New to town and didnt know where to take my car for brakes. Looked at Google reviews and was impressed by quality of experiences described, happy to add one more stellar review! Was able to book a next-day appointment through the website even after they were closed, confirmed in the morning and they were able to fit me in that day and received a quote for $325. Arrived at location, the shop and office were clean, open, and inviting. Was greeted by Chad Miller personally, and we had a long conversation about independent small businesses in San Antonio, and his service philosophy about establishing relationships with customers. I waited on-site while rear brakes on my Subaru Outback were done. Refreshments, comfortable seating, free guest WiFi. Brake job took a little less than 2 hours, mechanic took it for a test drive, and then handed it over to me. No hidden extra "emergency repairs" were discovered, and invoice stated high-quality ceramic pads.Total price included 10% new customer discount for total of $301. Always nice to receive a discount and to have price come in under the estimate (though without the discount the estimate would have been spot-on). 3yr/30K mile warranty on parts & labor included. Altogether a great car-service experience, price was reasonable and Chads personal touch gave me confidence about quality of work. Will definitely bring my car here again to this independent local small business. Chad & his wife put a lot of thought into customer experience and satisfaction, and it shows!

My Expedition threw a code for "cylinder 7 misfire." Since my generation expedition is notorious for its breaking spark plugs, we brought it in to change all 8 plugs. I do not live in San Antonio, and the misfires started 3 days before I was supposed to make my trip back. When we took the expedition in, we spoke to Tony, and he told me that he could have all plugs done by the day we left. We were quoted about $450 in labor and parts, all the way up to $900 (extra labor hour for each plug that broke). Come the next day, we get a call from Tony. He tells me that he had pulled the plugs and they were fine, and the actual problem lies in the coil packs. Water was entering the electrical system, and one was just straight cracked and losing power. 2 coils had to be completely replaced and 4 other coils needed to have new boots installed to seal from any potential damage. The team was able to do all that work, without breaking the plugs, within a day or so. Also because the actual repairs were changed from the plugs to the coils, we ended up paying only about $400. TL;DR version (Too long, didnt read) CM Auto Care is very trustworthy and good at what they do. I would take me truck back anytime there was a problem I cant handle, if I lived in San Antonio. 10/10

They did more for me in three days than other mechanics have done for me in three weeks. Chad called me at least twice daily, making sure that I was aware of exactly what was going on at every step. He showed me pictures of every issue they found; not just being honest, but PROVING it without having been asked. I felt well-informed and that kept me comfortable and confident, even though the work needed was more extensive than I originally thought. They also told me about some potential for lingering issues, although only time will tell on those. They told me to come back in a few hundred miles so they could check it out for me. I didnt step foot into their shop until the day I picked up my vehicle, but I was greeted by name with a big smile. The office is neat and well-lit, and there are cookies. I was only there a few minutes, but it looked like a comfortable place to wait for, say, an oil change (which Ill be doing there forever now) or other quick jobs. Chad was warm and professional through the whole experience, and I can genuinely say that it was a pleasure to work with him and his team. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Just amazing. Oh. And there are cookies. I know I said that already. Its important to me.

To be warned! Chad is condescending, egotistical maniac. If you simply ask if he warranties his services he goes berserk. (For example If i break down a mile down the road what happens then?). I went there for a no start condition what a mistake! Obviously diagnosing isnt their specialty. I mentioned that I was having sputtering while accelerating he didnt bother to look or fix that neither. Supposedly they test drove the vehicle so Im sure they knew was I was talking about. If you go to a mechanic shop with a problem you expect them to fix it not patch it up. He also mentioned that I was being argumentative when I was calm and simply asking what of caused the issue. He misunderstood the whole situation like a child. My engine is still shutting off and now has new electrical issues because they messed with my wiring. I wondered why he got super defensive when i asked to test out the vehicle and now I know why. Its because he knew he didnt fix the underline issue. For it being my first time in a mechanic garage what a unpleasant one. Dont let the good reviews fool you like they did me. I would definitely not recommended this place to anyone. Stay away! Youve been warned!

This was our first visit to Chad Miller Auto Care, as recommended by Discount Tire for an alignment. We made an appointment online, and the service was no-strings attached, and timely. Chad and his business gained my future patronage today for the fairness and honesty with which they treated me, and the time Chad took to discuss and explain issues we had going on with our vehicle that we were aware of but a little nervous to have diagnosed due to costs. He prioritized and itemized issues in order for us to come up with an affordable plan of action to address them in order of severity and our ability to resolve them financially. He was by no means pushy with additional services or work, an issue Ive experienced at other shops. In addition to how we were treated, I witnessed a couple of conversations with other clients that informed me of how much Chad and his staff care about the client and the staff itself. They give their employees 2-day weekends with closing times reasonable enough so they can go home to their families. This care for work-life balance allows the mechanics to work well-rested and happy, which leads to more productive, higher quality work.

OUTSTANDING WORK! I have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner that HAD a check engine light on for about one year. Toyota dealership checked it 3 times within one month and it was never resolved, not even a straight answer to what the issue could be. I finally I gave up. Next, my 4Runner finally gave up on me and I chose to let Chad and his team take a look at it. Best decision I ever made. I had a diagnosis that same day. Long story short, Chad and his team painstakingly FULLY resolved the check engine issue. They meticulously repaired other issues along the way, tested and reassured the issue was resolved before I picked it up. They restored my full confidence in my 4Runner. On top of that, about 4 days after I picked up my vehicle, Chad went out of his way to give me a follow up call asking how its performance was doing... I have never had a a follow up call from any repair shop in my lifetime! I truly appreciated that! Great job! I can without a doubt recommend Chad Miller and his team to anyone in need of repairs! Thanks again!
