I write these reviews only to try to correct bad customer service. Today, now is so different. If I could add another star, I WOULD. My day was going great, then it went bad FAST. The story is long if given proper detail. Stepping out of the taxi at Firestone with my tire and rim I was aghast at how tired I was trying to get to this moment, finally the solution. Greeted outside before entering, "bring in the tire." hmm, they see me as a dollar sign, good customer service so far, well until the bill comes, they smile. But I was so WRONG. The special order tire was waiting for me, just mount it and let me get out of here. This was not to be, wrong size, I had a 16.5" (rare) and the new tire a 16", I know dismiss this story now, boring. Emotions were at hilt, I dont work on my cars, I was in a new town, my jack wouldnt work, I hiked by foot to buy a new jack, my soft hands were covered in grease and blood. Tire doesnt fit? OH MY..... (swear, swear..). This story is about Jacob T., the guy who opened the store door, the guy that saw I was distraught and once he had called and called told me he was so sorry (wrong tire was my fault). Then he nearly demands he take me to my car 4 miles away, all of this without pay, Firestone received zero money. The service the kind nature to me was worth $100 maybe $200. Let alone the extra time I saved not waiting for a taxi & tow service. The great advice on future tire buying, didnt know I should know how to save $ on tires. This rambles, yes, but I woke at 4 am contemplating these words, they had to be written, I would feel ashamed for not praising someones ability to see another is at the end of their rope. When I shook his hand in gratitude, it felt great knowing he existed, that I a stranger mattered. Thanks Jacob T. & Firestone for hiring & developing such a quality person & manager. J. Phillips

For the record, I ended up not becoming a customer after talking with some of their representatives. My wife and I were thinking we should start driving Uber, so our car needed an inspection. I couldnt tell from Ubers site if they covered the cost or not, so I called these guys. The guy on the phone said the price was $21 and that Über did not cover it. I was about to let him go when he asked what year my car was. I told him it was a 2016. He then said, "Well, since its a 2016, if you come in I can get you taken care of." I was elated. Upon arrival, I related my phone conversation to them and the guy (apparently the one I had talked to) said, "I said well get you taken care of. I never said it was free." I was stupid for not double checking over the phone, but it was obvious to me I was being preyed on. They wasted my lunch break and didnt get my business in the end. He never straight lied to me, but certainly omitted the whole truth to get me in there. Once I was there, it was quite confrontational -- on their part. I think they were ready for me when I walked in. Somebody needs to teach these two employees how to make an honest sale. I dont know their names, but they were working at the front desk on May 2, 2017 at 1:00pm.

I think Tom was his name... I took my car in for a slow leak repair on a new tire that was purchased and put on by them. When they looked at it they found that my valve stem had a hairline crack. This wouldnt have been a big deal except that it was actually the TPMS sensor which happens to be a $100 part. Once he sold me the service and the part he mentioned that they dont have the equipment needed to make the dash low-pressure light turn off and told me to call the dealership. I called the dealership and they wanted to charge me $75 to do it because I didnt get it there! This all would have been fine if he would have mentioned it before he ordered in the part and charged me for it. I called him back and asked him what he was willing to do for me and he told me there was nothing he could do for me. The mechanics who work there are very competent but I will never go there again because of my experience with him.

This place is without a doubt the BIGGEST ripoff of a company. I went in just to replace a tire and they called me after doing an "ICO" and tried to tell me that I needed to replace the radiator, the air conditioning pump, and $600 to replace my car computer cover. You told me my car was leaking radiator fluid ( its not). They tried to scare me to think that if I drove that car that could be a deathtrap. My total bill wouldve come to around $2000. I had them replace the tire and rim which cost $268. I then took my car to the dealership. The dealership mentioned that there were no problems other than the cover to the computer. They order the cover and it will be paid for by the warranty. So dont ever under any circumstance is take your car there unless you feel like getting a good raping!!!!

Went in to get snow tires mounted and balanced shortly after they opened this morning only to be told to make an appointment for later that afternoon. Show up before about 5 minutes before appointment again to be told they are running behind. Leave the car and tires there thinking maybe it will be a hour, its Sunday a storm is in forecast trying to be positive. Finally ten minutes before close we go to pick up the car and it hasnt been touched, whats the point of an appointment if youre not going to hold the time. So after 3 visits 4.5 hours of them with my car, if you go to this location stay the first time wait in line with your car. We were the last ones out the door, mind you appointment, and a ten dollar discount. Lessons learned.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SAFETY/EMISSIONS! EXTREMELY STRICT. I chose this place because I had a coupon (famous last words). First time I went down and turns out that their emissions guy is off on Thursdays so I had to come back the next day. They failed me on a number of problems that other mechanics later told me were fine: Told me I had a gas leak in my system but couldnt tell me where (without paying $150 for diagnoses), just that it smelled. They told me my engine mount was bad and it was fine. They told me my wheel was slightly bent...? They failed me for not having a part that didnt even originally come on that model. They inspected my car for over an hour! All of these things have passed three other inspections before and after.

We took our car to the Sandy Firestone for a flat tire. After a very long wait we were told it was un-repairable. They then sent us to the West Jordan store for a new tire (since it wasnt in stock at the Sandy store), and after a very long wait there they told us we needed four new tires since you cant just replace one. After over three hours at the two Firestone stores we left and went to Discount Tire where they were able to repair the tire. For free. Quickly. Should have gone to Discount Tire first!! After I submitted a complaint on the Firestone website the manager did call and apologize. Nothing was done to make up for all the time lost.
