I had an absolutely terrible experience here. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I brought a broken MacBook Air in to have the logic board replaced; the quote over the phone was in the $280 range - fair enough. I bring it in and leave it there, to be called a week later and find out that to replace the piece, with labor would be about $400. A guy that called me, who I assume was the owner...Rather than encourage me to try to fix the computer I brought in, he offered me a MacBook Pro he had at the shop that "a former employee" allegedly sold him. He even rambled on about how this employee has bought it for a girlfriend who he broke up with, got the comp back, and was "a PC guy, so sold [me] the mac" - what a crock!! He offered me the computer for $375, told me all about how it was better than the one I brought in, emphasized some Retina screen BS, etc. He sweetened the deal by telling me I seemed like a "normal person" and could take the proposed computer home to try for myself. I consulted a few friends more versed in tech than I am and they all encourages me to consider the Mac he was offering to sell me. So, I went to the shop (left mine there) and took the one home to try. The deal seemed too sweet, so I though I ought to take it to Apple for a second opinion, to see if there was anything funky going on. Sure enough, there was! Diagnostically, all seemed ok, but it was a mess under the hood and the Genius Bar tech advised me it would only be a matter of time before the machine would die. There was a ton of corrosion and water damage, the antenna cover for the wifi card was completely missing, it had a random third party battery in it, and the screws were all put in wrong. The tech looked up the AppleCare history and it turns out it had been brought in for water damage in 2015 by a person named "Abdullah" something. Hmmm, interesting. Doesnt quite align with the girlfriend story, does it? Livid, I bring the computer back to Fix My PC that day; I dealt with a young man there who I will say was quite professional and pleasant (he should really do himself a favor though and disassociate himself from this sh*thole!)... he claimed he was unaware that the computer had all those things going on (which I do believe. The kid is probably 22 years old, in school or something), however I have absolutely no doubt that the scam artist of an owner knew exactly what he was doing when he tried to trade me the computer. I aired my grievances to the young kid who said he would shared them with the owner; I gave him the opportunity to *try* to rectify this, at the very least to call and try to explain himself, but even more, to refund me the $40 deposit I put down when I left my computer - nothing. It took me calling back 3 days later to find out there was "nothing they could do." What a JOKE of a business!! Be weary! The owner was very convincing and sounded like a decent guy over the phone. WRONG! Also, be aware; they offer a discount if you agree to leave a positive review online. I cant imagine how this place could get any positive feedback otherwise. Be careful going here!!! Thankfully I trusted my gut and had the wits to go to Apple - otherwise I would have been a victim of fraud. I am not one to complain, or even really take time to write these reviews (I usually make fun of those "dear diary" types), but I think its imperative that others dont get swindled like I almost did. Terrible, terrible, terrible business. Should be shut down.

This place saved my daughters IPAD!!! Please note, I originally I took my ipad to a rival across town, in Pittsford, no less. The sound on my IPAD 3 was not working. After almost 2 weeks, the place which will remain nameless but is located in the Village of Pittsford called me to tell me that they were unable to fix my IPAD. Please keep in mind that when I dropped it off the only thing that didnt work was the sound. When I picked it up, not only was the sound not fixed but my power and volume buttons no longer worked either. After debating options of just cutting my loses and scraping the IPAD now with 3 issues instead of my original 1 issue, I took my IPAD to Rochester Fix My PC. After speaking with the owner and telling him of my situation they accepted my ipad cautiously not knowing what kind of damage the original place I took my ipad to, did to it. Best way I can describe Rochester Fix My PC is... good things come to those that wait. Did they turn my IPAD around to me right away, no. It took a little longer than I would of liked, but after a month, I received a call to pick up my IPAD. Not only did they fix my original sound issue but also fixed the two issues the previous computer place caused. Im super happy with the results. The end cost of fixing the IPAD cost me less than I would of had to shell out, had I sold my broken IPAD and bought a replacement. I highly recommend Rochester Fix My PC. Like I said, they may take a while but they fix it RIGHT.

AWFUL experience. DISGUSTED in the way everything was handled. NEVER going back. I left there picking my tv in tears, not because it wasnt fixed but because I was treated so terribly. 1. Was told my "easy salder job" for my coaxing cable could be done in one/two hours.. two hours later its not done.. another two hours. I chose to come back another day, not impressed but not the end of the world. Picked up the tv, no extra charge because of the mess up - great I appriciate it. 2. Go to watch tv, cant pick up any channels no matter what reset or search. Called them the next day, "that doesnt sound right but can you bring it in" ..not a problem, theyre willing to fix it. 3. After dropping it off with them the tech called.. The entire main board suddenly is bad, we need $104+tax to "hopefully" fix it. Or I can just watch the tv as it is "nobody uses cables anymore" When I asked more about what is going on with it, I got reemed a new one. The tech continued to SCREAM AND CUSS ME OUT, do I "want the F**ing repair or not bc I dont have time for this BS**" not to mention the insulting involved. Finally once he was done with his fit he acutually helped and gave me another option. Dont know his name besides "the other guy" or "the boss man, he has a temper" Hands down worst experience ever. I expect a excuse, shady respones, blame passed to me as a response bc it has been that way since the beginning. Not buying it.

I am a computer tech. Just recently I goofed up and did not have my battery backup powerful enough to power my rebuilt computer. My Power Supply and Motherboard fried due to not having enough power. Typically you would replace those items. Fix My PC said that they can repair it. I was very skeptical because I dont usually hear of fixing those items, just replacing them. They replaced my Power Supply and fixed the blown capacitor on my Mother Board for a price less than what it would be to replace just the motherboard. I have been going to these guys for years since they were on Lake Ave. Their techs are very knowledgeable! Even a year ago my computer was working for a few months and then not working for a few months. They were able to find out that I goofed up a setting in my BIOS that was causing this. I would have never thought to look there and they found it. I Have been using these guys as second opinions and my last stop option for years and will continue to do so and recommend them. As I am a computer geek and I appreciate these guys being huge computer geeks! They might look a little rough around the edges a bit but I have always been happy with the end results. Anyone reading this should try to avoid Geek Squad. Geek Squad is only allowed to do so little.
