Oh my STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I bought a computer from Best Buy and kept having problems with it. Then, it broke about 8 months later. I took it in under warranty, BUT about a week later they called to say, I needed to talk about my options. My options? I just wanted my computer fixed for free, like they said. Well, they said, they conveniently didnt have parts any longer and was going to junk my computer. I said, I needed my hard drive, in which they refused to give to me. So they held my computer and its hard drive hostage until I paid, 185 dollars. They said, they would give me a new computer, in which they pick out. They said, if they gave me my old computer back, they would revoke my deal (which I paid extra for) to get an exchange computer. They are horrible. It was a nightmare. Now, after two months, the new computer is having problems. I took it in and they said, it would cost me 150 to diagnose it. Rude on top of it! They suck!

So, I took my computer in for them to get the data off. I brought in my external hard drive for them to transfer the stuff to. They call me and tell me my external hard drive wont work. That has 11 years of photos on and they want me to pay $1500 to TRY to recover the data from it. Why is it my responsibility to do that when it worked before I took it to them??? Serious? i am beyond livid and this is not the first issue Ive had with them. It will be my last because I am DONE! I am contacting as many people as I can to spread the word, so that you wont be stuck like me. Bye to all of the photos Ive ever taken of all 4 of my kids. Thank you scam squad!

We recently experienced the extremely poor service group at Staples-- The Geek squad is on the other (good) end of the spectrum. Another reason we buy computer gear from Best Buy.
