I will be taking my child out of this daycare because they did a rate increase of more than 15% in 1 year of being with the daycare for his age group (on average in Utah a rate increase is under 8% for a center based childcare facility over a 2 year period for 3 year olds). They do not teach Spanish in the preschool curriculum, yet charge more than 5 other daycare facilities in the area (one of which teaches Spanish and English in preschool). Im sad to leave because the teachers and staff have been great, but I think jumping a rate $80/month for one child, and being more expensive than other day cares in the West Valley/Taylorsville area (based on demographic population income) is greedy. I could understand if the preschool offered more (early education accredited, even early childhood education certificates for the teachers) but Small Worlds curriculum is comparable to the next daycare "preschool" facility and is not worth paying 10% more than other daycare/preschools in the area. I think the owner should reconsider charging as much considering the income of the area. I love this daycare. Margo is am amazing teacher and my son loves her! Miss Christine, and Miss Bryce are super nice too. The other teachers are great too. My only complaints are the parking lot is pretty small (and cost). But other than that it is a great place that I feel safe taking my child to.

My daughter has been going to Small World for over a year. When we had a problem with a child being mean to her I talked with the staff and they handled it promptly. My 4yr old loves her teachers and the staff. I like that its not always the same thing every day and that tv is not a daily thing. Its once a month for her age group. I love that there is a schedule so I know whats going on and what my daughter is doing while there. She will be going to the prekindergarten class in the fall and the private kindergarten as well. They keep the kids in with their grade level which I love. Issues are always communicated. There are also family fun activities about quarterly. Ive also skimmed through the other reviews...I pay attention to the other kids and have never seen snotty nose kids (even in the little kids classes) its not dirty ever (my daughter is very picky on clean toilets), issues get resolved when brought to attention and sometimes before. The teachers dont let the kids walk over them which I admire. Its a little pricey but Im happy to pay for it knowing they are taking care of my daughter the way I like.

I started taking my then 1 year old in 2008. He is now 8 and still goes to Small World as a "grader" for their after school program as well as their summer camp. I also have a 4 year old, 3 year old and an 8 month old that attend and have been there since they were 6 weeks old. I love the center and the comfort my kids feel when they are there. I love the staff and love that I can communicate with them about my children. They have planned out curriculum so I know what my kids are learning about and my kids always come home signing or come with art projects. They truly have become like family and I know that my kids are in a safe and learning environment. I have and would continue to recommend Small World to anyone that has child care needs.

my family hasnt been at small world long, but we like it so far. this was our first time in daycare so we didnt know where to start. my daughter never needed daycare, but my grandkids do so i was trying to help my daughter. it seemed really hard at first but the girl at the desk made it easy. my grandkids like it because their teachers give them hugs. it looks like they love them a lot. this place has the biggest playground out of the ones we saw. there isnt much on the playgound so i wish they built more out there but its nice to have so much space to run around. especially my grandkids. thank you west valley

My son has been here for over a year now. He transitioned from the 1s to the 2s. I loved the 1s. At first, I was concerned with the number of times his teachers would change, then for several months they were the same ones which makes me feel comfortable. Now that he is in the 2s there are 2 ladies in there and if one is out at least one is always there. I have had a few concerns over the course of him attending, but whenever I bring them up, Lisa is right on top of it as is Miss Maxine. I really am happy here. If I cant be with my son then at least I am comfortable knowing he is there.

After searching for a clean, happy, healthy, willing to work with us on potty training, cost efficent preschool Small World was our choice. I literally went from east to west, north to south in the Salt Lake valley looking for a facility that would work with our work schedules and sons needs. This preschool always goes above and beyond. The teachers are amazing and my sons begs me to take him there EVEN on my days OFF!!! I am so glad Small World is here for us! Thank you guys! You are AMAZING!!

My two yr old wasnt very fond on people and he was a very big mamas boy. Since he has been at daycare he is ore open and not as attach at the hip. He is very smart and he already knows the ABCs! My Daughter who is 4 just loves going there and gets excited every morning to come in. Her speech which was below normal has improved a lot and she talks none stop about the teachers there. It a great place and very affordable for a single mom.

If I could rate this daycare higher than 5, I would! I have 2 kids, the oldest (almost 4) has been there since 2011, and the youngest (16 months) since he was 2 months old. Everyone there is so attentive and caring, its like leaving them with family. I know they are safe and loved! My oldest refers to his teacher as "his Miss Liza", he loves her so much! I seriously couldnt be happier with our choice in child care!

My daughter has been coming to this daycare since she was 2, now she is 5. They take her to school and pick her up. She has made so many friends and has loved all her teachers she has had. She did the pre school program here and she is one of the top kids in her kindergarten class. I have and will continue to refer people tho this daycare they are awesome. The whole staff is great and I know she is in good hands.
