I called this company to ask if they could duplicate my motorcycle key, and they said, "absolutely." I brought it in, and they did not have the correct blank. So they used a blank that worked, but which they had to modify it and monkey around filing it down for a while before it turned in the ignition lock. A few months later, I lost my original factory key and pulled out the Absolute Lock spare, which I had on me. (I was miles from my house when I lost my key, incidentally.) To my dismay, the duplicate, while it worked in the ignition, did not work on the handlebar lock, and, I found, only opened the gas cap with about 10 minutes of fiddling. So I called the company, and they offered to make a new key if I brought in the gas cap, by opening said cap and decoding it. But the only guy who can apparently do this work was "out on calls" the rest of the day so I just had to leave my gas cap at the Bandera Rd. store and wait for a call the next day -- even though I was stranded (and needed to find a ride to the store both to drop it off and pick it up). Despite the fact that this was an error in their jerry-rigged duplication process, they said they would charge me $35 to create a new key. However, Absolute did not call me the next day so in the afternoon I called and the locksmith was again "out on calls" and would not make it to the store ALL DAY. A "key tech" at the shop filed the key some more to make it turn the gas cap lock a bit better (but it was still not a smooth turn for the key) and I went and picked it the cap and the duplicate key. Got it back to my bike, and it still did not work. So the following day in the morning I called and they offered to send someone out to fix it -- at a cost of "at least" 95 dollars!! When I complained about having been stranded, having had to leave my gas cap two days only to have them skip the whole decoding thing and do some lame filing job, and having been provided with a bad duplicate in the first place, the shop owner because rude. "How is that MY problem?" he said. "YOU lost the original. You should have tried the duplicate in all of your locks." Too bad they didnt try the key in all of the lock when they were making the duplicate and when the motorcycle was parked right in front of their shop. Especially considering they were using the wrong blank. Perhaps I should have had the foresight to anticipate their incompetence and try the key in the steering wheel lock. Live and learn. But the main thing I learned is that this is a small, unprofessional shop with no customer service ethic. I would advise people with locksmith issues to look elsewhere.

I ordered a keyless remote last Saturday they told that my would be arriving on Thursday,Id called on Friday afternoon to check if the remote arrived, they said yes it was there,so I told them that Ill be there on Saturday,so when I went to Absolute Lock&Safe office, they told me that the remote hadnt arrived and to check on Monday to see if it arrived. VERY DISAPPOINTED....... BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE So finally my remote control came in,but it was cracked.So I talked to the guy behind the counter and he said , sorry about that bro, and nothing else he could do. So you couldnt order another remote control or give a discount, something besides "sorry bro" its just frustrating,but thats not the end of it, I also had a key made last week but it didnt, so I also talked to the guy about it and he made an other one,but I came home and check the key to see if the key worked,Guess what it didnt work..... VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!

Bait and switch on the prices. Picked the locksmith due to the location about two miles away from office. Charged me for labor one hour and charged me full price for travel one hour. Than charged me extra for actual work completed - the work was done correctly just doubled in price. In the future if I ever call them again I would get the price in writing up front.

Needed a lock re keyed for the tailgate on my truck. Took out and brought the lock to the store. They got it done in under 15 mins. Happy customer, since the dealership wanted to charge upwards of $100.
