Ive been to this salon a few times for a brow wax and honestly never left disappointed. Today I went in for my first cut and color (my old guy is in salt lake & I havent found a great place since living in this area) Id like to start by saying I really liked the girl who did my hair. She was extremely sweet and friendly. Im not sure what her name was but she was good! I explained what I wanted and had pics of it from previous times. I did a platinum, a Carmel and then a reddish brown color. Hair is extremely hard to judge when its wet, once it was dry I realized you couldnt really see the blonde at all. You can barely see it in spots but not really & definitely not I thought I had said I was going for. I figured Id get used to it and just deal with it for now. I thought maybe I was being too picky or I just wasnt noticing it. I asked about coming back and having just blonde touched up and she said about 4-6 weeks. Ugh I guess I could wait. When I got home the hubby didnt even know nor could he tell my hair had been colored, he thought I just got it trimmed. When I told him I had 3 colors and a cut he was shocked. Thats when I really felt cheated out of a good hair coloring & he felt bad that I wasted my Mothers Day gift on a trim. All in all I spent $130 +tip for a really nice gal & a trim more than any color and am rather bummed. Honestly, based on this, I dont think I would recommend this salon at all for hair and Im hoping the hubby will let me spend more money to get it fixed.

I work with children with Autism and have recently started taking several of my clients to get haircuts at Sheer Envy Salon. It has been such a positive experience. The staff allow me to visit the salon with my clients to introduce them and have them get used to the new environment. We walk around, look/play with the tools (hairdryer, spray bottle, chair, sink, etc) so that when we do come in for the actual haircut my client is not overwhelmed or intimidated by the environment. The staff have been so friendly and accommodating and have been working with me to better understand how to interact with children with autism during a haircut. So far I have taken 5 clients into the salon for a haircut, and they have been complete successes. In the past all 5 of these clients have really struggled in salons. I love how patient and open Sheer Envy has been with us. I highly recommend this Salon and will continue to take my clients to Sheer Envy for haircuts.

Didnt do the color I wanted, so they added more color to fix it. The fact that they did their best to fix it same day was the only good thing... Until they charged me for the fix! So frustrated. It was absurdly expensive for what they did and they didnt even do it correctly. I wont be going back. The stylist was also clearly having some major issues and her boyfriend was hanging out in the waiting area almost the entire time! So unprofessional.

I have been going to Shear Envy Salon for several years now. I have went there for hair cuts and lashes. I love the atmosphere and the awesome service!! I have never been disappointed in my services and would highly recommend them to anyone. I also love that they have walk in service for hair cuts. I think it is great for those who need a quick hair do and dont have a scheduled appointment. Check them out, you wont be disappointed!!

I really enjoyed my experience at Shear Envy in Layton! I didnt make a previous appointment and they got me right in. I wasnt 100% sure on what I wanted done with my hair but had some pictures. I donated 10 inches of hair and then the stylist helped me come up with a hair cut I loved! Shelbey was great! She was friendly and helpful. I also liked the salon which was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be going back to Shear Envy!

Horrible Service! I asked for a simple haircut and she said to come in at 12:30 i said would you still take me if Im going to be just a few minutes late and she said no! if you are willing to do my hair at 12:30 and Im trying to rush there do you seriously not have just a few minutes to spare to make sure that my hair gets done I know you have appointments but its just a few damn minutes! Never going here!

About a week ago, I had my hair cut for the first time at Shear Envy. Im extremely happy with my cut and the service I got. Im use to paying a lot more for a cut that I like a lot less. The staff was really welcoming and made me feel that I was important, even though I was just getting a basic cut. This salon will definitely be my new "go to" hair place.

This salon is incredible! I’ve never had a bad experience with my haircut’s or color, they always turn out great! The staff are very friendly, never have to wait when I arrive for my appointment. WENT TO SHEAR ENVY LAST NIGHT HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, HAD MY HAIR COLORED AND IT TURNED OUT GREEN, AND THEN WHEN I TOLD THE GIRL IT WAS GREEN SHE SAID IT WAS THE LIGHTING. IT TOOK OVER 4 HOURS AND IT STILL LOOKS GREEN. I WONT EVER GO BACK ONLY GAVE IT ONE STAR BECAUSE IT COULDNT GO ANY LOWER

Shear Envy is such a relaxing and comfortable environment to get my hair done. I love how friendly all the staff is. I will never go elsewhere. I am always happy with my hairstyle no matter if I am cutting or going dark to blonde I always walk out happy. I highly recomend Shear Envy!

Our family loves Shear Envy Salon! We have been coming here since they opened, we live in Wyoming and drive 2.5 hours to get haircuts. It is always clean and a great atmosphere for us and our 5 kids. We have never had a bad experience here. I would highly recommend this salon!
