BAD SHOP! Ill be contacting the BBB on these folks. If you are looking for a shop to fix their mistakes and be honest, you are looking at the wrong place. I went in to get multiple items looked at/fixed. They did not do what I had asked at all. Not one bit. When I got my vehicle back, the exhaust issue was still the same, if not worse. They didnt reinstall an exhaust hanger as they said they would, and they also used the "quick fix" exhaust pipe goop to fix a gap. If I wanted it fixed like that, I wouldve bought that stuff at Oreillys. In addition, now my brake light and parking brake light are on all the time. In addition, the brakes now lock up when pressed on hard. It showed on their sheet that they checked the brakes. Not sure how they give me back a vehicle with issues that it did not have when I took it there. When I called about these issues, I spoke with multiple people, including a Baumann relative and someone claiming to be a master mechanic. Their explanation was, "You got alot done for the price we charged you". I explained to them that this what the price they quoted me. I would have been more than happy to pay more for the issues to be fixed properly. That is exactly what I did after they refused to fix their screwups. Baumannn will never be recommended by me to anyone. In fact, I do my best to make sure anyone I know understands this.

Got a coupon book last summer from a man going door to door as a gift.The first visit at the Culebra location they were amazing. Then, we moved to bandera and their mainland location was the closest. Ive tired three times to make appointments the "blonde" lady is just rude. I finally get in and shes just telling they cant take my coupons because they were cut out yet the last location never told me anything. That this "one" time shell except them. Then proceeds to tell me they are running behind and will take longer, so much for an appointment right. Then right in front of me, calls the other location to tell them they had a customer who said, basically what I told her. So unprofessional. Im only still here because those coupons were a gift and I didnt want to waste his money. But I will never come to this location again. All because of that "blonde" ladys rude attitude.

If you think that theres no such thing as an honest mechanic, you are wrong. Go see Sarah and the boys at Baumann Auto Repair off of Mainland. I moved to San Antonio 2 years ago and had two terrible experiences at two different auto repair shops before finding Baumann. They are quick, they are HONEST, and they are considerate. This morning, my cars AC decided to kick the bucket... on the longest day of Summer, with my 1-year-old in the car. I drove straight to Baumann, and even though they seemed busy when we arrived, they still managed to diagnose the issue (blower motor died), order parts (I watched it arrive about 45 minutes after they made the call), install the parts, and give me my AC back (better than before) in about TWO HOURS. Price was totally reasonable. I will never take a car to any other mechanic. If they move, we move :)

I went in a while back because I saw an oil change and tire rotation special on their sign. It took a little longer than Im used to, but everyone was very nice and it was one of those car shops where you feel youre being treated fairly and honestly. Today I had a tire blowout on 1604. I called then b/c I remember they said they had a tow service and asked if they could come out with a jack b/c mine wasnt raising the car high enough to get the spare on. They said theyd have someone out right away. When I told them I didnt have cash on me, they told me not to worry about it and to just remember them the next time I need any work done. I definitely will.

Horrible service. Took one of my vehicles for A/C work only to have it work for a week. Took it back and was told by the "blond lady" named Sarah that they had to shim the compressor, but that didnt work. After a 3 visits Sarah will look at you like, what do want to do about it. A few months later Im thinking lets give them a second chance and took another vehicle for oil leak coming from the cylinder head. They took $1200. from me and patched it up with silicone. When I took it back I was given a suggestion to engine swap for $3500. And as for a warranty not worth a cent. If you want them to grant their warranty you have to pay.

Went in for 30K mi service on my Toyota Prius, which was basically an oil and filters change, tire rotation and inspection. They kept me apprised of the status of the work, let me know the estimated cost, and even gave me a coupon when I didnt have one. As far as I can tell, everything was done correctly. Baumann also took care of a problem with a previous repair on a Ford Ranger that was still under warranty, no questions asked. They also diagnosed & solved an electrical problem and a wheel bearing problem. They strike me as being very honest, and the quality of their work seems very good.

This place is the most dishonest place you can get service at! My mom took her jeep to get fixed here when all they did was cause more damage than it originally had! She pretty paid for them to mess up her Jeep. And when she said they messed up the emergency brake, they say " it was already broken what do you want me to do about it!" This place is a hell hole never go here. It deserves no stars, really but there wasnt an option for it. bummer.

As a long time customer of this Baumann location, the treatment my daughter received recently (and by management at the next level) was very surprising and disappointing! And, all because my daughter questioned how she was charged differently than she had been told. My family and I will not return to or recommend Baumann ever again!!

They are so good that I now drive all the way back from Houston to have them service my car!

Took one car here and they charged 550 for simple repairs, we took it to someone and they said nothing was wrong. I also took another car here that they said they fixed, car didnt start after a day so I took it to a different shop.
