So let me tell you about my afternoon visit to this gas station on October 31, 2012. I went here because there was no wait, I soon found out why. I went for the VA Safety Inspection sticker. My car failed inspection because of 3 different things. The guy who did the inspection didnt explain clearly what was wrong and when I asked questions, he didnt seem like he even knew what I was talking about. The guy at the register didnt offer to fix right away OR give me an estimate but told me if I got an estimate elsewhere that he MAY be able to beat their price. So I went straight to VA Tire and Auto/Good Year off of Lee Hwy in Centreville where I usually get work done on my car and asked them for an estimate for the repairs the inspector said were needed to pass. The cashier at VA Tire and Auto was saying hes never heard of 2 of the 3 things that were written on the paper (inspection failure paper) and asked if he could have one of his mechanics take a look. His mechanic said that I do have a leaky exhaust, but that was the ONLY thing I would fail for. The other 2 things (having to do with windshield wipers and headlights) were perfectly fine and there was nothing else wrong with my car. Guess who will be doing the repairs on my car? So after leaving VA Tire and Auto VERY livid with the fact of this Sunoco piece of crap repair/inspection shop, I called the cashier who had the audacity to give me his business card and explained what I just found out from VA Tire and Auto. He quickly put the inspector on the phone and I started all over again explaining to him. The only explanation he had was "Your windshield wipers dont turn off easily, I had to jiggle the switch a lot". Funny, when we had that Hurricane Sandy pass through, I drove to and from work and MORE during the storm and they functioned just fine. VA Tire and Auto said they worked just fine. This joker was just an idiot who didnt know how to work them! He claimed he looked in my manual to make sure he was using them right. Funny there was nothing moved around in the glovebox for him to have dug that out, nor was my car back there long enough for him to find these so called "problems" and dig out the manual, look it up in the table of contents and then read it. And when I told them they were working fine, hes like "Well they werent for me". If I had gotten the "repairs" done there, they would have ripped me off and charged for things that they werent even doing. I think its really wrong for a car place to take advantage of females thinking they wont know any better. I will be reporting this and telling this to everyone I know. And all the guy could say was "Im sorry you feel this way". If they were a decent, honest place, they would have told me to bring the car back so they could show me what was wrong and explain it, but obviously they are full of crap since they wanted nothing to do with me. Stay far, far away from these scammers. I will be reporting this inspector AND gas station!!!

One bad experience will prevent me from ever going there. Had recently bought a set of OEM wheels with wider than stock tires, and needed to get one wheel balanced. I had failed to notice (completely my fault) that I had put the directional tires on the wrong way (had the left side on the right, vice versa) and one tire was very slightly rubbing on the control arm. The guy in charge said the mechanic was switching the tires for me, and I asked him if he could repair the rear bearing later in the week. He said he would take a look at it as soon as I put the stock wheels back on to correct the tire rubbing issue, and I conceded. When I went to the register, the guy had charged me $10 to switch the wheels, and he hadnt balanced the wheel. I politely asked if I could bring in the wheel that needed balancing that weekend while I was getting the bearing replaced for a complimentary wheel balancing (since he charged me $10 for the wheel swap I didnt ask for and didnt even balance the wheel - why would he even swap the wheels when I had told him that I would change out the wheels/tires later that evening?). Thinking he would agree since he would already be getting more business out of me, he tries to make me look like an idiot for even asking - told me that it wouldnt do any good since the tires were rubbing. I understood, but wanted to get it balanced in case I was to sell the wheels or buy spacers for my car. Eventually he angrily threw away the $10 charge and went into the garage to rant to his mechanic about the whole conversation. While I acknowledged my own incompetence, being rude to your customers and ranting about them within earshot is very unprofessional. Not only this, but the mechanic didnt even know what I was referring to when I referred to the "225" width tire and also commented on how my newly installed brake rotors had been "spray painted" (which instead is an anti-corrosion coating on high-quality OEM rotors).

I usually go this store for gas and lottery. last Saturday, I went there around 10:00 pm, and I asked cut off time of Powerball, and clerk said 11:00, so I paid $10.00 for Powerball. But I could not get it because the clerk said lottery machine had problems. I had waited around 20 minutes and asked if it worked, and the other clerk said cut off time was 10:00 pm. I was upset and asked $10.00 back, but the clerk keep asking me to purchase Mega Millions. I guess that he knew that I could not purchase Powerball and tried to sell Mega. Today I went this store and claimed $5.00 lottery, purchased a pack of cigarette and $10.00 Mega. I did not receive Mega, but the clerk insisted he gave it to me. at that moment, the store got busy and he ignored me and helped other customer. I tried to remain calm and asked if they could check security camera. it turned out only manager could check it. and the other clerk came and talked to him. later they just tossed Mega and showed his disgusted face. I will go other store even thought it is inconvenience.

Beware of this place. My wife took her vehicle there for state safety inspection. Tim, the lead guy, told her they would have to repair it because the emergency brake wasnt working properly and wouldnt pass inspection. When I picked up the car the charge was $775. While my wife authorized them to fix the parking brake, they replaced the brake shoes, pads, and rotors in addition to the "parking brake shoes", charged 2.5 hours of labor for this job and a total of $775 in order to pass the safety inspection. Stay away, far far away.
