I signed up for Xfinity cable in August out of contract advice dont ever do a contract to year or anything because that gives the company power to rule over and you dont know what youre going to do in two years or whats going to go on or go down in life So I got an out of contract Xfinity cable and Internet for $127 a month with free HBO free all the movie channels on on-demand then I had to call and complain because they didnt give me the channels I wanted so they put more channels on for extra 9.99 ive had nothing but problems always cuts on and off have a service guy come here all the time gets it working and hour later it turns off sometimes the on-demand has a defect be very very careful people because some of the on-demand movies will say free and then you go in and equipping you start watching it and then all of a sudden you get a bill saying you been charge for it and its free movie theyll work with you but theyll give you a hard time then I purchased season one of the real ONeils So it is in my purchased list so I go to watch season one episode one and it says it wants me to buy it again in the purchase list Im like is there a software glitch that I call and a soda they charged me twice for the season and then they credited me back so theyre onDemand is so sketchy you dont know whats free or whats cost so buyer beware on Xfinity on-demand because theyll get you if youre not careful also I was CMT and then I called and I told him I was going to cancel they told me Im in a two year contract and I was like no Im not not have a rid on Xfinity on-demand because theyll get you if youre not careful also I was CMT and then I called and I told him I was going to cancel they told me Im in a two year contract and I was like no Im not so Xfinity will put you in a contract without your consent of the worst company ever rip off dont ever use these guys

First, Id like to say, Ive been a customer of Comcast/Xfinity for a few years. Some of my experiences have been pleasant, others have been terrible. Two years ago (2014) while out of state caring for my grandparents under hospice trying to get an extention on my payment while I wasnt working, my husband was the only source of income (note: we had never been late on ANY payment, always on-time, full balance) I had the worse service from the reps, hung up on 2-3 times. I had to contact corporate and a man named Mark N. was really nice and helpful with getting everything straightened out. Fast forward to last week, I recently moved and had to take my lease in to the office in Layton, UT to verify I am really the current occupant, since the previous tenant failed to disconnect their service (wasnt a big deal, I had no problem doing this). I was being helped by Toni (who was very nice, helpful) and Gina was nice as well. But Ms. Melinda, oh boy! Not sure if she was the manager, the more tenured rep or what. But Melinda really ought to undergo some advanced customer service training! Maybe she was having a bad day, but her attitude was TERRIBLE, not just to me (who, was not being waited on by her anyhow.. but she just barged her way in taking over Toni and Gina helping me), but she (Melinda) was also rude (in my opinion) to the other customers in her line! The most snobbiest, "Im right, youre wrong" attitude I have ever seen. NEWSFLASH: the customer is always right! And even if theyre wrong make them feel like theyre right! Comcast I encourage you to revamp your training and continue training courses throughout employment with customer service /people skills for your customers sake !!!

I made a mistake and gave the wrong address and I called two days before they were supposed to arrive to change it. They cancelled my appointment and were not able to make the next one until a day later than originally. Plus they informed me that I wasnt able to get the special that I had originally signed up for. I wanted internet and cable for $66 for 6 months. When the technician arrived I showed him through the house and pointed out where I wanted connection. He claimed that I wasnt able to get anything connected downstairs. I called my landlord and he wanted to speak to him over the phone. When I went to look for him he was down the block on his phone talking to a friend. He was joking and making crude remarks with his friend that speaking spanish myself I was able to understand. He told me he would only be able to connect one room and that it was the landlords responsibility to rewire everything himself. He refused to even talk to my landlord. I sent him away and called customer service to reschedule for 2 days later. A comcast supervisor called later to apologize being really nice and offered me a really great deal for a whole year and scheduled a different time 3 days later. (Apparently the technician was only a contracter that helped out and didnt work for the company) When the second technician came out he was great. But he informed me that we werent signed up for any of the channels that we original called to sign up for. Such a hassle. Im just hoping the special doesnt end in 5 months like the previous review.

Comcast service is the absolute worst I have ever dealt with. I was expecting after living in small towns for most of my life that coming to SLC and getting "big time" service through Comcast was going to be great. Below are my top complaints with Comcast service: 1. My connection speed is worse and my cost is far more than what I have gotten in multiple other states. 2. I have never dealt with worse customer support and that is saying a lot as I am an IT professional. 3. The way that Comcast nickle and dimes you for every possible thing is ridiculous and over burdensome. SOME examples are: Comcast pre-bills your service rather than billing the month following service unlike anywhere else I have had service. That made it very difficult to come up with the up front costs and the $150 SELF-install kit. I had to have service for work and Comcast is the only provider so I was forced into it. When I found that the cable lines werent setup correctly they charged me another $200 to come out and switch around a couple spliters. Just this month I got notification that the line to my house is having intermittent connection issues. The promptly told me about the issue a month after they noticed it was happening and said they can send a tech to come look at it straight away for a cost. As a customer I should not be responsible for anything that gets the service to my house. After complaining about that they offered at $5 a month an "insurance" plan that covers people coming out to the house to fix those kind of issues.

I have only had service with Comcast for 3 months and I wish I had never signed up with them!!!! The first time I called they gave me a quote and I decided to sign up. The rep took my information, name, address, etc. He said that someone would call me back within a day or 2 to confirm and get some addition information from me. 3 days later and no one calls, so I call them. They tell me they have no record of me in their system at all or that there was any work order to send me equipment. So I have to go through the whole process again. Tell them the price he quoted me. A promotion that included a dvr and I would also get a $50 prepaid card. They then tell me that is not the correct price, but a promotion only offered in provo,ut. The rep clearly knew I didnt live in provo because he asked my address the first time. So he says I cant get that promotion and would also have to pay another $10 for dvr a month. Also they told me $40 for installation during the first call and then $80 the second time. He found it in his gracious heart to give me the $40 install anyway. But then SURPRISE still $80 on my freakin bill! Then today (3 months into service) I chat online with them because I still have not received this $50 prepaid card I was supposed to. The rep then tells me that was not included in my bundle. These people drive me crazy! I cant believe they are still in business! I will never sign up with them again! I wish I could give them zero stars!
