My sisters talked me into getting my hair and makeup done here for my wedding day. I tried to protest, but I was very stressed and am not good at doing hair so I gave in. It was a horrible mistake. My sister requested a senior student and told them it was for a bride. Youd think they would assign one of their best students, but that was not the case. She told them we needed to leave by 3:30, and they told her that a 2:00 appointment would be the best. It wasnt. We didnt get out of there until after 4, and my wedding was at 5. I had to redo my makeup and the ceremony didnt begin until 5:25. There was nothing I could do about my hair at that point. I wanted a fairly simple hairdo and actually thought they would do it well. I wanted curls and a celtic knot. I told them my hair doesnt hold a curl well. The student spent almost 2 hours curling my hair, then the instructor came over and proceeded to brush it out. No hairspray was used. Needless to say, there wasnt much curl left after about an hour. Then the instructor did the celtic knot. I didnt think it looked right, but I couldnt tell because the mirror they gave me was absolutely filthy. I asked 3-4 times if they were SURE it looked like the picture I showed, and she insisted it did. Looking at the wedding photos, it DID NOT. The picture I had had a thick, tight, neat celtic knot. What I got was a thin, loose, messy celtic knot. Well, at least for the first hour. Then it was random bobby pins holding hair in bizarre places. I walked around for most of my reception with my hair a complete and utter mess. I am not exaggerating; it was truly horrible. If she had done it like the photo, it would have stayed in without bobby pins. Instead, it fell out even with them. Now for makeup. I brought a lot of my own makeup, and requested pink eyeshadow. I had brought a beauty blender, and told the girl it needed to be wet, twice. She insisted both times that it was "fine". At this point I was becoming more and more nervous because we should have been out of there already and this girl obviously knows nothing about makeup. She put my foundation on with it dry. When she pulled out a black eyeshadow palette I really started panicking. I told her I had to go and got up. She took two fingers and pushed me back into the chair. I realized I wasnt getting out of there until she had her "picture". She put the black eyeshadow all over my eyelid and a light purple cream under my eyebrow. Definitely not the bridal look I was going for. The biggest problem is that they didnt care what I wanted at all. The instructor liked the "messy" look, but that wasnt what I wanted. The student thought black and purple would be good wedding look, but it wasnt what I requested. Can I blame her though if the instructor doesnt care what the client wants either? Shes being taught to do things how she would like them, not how her client has requested and would like them. Neither one of them listened or cared despite it being one of the most important days of my life. Instead of walking down the aisle happy, I was horribly upset. Luckily my dads kilt fell down and saved the day (hilarious enough to stop me from crying).

I have been getting my hair done at beauty schools for years. I understand that it takes an exceptional amount of extra time and energy. I thought I would try the nail services. I went in on a Saturday and spent 3 hours there. One of the nails was cracked when I got home (but had not been cracked when I left). It broke on Sunday. I went in Tuesday afternoon (theyre closed Sun & Mon) and asked if someone could do a quick fix. On 1 nail. Because I had not made an appointment they told me very firmly that no one was available and that I would have to rearrange my schedule to come back in 2 hours. The instructor was very rude and told me it was inconceivable of me to expect to come in and get 1 nail fixed in 30 minutes. That was my opinion she said. She stated that it is not inconceivable to schedule an appointment for nails and for it to take 5 hours. I understand it is a school, I understand that it takes longer. But you should not schedule appointments with students who need 5 hours to complete a set of acrylics. And keep in mind this does not include any of the frills like soaking your hands or a massage. It is the bare essentials and does not feel very special. The student I had was not yet comfortable using an electric sander and sanded all of my nails by hand. The instructor told me that they are a school and not required to go out of their way to provide convenient service. Because it was a school I should have expected there to be a problem and set aside extra time to work around their schedules to come back and have it fixed. She talked to me like I should have known the students schedules and therefore known when it would be convenient for me to come back. I should have called ahead and scheduled an appoint to have 1 nail fixed. I read another post that states that this is the worst experience she has had at a school. I agree.

i treated my daughter(s)to hair and nails before school starts..needless to say i have an emergency color correction scheduled first thing Monday EVEN after they attempted a correction!! they did not use a toner until after the correction, my daughters hair was yellow, orange, rust and platinum with a big spot right in the back of her head w/o any color. it was spotted like a cheetah as the color wasnt thoroughly applied/coated on the entire strands of hair, the gal who painted nails must have had somewhere to be or didnt care, the shellac was all over the skin(i wish i could upload the pics)... the nail instructor actually sided that it was done poorly (and had another girl remove and redo), one of the instructors over the hair acted like we were in the wrong i felt like i was being talked about at the salon. finally after spending 6.5 hours there, we are ready to give a few more hours to the professionals on monday !!! *disclaimer my other daughters hair color from another stylist looks amazing, but the cut is crooked. you would think they would have been more customer service oriented after being there almost a full days worth of work (~8hrs) and not have charged us the $300 but i guess we learned the hard way! (i do understand this is a learning environment but it seems there are still lots of things to learn before charging like a FULLY experienced salon$$$$$)

If I could do no stars I would, this school SUCKS. DO NOT EVER ATTEND SCHOOL HERE. The most dishonest people I have ever met in my life. I attended school here back in 2012 for not even 3 months, I had a medical issue that forced me to not continue, I spoke with the financial aide counselor and he told me that I would only have to pay $2,000.00 for the time I went. I just pulled my credit YESTERDAY (Mind you people, we are in 2015, this is 3 years later) I have a $14,000.00 charge that JUST got sent to a collection agency. FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. Cameo is claiming that they have been sending me notices and phone calls, I have not received anything. They charge a 33% charge when they have to send an amount to the collections without even notifying people. They are not able to do anything about it, even though I have documentation from more than one doctor saying that I am not able to continue being on my feet and can not do hair as a career because it gives me blood clots. Now I am stuck in a huge amount of debt for something I can not help and something that happened 3 years ago. DISHONEST people and honestly, their instructors are not helpful and they are rude and act annoyed to even be there teaching you, even though it is their job. Do not waste your time or money to these dishonest people. They make me sick.
