Visited this shop with my father whom works for the city of Allen, after hearing wonderful things about this place I drove from the HEB area to Midas seeking a mechanic that would be honest about necessary repairs. Prior to my visit as Midas, I took my car to Grubbs Nissan concerned about a rattling noise during my acceleration (coming from the exhaust). Nissan advised me that my vehicle couldnt pass inspection and on the low end needed $2000 worth of repairs to pass(entire exhaust system needed replaced including manifold) and high end $4000. I then took my car to Midas and they were completely honest. Nothing is wrong with the exhaust. The rattling noise coming from a heat shield, and my catalytic converter passed inspection first time, no record on carfax of a failed omissions test. Left feeling 100% confident I will never take my car to another mechanic. This is the long story short!!! I could go on and on about how amazing this location is, the owner is an amazing man!!!!!! The owner is absolutely amazing and genuinely wants to help all of his customers!!

Good service with quality repair with no surprise wallet visits. On Saturday March 12th I went in with my 05 Grand Cherokee to get an alignment and a half the rear brakes looked at I was having a squealing noise and the rear brakes if you were to be driving and slightly pulled a break would have a grinding noise and drop it off at 11 oclock like I made my appointment which they promptly helped me and got to my car the only thing that Ive had as a negative experience which game to 4 instead of 5 star review is that I have requested a call with an estimate of price and I never got that call that being said they didnt charge me for any brake work that they did it was a free inspection and it is the alignment out the door for a hundred bucks and my brakes are 100% working how they should very responsive and I will definitely be returning and recommending the shop.

My car had been making a loud noise for a few months now, which progressively had gotten worse. I decided to take my car to Midas, after a recommendation from a friend and reading reviews. I was told that my power steering pump was worn and it was causing air to get in. The guy in the front recommended that I get it replaced, either now or after the pump breaks. I decided I might as well go ahead and get it replaced. They gave me an estimate and ordered the pump. The next day I dropped my car off and within a few hours, which I had expected, they replaced my power steering pump. My car is now noise free and the steering wheel feels a whole lot better. I will definitely be returning for any further repair or maintenance my car may need. Thanks Midas for the excellent customer service and great quality work!

HORRIBLE place, HORRIBLE people! I called the Midas Headquarters and complained! Spent over 1000 dollars to fix car and next day, as I am driving on the freeway, the engine blew up!!!!!!!! Fire was coming out of the front of the car, my entire family and I started running away from the car in the shoulder of the freeway which was scary too! The owner of the shop is refusing to take responsibility and refund the money! If he did a good job, how did the engine blow up??? HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR...NOT AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!

Goddamn awful....I bought a new set of Sumitomo tires in November 2015. A sidewall on a front tire blew out causing a bulge on the sidewall the size of a golf ball. The store manager said. "not my problem you must have cause it. The tires were only six months old with only a few thousand miles on the and he says, "no warranty" I called the manufacturer they are looking into it...If you need tires...dont go to the Midas in Allen, TX, at 123 N. Greenville Ave. They dont stand behind their products or their work. We dont need crooks in Allen, TX. These people need to close up and leave town.

I had the best experience when I went to this car shop! I have lived in Allen for over 10 years and this shop has superb customer service. They were very kind and honest. They kept me updated about my car the whole time I was there and I felt comfortable while they were working on my car. The shop is very clean and all the mechanics seemed very well educated. After talking with Alex and his son for sometime I truly feel like this is one of the best shop in the DFW area. They area very fair with their prices. Do yourself a favor and try them out!

I used to love this place but Ive had bad experiences with it the past two tines. They used to just change your oil with a smile, they try to nickle and dime you for everything. As you can see from the picture below, because I told them I would replace the cabin air filter myself they jammed mine back in there so that it looked like this. Looks like Im looking for a new place to get an oil change which is too bad because I got my oil changed once a month because I drive a ton of miles each month. Stay away this place has gone downhill fast.

More than just a mechanic! They were very cordial and really were patient in working with my wife as she took her vehicle in for service. Prices were fair and the associates were courteous. We have gone back many times and with each visit, I was not pressured for additional services or products and clear instruction with details where provided for the issue and the solution. I used to be a customer of the old oil depot (before it sold)....was looking for a new place, finally I just went I to Midas one day and WOW....the service was fantastic. From the customer rep at the counter to the mechanics, all staff was fantastic. Prices are also very good. Needless to say all six family members now bring their cars here for oil changes and other service needs.

This is a great place to have your auto repaired or just a little tune-up. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. Alex is a great guy and focused on treating his customers like family. If you ever have some technical problem with your car ask for Don, he will get it worked out. Im so happy I found this place, very convenient, fast and friendly.

Had no issues with oil leaks or anything before I went here. I got an oil change and I had to go back to replace the dip stick. Got that fixed and its still leaking. They act like youre their best friend while screwing you at the same time. Ill never go back.
