Terrible, will never take my car here again. First time I got my car inspected there, the mechanic doing the inspection started out by rudely remarking how he did not like the make of my car. Then, he failed my car for having my headlights "aligned too high." This is obviously a scam, as he said he would charge me $15 to align them and $1 for a reinspection (which is conveniently the price of the inspection in the first place). He hopes people will avoid the inconvenience of returning and will just give in to the scam. That was a year ago. This year, I was stuck taking my vehicle back to the same place (they were the only place in the area available for inspection). I start out by being forced to wait in my car in parking lot (unlike reputable shops where they simply take your keys and phone number so you can return later) while the inspection guy and another mechanic talk with each other in the garage. When they are done with their conversation, they inspect my car, and what a surprise - another failed inspection for misaligned headlights. This time, I do not want to waste my time (exactly what they were hoping for) and tell them to align and re-inspect immediately. The mechanic tells me that he cannot re-inspect today, as he his time ends at 2:00 (in 15 minutes). He cannot take the 5 minutes to re-inspect and save me the hassle of returning in the morning before work, all the while driving around with a rejected inspection sticker. Never take your car here, there are much better places in the area. I have never been treated as rudely as I have at Lee Auto Clinic, not to mention the attempted scams.

Went here for a state inspection. The guy told me my right rear light was not working, and said it would cost "$10-15" to change a bulb. I said no thanks Ill do it myself. Got charged the full amount of $16 for a failed inspection. I went down the street to buy a replacement bulb, only to find out when I opened the rear compartment to check the model of the bulb, it was unplugged! I went back and brought this to their attention, and he quickly said "Ill charge you $1 for inspection." Im not saying he unplugged my bulb, but the fact that he spent 3 minutes to check my car, told me that it would clost me $15 to fix a bulb, and offered to do a RIGHT inspection for $1 afterwards, has me thinking this guy was out to rip me off from the get go...I said no thanks, Id rather give an honest place another $16 instead of giving him an additional $1. Never going to this place again. Seems like reading the previous entries, that this places loves to scam people with "light problems" seeing this many entries, Im probably going to report it to BBB.

I have been taking my cars to Lee Auto Center for over 7 years now, both for Emissions and Safety inspections, and for maintenance/issues. I have seen management change but I still take my cars there because the mechanics are honest, and the service is fast. Sure the location and facilities are A+, but Im not going to a mechanic for a plush lobby, Im going there to get my car fixed for the best price available. Ive found that Lee Auto has an extremely fair price for their services, and they have been open and honest with their recommendations. Sometimes, that even means not doing services that other garages might push on you. For the inspections, you have to wait in line in the car, but that is because their parking lot is small with a limited number of spaces available. Ive never had a problem with any of their inspection personnel. In the end, it is the garage I trust the most.

I took my car there and they kept it for 3 days. Said there was this problem, that problem and the other. Almost $1,500 later, I took the car home. The symptoms were back within a week and 1/2. Called them and they said, bring it here for more testings. They kept the car for 1 entire week. Then said they could not figure out the problem. I said "could it be a battery related issue? Sounds like it could be." The boy Nick said, "absolutely not. We tested and retested the battery. That is not it." I took the car to the dealer (where I should have taken in the first place) and they told me within 3 hours that the battery needed to be replaced... it coasted $300. The care has been great and I have had no other issues since. I could have saved $1,500 if I had never set foot at Lee Auto Center!! Its pathetic!!

Not only was the work VERY poor that was done to my vehicle but these guys were rude, rude, RUDE to customers. As I sat and waited in their waiting area, it was easy to hear them (the room is small) when they would duck around the corner and discuss their charges. I even heard the one man say "well just charge him and say we did it" ....I was disgusted by this and if my car was not already being worked on I would have left. These guys proceeded to ask a customer if they "understood English" when the customer asked for clarification on their bill and another worker said "Im not your slave" when a customer asked if the work was done a certain way. I will NOT by any means go to this place again and will tell everyone how sketchy these guys did business.

Stopped for an inspection. My headlight was too low. The inspector said he would charge me $55 to adjust my light. He took out some car cleaner and wiped the lens for 5 seconds...then the inspector then tried to charge me .HE.MADE NO ADJUSTMENTS to the LIGHT. I was standing right there..... Yes, I failed inspection, and "yes" the inspector took advantage of me because I am a young, single mom. I asked the manager to take the $55 off my bill--which he did....but, on my way out the door the Inspector grabbed me and said he would get his $55 when I had to come back for the re-inspect........ DO NOT EVER GO TO LEEs AUTOMOTIVE......

Brought my car in for safety & inspection. Inspection Guy asked for my registration and as I was getting it out of my glove compartment he said "Dont you know how it looks like by now . . " with a yelling voice. Asked him to calm down and have some patience he said "I Dont Have Time for This!" Funny enough there was no one behind me. Brought this situation up to the owner and the owner continued to cut me off from telling my story and said "Its Monday!" I understand its a Monday but when you yell at a customer then you are creating your negative environment. This is a place I will never go back again.

I cant believe the negative reviews. Really, these guys are as honest as it gets and both my husband and I have been repeat customers for about 8 years now. They won me over after I got ripped off for $450 for a shoddy repair at the Goodyear further down Lee highway and had to have it redone and fixed by the folks at Lee Auto Center for all of $75, I think. They will go out of their way to explain everything to you and to help you save money on repairs. Having dealt with four separate auto repair shops in the Centreville/Chantilly area, these guys are head and shoulders above the rest. Trust no-one else.
