me a discount over the phone because they seemed eager to have me come in on a rainy weekday. Long story short, the lady at the front desk was nice, the price was in fact reasonable, and the place seems ok; however, they did take too long doing the oil change even though it seemed like they werent busy. Other than that I understand there are a lot of bad reviews about this place - but how else do you think places such as this make money? Id hate to say it, but if you have an average car that most places can work on, then its ok to not get your service done there and in-fact you should get more than one opinion and get multiple quotes before you proceed.

I took my car there and they changed my rear brakes - completely - including rotors. Never mind that that was done by Midas less than 10K miles and was still under Midas warranty. It was absolutely unnecessary. I paid for that. The problem remained. I went back several times (incurring rental car expense). They do not seem to get it and their ability to think logically is poor. I spent several hunders dollars on top of $700 I spent before. Finally, I went to "Just Brakes" and honest guys there found a problem in a day. I fixed this problem with two 5c washers. This is what they should have done in the first place, but they would neither think, nor listen to reason. Never the less, it is a good business given that they took close to $1000 from me for nothing. Never go there !!!!!!

I brought my car in to get new tires and to hopefully get my alignment fixed after having several other shops tell me they didnt know how to fix it and to go somewhere else. Sam and Charles took the time to really look at what the cause was and spent the extra time to align my car. The drive home wad awesome, Im a bit of a stickler for a straight alignment and a hadnt had it for several months. I was so happy it was finally fixed and for much less cost then I anticipated. Im a little girl who always feels taken advantage of when it comes to dealing with cat repair and these guys were informative and respectful. I live in Dallas and I will forever make the trip to Richardson for my car needs.

Went to have brakes checked, guy at front desk needs Customer Service training, he acts like a High Schoo kid. He asked when was the last time you had brake work done? I said this would be the first, he started laughing. When they inspected my brakes, they said i needed front and back breaks redone 1800.00? what, are you kidding me.Then he tried to cut it to 1200.00, 600.00, 500.00 and asked me what prices other stores are giving me? I have read the reviews on google, this place is terrible. He said i need new rotors, every rebuilt, come on....I will tell everyone about this rippoff place...found a place that did front ,back for 368.00 BAM, hows that...
