1. After doing some reflective journaling, it is was quite easy for me to conclude that K & G Auto Repair & Detailing is the most reputable auto establishment I have experienced. Comparatively speaking, in all my auto service experiences, I have never received the quality-service that K & G has given me. Here is why. I have known Kostas the owner; Aziz the manager, and Mike, the ultimate auto detail specialist, for several years. In part, my repeat business has a lot to do with their service attitude; customer-focus; respect; trustworthiness; competence; dependability; loyalty; sincerity; commitment; attention-to-detail, and above all the honesty with the service they provide and their pricing structure. Kostas has been servicing my Blue 2000, and Black 1985, BMWs since 2006, the consistent level of respect, trust and commitment to quality service that he provides is beyond compare. Since making our acquaintance, Kostas has never jeopardized our mutual respect, trust or friendship. What has impressed me most however, about Kostas, is his impeccable ability to diagnose the problem, provide an honest estimate for the repair needed, confidently and competently [execute] and repair the problem, and do the job right the first time and in the time and on the date agreed upon. Of course, I would be remiss if I did not mention his level of meticulousness. I have never seen an auto technician as neat, organized and particular not only about the appearance of his person, but about the work equipment, quality of work and work establishment as Kostas. This to me and others like me is priceless, especially sense I, too, suffer from similar compulsions. Kostas is the ultimate auto technician consultant; he clearly understands his customer-base and their auto wants and needs. He is by far the best auto consultant who has serviced my cars by far. Kostas is the consummate professional in every sense of the word (true to form). Notably, however, I must also pay tribute to Aziz; the manager of this remarkable establishment for referring me to Kostas. One day after listening actively to my auto wants and needs, he expertly recommended me to the enviable services of Kostas. He stated that once Kostas started working on my vehicles, that I would not allow any one else to service my cars again! He was correct. And, then there is the auto detailing aficionado Mike. Mike has been detailing my cars since 2004. I think I am one of very few customers who is actually allowed to get in close, sit and watch Mike, work his craft to an exact art and science providing an enviable level of service second to none. K & G Auto Repair & Detailing is one of the most proficient five star plus [+] auto establishments in Alexandria, VA.

I was referred to Kostas 15 years ago, at a time he was working in a different auto repair shop. I needed to have some serious repair work done on my 94 Accura Integra back then, and I had done my research with the dealer and other repair shops in the DC area before I went to the shop Kostas was working. Immediately I was impressed by the personalized and expert advice I received from him, so I decided to have him do the work. He took personal care, delivered on time, and in the process he saved me a few hundred dollars. Since then, I have been going to him for everything. I also began to get to know him and learned about his work experiences. He started working on cars in Greece at a very young age. Then he moved to Germany where he received formal training and work experience. Finally he moved to the DC area and started his family. His personal drive for exceptional customer service led him to open his own business, K&G Autorepair in Alexandria, near Rt. 1. (Actually, I left for Europe for 3 years, and when I came back I looked for Kostas in his previous work place, and found out that he had opened his own business, so naturally I found him, and my wife and I started to take our cars there.) Kostas, the owner, and Aziz, the manager, are always there to welcome you to the reception area, which looks like that of a hotel! The shop area is so clean and organized, its ridiculous! I have never seen anything like this anywhere else. Kostas and Aziz are passionate about order, cleaningless, and customer case and satisfaction. They also employ trained mechanics who buy in to this philisophy.We go there for everything, from routine oil changes to more serious engine pair and body detailing work. We always get personalized service by either Kostas, Aziz, or any of their mechanics. And their prices are very competitive. They are also able to find great deals on auto parts, which results in additional savings to the customers. As a side note, Kostas is very active in the community and generously gives back in the area where he lives and works. And you will not find more polite people and better professionals than Kostas and Aziz. As we are about to relocate to Houston TX, we will miss the friendly, skillful, and professional service of K&G Autorepair. They are the best!

I am pleased to write this performance review for K & G Auto Repair and Detailing because the superior service they have provided consistently warrants it. I am such a satisfied customer, that I want every potential client to be aware of this companys unrivaled level of competence and knowledge. The owner, Mr. Kostas Liatsos, possesses an incredible knowledge base about practically any kind of vehicle, including BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Infinity, Lexus, Acura, Nissan, and Jaguar, but it is worth noting that his entire team of auto repair technicians and detailing specialists are top-notch professionals. For the eleven plus years that Ive had my cars (325e, 528i, and 550i) serviced at K& G, Mr. Liatsos and his team have never provided me with anything less than “show floor” results. I am a very meticulous person by nature, both demanding of myself and others. At times, I can even be fastidious about my person, my image, reputation, character, and about my cars. K & G Auto Repair and Detailing is the kind of one-stop-shop that understands my needs, because its team operates with the same level of attention to detail that I expect from myself and others. It is an extremely proficient shop with all the right resources and capabilities to cater to any kind of auto need. For this reason, and so many others, K&G has a competitive edge. It is truly a “first-rate” shop. In my opinion, it is rated in the top one percent of all automobile shops in the Northern Virginia area. This is due, in no small part, to the top-notch business model in place. It is anchored by core values and demonstrated principles to sustain it now, and in the future as well. It is without reservation that I recommend you give them a call and schedule an appointment next time you need your vehicle serviced. K&G is truly a breath of fresh air. My wifes 2007 Honda Fit needed new front breaks. The tell tale screech had begun and at what point? I am not sure.... it could have been months... On my first attempt to have them replaced I had the local tire shop take a look when they were changing a tire. The call back was 650 bucks for new Pads, Calipers and Routers plus labor. I found this to be excessive and told them I would take care of it at another time. BOY am I glad that I didnt have them suck away my hard earned money. I looked around on the net for reviews and asked around and all I heard was one horror story after another about local garages. Especially the ones we Virginians know all too well that tell you that your headlights need to be adjusted to get your safety inspection... Plus the fact that anything they touch they want to replace EVERY thing that is connected to it... I would like to send an honest Thank You to the guys at K&G for the work 150 (they have a 30 dollar coupon for front brakes btw, I didnt even use it) that it took to replace the pads on my wifes front breaks. Kostas, the owner and head mechanic called me and told me that the routers were fine and the calipers are in good shape. I hadnt even told him about my previous experience due to my lack of trust in the auto mechanic industry in general. Not only did I get fantastic customer service, I was greeted at the door with a smile and offered a ride home while my Wifes car was being worked on... Thats right.. THEY GAVE ME A RIDE HOME! I live less than 2 miles away, but I believe they will pick you up and drop off up to 3 miles. A HUGE differentiator in this area when everyone is up against the hustle and bustle of the DC Metro life. Oh hey, also... I got a 400 dollar details job. Outside and IN for 200 bucks... And man does it look GOOD! Thanks guys and if anyone asks where to take their car I will only give them your Name and Number.
