Surprising to see the other reviews. Ive dealt with Steinhorst twice in early 2011, and both times were excellent. First, was about installing a new dishwasher, and received very informative and patient answers, in fact they didnt get business because of the honest answers. However, later in the year my rental unit had a dishwasher problem (pure coincidence between the problem-types) I contacted Steinhorst and had another informative conversation. After I provided my tenants contact information, Steinhorst took the situation from there, and handled it perfectly. They contacted my tenant, arranged a time for the repair, were punctual and professional, then got back with me to complete the transaction and provide a receipt. It was such a relief to not have to chase anyone down to get the job done -- my experience with other contractor is usually the opposite. Price-wise, they seemed reasonable considering they had to update the dishwasher drain-configuration to complete the repair. I would recommend them, and plan to use their services again.

So helpful and professional. I called Steinhorst this morning with a plumbing emergency after the first plumber that I called said that he did not fix/work on the type of shower problem that I had. At nine months pregnant, dealing with house plumbing problems was not what I wanted to do right now. Luckily, Steinhorst came out very quickly-first to shut off our main water, and then as soon as they were available after finishing another job, Thomas and Michael came to the rescue. They not only fixed my shower but also made the main shut off much more accessible. They will be coming out again soon to make further improvements to our shower. So glad that I called Steinhorst. Thank you!!

I highly recommend Steinhorst Plumbing. My family has used them for years, and for good reason. Their employees are professional and courteous, service is prompt, they have access to what you need and their prices are excellent. We have used them for multiple jobs and have been very happy with the outcome every time. They provide useful information on maintenance, and offer options for every budget when appropriate. After the job is done, they give the area they worked in the white glove treatment and leave our home looking even better than it did before they came. Local friends and neighbors have also been very pleased with their service.

I think the price is way too high and we were a repeat customer. Will not be a repeat customer any longer if this is this "discounted" price we recieve. The repair took about an hour and all he did was changed two pipes and use a professional snake. Avoid this place!! I have some other plumbing job at my rental property and I was thinking of using this place for it, but they have lost more business because of there outrageous high prices.

The 2-person crew, headed by Edwin, was fantastic. They arrived on time, were very professional, and I felt comfortable trusting them in my home. Edwin was delightful and a true jack-of-all trades. He ably did all the demolition, drywall and fixture installation, tile work, electrical work, and plumbing (except for the drain replacements, which were handled by master plumber Joe). Mr. Lee, a supervisor, was also helpful when needed.

They had a large selection of products to view and spent countless hours going over all the different choices, from cabinetry, to toilets, to countertops, to light fixtures, to tile, to grout, etc. We had many questions, and they were infinitely patient. They made sure all the items we’d ordered had been received by them before they started our job, and the job was completed in a timely fashion, as agreed.

Susan and Craig, the owners, could not have been more friendly and helpful in that respect. They worked closely with us in recommending products and design, and we finally came up with something to make us happy, within our budget!

My husband called and got a quote for an electric outlet at $163 and when the tech showed at the house he wanted to charge $230. When I question the charge he dropped the price to $170. I couldnt get a hold of my husband to confirm the quoted price so had tech start job. He wasnt in my house more than 15 minutes and when my husband called back the quote was $129. I will never use this company again.

They repaired a toilet just 6 months ago and charged me a ridiculously large amount, almost $300 and I have another problem with the same toilet and their story is the problem now is a different part. If one pays that much money for a toilet repair, there should be NO PTOBLEMS with that toilet in 6 months, certainly not one that they want to charge for again. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

I called them to get an estimate. The guy on the phone was rude and made fun of me when I asked if they could give an estimate over phone. He said it could cost anywhere from 1 dollar to 1 million dollars sarcastically and hung up. Is this how they treat their customers?
