Where do I start? I took my car to A-one on January 28th , I left it there and called USAA because rodents chewed up some parts. He stated that ok he can fix it. during this process we have to wait on the adjuster. He is calling me asking me when he is coming(impatience) The adjuster showed up approved the work. a few says later He tells me that my car is ready. I go pick up my car up. Well the next day I look under the hood and discovered that he half did the job that he was paid to do. m y husband and I go back over to his shop, he was like ok I will fix it. (he took pictures) I informed him to submit a supplemental to USAA, well we waited no supplemental was submitted. So I called him and he stated he was waiting on a part. few more days went by I called him back he then ignored my calls, so I called from my home phone he answered when he heard it was me he hung up I called back no answer. My husband went back over there spoke with him he stated ok send me the pictures(mind you he already had pictures from day 1) I sent the pictures, no response from the text message with pictures, I called him again phone calls were ignored. So now USAA is tyring to contact him they left messages he did not return their calls either. So Mr. Pak was paid over 700 dollars for work that he stated on the estimate record was complete but in fact was not. Today is March 2nd, I still have not heard 1 word from him... I took my van to Bill Page Honda and it took 2 days to complete. I had to be inconvenience again by getting a rental. I will never ever go to this shop again. He did not even had the common decency to be honest with me about the work he did and he cheated me and USAA out of money. When ever I did call him or went by there he is very quick to say I have been in business 30 years, well if that is true, he needs to act like it. because in all my experiences with automotive business work... this has got to be the worse! Buyer Be ware!!!! I give them 0 stars if I could!

While the guys at A-One seemed to "mean well", they dont necessarily have the highest mechanical knowledge. I took my car there to repair a grinding noise twice times. The first time they could not determine the problem and said to bring it back when it got louder. The second time it was louder and they were convinced we just needed to replace the brakes. After replacing the brakes they said the noise was gone but after picking it up, it was apparent they didnt even recognize the noise in the first place because it was louder than ever. Then another mechanic admitted that the brakes should never have been replaced and that he did not know the actual problem but suggested something about the transfer case that he couldnt fix. We took it later to AAMCO, where they identified the problem immediately as a worn engine mount - something much simpler than the transfer case and much less obvious than the brakes. While it was agreeable that A-One only charged us for brake parts after negotiating, we should never have had that repair done in the first place because their recommendation was completely incorrect. If you want a mechanic to analyze and fix your mechanical problems, take it to AAMCO, not to this little garage.

This is by far the worst auto clinic i have ever seen. My parents brought their vehicle in from out of town and unfortunately have been stuck here for the past few days. They were hoping for a quick repair and mentioned that they needed to leave the next morning. The owner quoted that they would be finished with the vehicle Thursday morning however later provided an extended date of when the vehicle would be ready. Now going into Saturday and a missed Anniversary weekend, they are still here in DC with an unrepaired vehicle and incompetent workers that lie about the hours put in on the vehicle. I would NOT recommend this location to service my vehicle. The repairs are at almost 1000 for a clutch replacement which in southern VA only cost about 200. The service is horrible, the owner is never there to follow up with customers and the completion dates on the vehicles consistently change. I am also beginning to think that this location is not "race" friendly. Im noticing a great deal of positive remarks from others however I have experience unsatisfactory service while dealing with the individuals that work here.

Back in 2002-04, we took our 2000 Honda Accord and our 1978 Mercedes to this shop and were happy with their honesty and prices. On one occasion, we went to another dealer for our Honda, we ended back at A-One and they were better able to diagnosing the problem. On another occasion when they mis-diagnosed a problem and we got a second opinion from another Arlnigton shop (who fixed it) A-One reimbursed us (all/some? I forget) for the expenses. That takes character and a good business sense, imo. I do recall there being a lead mechanic (the owner? I forget) that had to mentor some of their newer mechanics (we all have to start somewhere), but they were always fair and I felt comfortable with the owner overseeing their work. We were never charged for work that was not done nor quoted work that we didnt feel was necessary. But then again, weve always practiced preventative maintenance for our family vehicles... and that does cost a little extra. So perhaps some of what people see as "cons" involve different styles/attitudes of how to maintain a car... (?) Just my .02

I got a recommended tuneup for my honda accord which set me back around $400. When I looked at the itemized bill i was shocked because they just performed basic services (oil change, fluid flush, etc.) I called the next day and priced out these services a la carte and they quoted me $120 total for the same work that was done on my car. During that time he also recommended that I get my timing belt replaced and quoted me around $600. Being that he just worked on my car, and the claim that theyre foreign car specialists, he shouldve known that my model car no longer has a timing belt (it has a timing CHAIN that does not need to be replaced).

I took my very first car, a 1982 Honda Accord, to them in 1992. they have always been honest, they have always been fair! I love them!! Their prices are always upfront and they are very family orientated. Once I had to put my car and truck in the shop at the same time and couldnt afford to fix the necessary stuff on one vehicle - They allowed me to pay them later when I got paid. How awesome is that?!?!! when have you EVER heard of a mechanic shop doing that. If you say that these guys are bad then something is wrong with you!!! This shop is the best!!!

They did a great job. They said they would call an hour after we dropped off the car to tell us what was wrong - they did. We asked for details and a quote on a tune-up at the same time it was getting repaired too. He looked up the information for the car called us back and gave us a list and a quote. Both the repair and tune-up were done the next day. We picked up the car and paid what wed been quoted. Nice people, and so far it seems like quality work. I was surprised they didnt knock out the empty wasps nest wed found in the engine though.
