Mike and the team at Draper Hillside will absolutely take care of you. It is rare that I would be willing to post a recommendation for anyone let alone a mechanic. I have been using Draper Hillside for many years now. Their service has consistently gone above and beyond my expectations. Draper Hillside Tire will save you money. Beyond the coupons and the oil change deals that they consistently have, I have brought my cars, to them with problems the dealership wouldnt solve. The management and mechanics have been upfront when they encounter a problem that they are not the best equipped to solve. I have brought several of my cars in to identify a noise or fix an obscure problem. Many times they will diagnose my problems for little to nothing. They have taken the time to take test rides with me when I have a problem that I cant easily explain. Draper Hillside Tire will be honest with you. I recently brought my car in for a noisy muffler / heat shield. They told me that they could fix it and that they knew what the problem was, but that their solution would cost me more than solving the problem a smarter way. Strange how telling me to go somewhere else made me want to keep coming to Hillside Tire. Draper Hillside Tire will point you to a trusted source when they cant solve the problem the most effective way possible for you. In the example above they clearly identified mechanics that they would trust to do specialized work. Draper Hillside Tire will take the time to explain things to you. I am fairly mechanically savvy, but I still have a lack of car know-how. They have taken the time to explain to me and/or my wife with pictures/drawings and on occasion taking me to see the problem with my vehicle first hand. They have never been condescending or patronizing despite my ignorance. Draper Hillside Tire will take responsibility for their work. I have had a consistent problem with a certain belt due to a dealer installed supercharger. Hillside tire has looked at innovative solutions to fix the problem that the dealerships only solution is to uninstall the supercharger. When the original solution didnt work, they were happy to take a second look to make me happy. We have a solution now that fixes the problem and lets me keep my supercharger. Draper Hillside Tire takes care of the little things too. I have brought my cars in multiple times with a flat tire or a slowly leaking one. They took the time to fix a corroding rim prior to a road trip and subsequently identified another tire problem and promptly fixed both before I had time to even get home from dropping the vehicle off. They saved me a bunch on a problem I thought was going to cost me new wheels at least. Admittedly, I have taken my car in to an alternate mechanic for a second opinion on some of the more major repairs. However, I have always come back to Draper Hillside Tire. On one occasion they matched the estimate I was given at the competitor and saved me money by keeping the repair close to home rather than several miles away. On another occasion I took the car in to a neighbors mechanic, a competitor, and they simply charged me for the diagnosis, told me what they thought the problem was and then estimated a grossly more expensive cost to fix it. Ultimately, what they thought was the problem wasnt the problem and their solution simply would have cost me more to fix nothing. Ultimately, I would look no further than your local Draper Hillside Tire. Mike and his team will treat you fairly, honestly and with respect. They will work to save you money and make you a raving fan like I am. I know that I am not alone as I regularly see my neighbors there too.

These guys have saved me so much time and trouble. I got tires from them after dealing with issues from Costco tire and having to go through all this hassle to get a warranty refund. There I felt like they were trying to force me to buy new tires early - I kept getting different stories. Then I came to Hillside to check pricing and they were not only less expensive but they were quick and professional and I didnt feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. They were awesome. My family has used Hillside Tire in Cottonwood Heights for twenty years, so Im so glad that they have this Draper location so I have easy access to the same great service! To top it all off, a couple weeks ago I ran over something and could hear my tire going flat. I tried to make it to Hillside before it went completely flat but no luck - I made it to the Panda Express across the street. I called and they sent a guy over to help me put my spare tire on, and then were able to fix the tire. (I was worried again that theyd try to get me to buy a new tire - again, not from my experience with them, but from experiences with other tire shops) but they fixed it and sent me on my way! Seriously. I will never go to another tire shop. Also - Ive used their oil maintenance and other services and theyre awesome! I cant say enough good things about this place.

Shady! I went in for a I/M and safety inspection. They told me it would take about 45mins. I went to lunch and when I returned an hour later the car was untouched. They had allowed a tow truck to park behind me and they told me they couldnt get to it with the tow truck behind it! They were all standing around talking and not doing a dang thing. They could have simply moved the car (Still had plenty of room behind to pull it out) or had the tow truck move forward. Despite the car somehow not moving from where I pulled in, miraculously somehow they still "knew" I needed new struts for the car. Maybe they had a Ouija board in the back with the cars spirit speaking to them? Randy the manager quoted me almost 600$. Wow. I would never have this shop do anything to my car again. I told them to give me my keys and left. Buyer beware of shady business here. Note to the managers/owners- If you try and start another account to get rid of these reviews I will post my story again and again. Shady.

Understandably, you can get tires anywhere. But when it comes to quoting a timeframe, youll need to be prepared for 3 times the amount. Shocked to find that even trying to get an alignment same day as getting tires couldnt be done because the wires were chewed through by rodents.(?) I was then told that I would get a call back when it was repaired. Drove by few days later to find that their alignment machine was running, but no phone call. Stop in next day, and waiting for almost 1.5 hours with the car never being moved from the parking lot. Who does engine work on the alignment rack when there are open bays and a (already) paid customer is waiting patiently. Im upset in having to wait so long for work to be done. What can this company do to help get work to be completed in a fashionably reasonable timeframe? Id be happy in getting an apology, if it meant youre able to provide a better service.
