I want to express my sincere gratitude for my experience with this Public Storage location and especially the Property Manager, Rob. I was going to be moving everything out of my 3-bedroom condo into storage while selling my home. I first rented a 8 x 10 unit on the 2nd floor in March. Then when I finally sold my place after a few deals fell through due to financing. It was just me and my boyfriend moving in the entire contents of a 16 foot moving truck into a 2nd floor unit within 2 hours so that we didn’t have to pay an extra day for the moving truck. Amid this stressful move it became apparent that I had dramatically underestimated how much space I would need and how difficult it would be to move couches and mattresses upstairs. I talked to Rob and knowing my extreme financial distress along with my boyfriend I was able to get the $1 special for a large unit 10 x 20 on the first floor that had just become available. I was able to move my furniture into the 1st floor unit and later move the rest of my stuff from the 2nd floor unit to the 1st floor. Another time a plastic water bottle broke and Rob quickly brought up rages and a mop to soak up the water. Another time we needed and electrical extension cord and he made that available to us as well. After about 2 months after moving into the large storage unit when I was able to find an apartment to move into I was approaching the end of the grace period before having to pay the next month’s rent. I talked to Rob and he went to bat for me to give me a special extension until the next morning, a Saturday morning, so that I could move out and only pay the prorated amount for six days instead of another entire month. I believe this was a special exception that cannot be expected, however it really made a huge difference for me since my finances were still very tight. Thank you so much, I would recommend this Public Storage location to anyone who needs storage!

In years past Ive had 3 storage unit at 400 Roosevelt: Great experiences with each one. The Staff: wonderful-- like family!-- I miss seeing them regularly-- they were always so pleasant/helpful/smart-- seemed to really care about their facility!!!! Seemed to sincerely want us folk w/storage units to be safe and happy there as well. Cant say enough good stuff about the place. So well maintained-- Clean! -- and I always felt safe when I was there-- regardless of hours I stopped in. So totally well maintained!... Ill say again- I miss dropping in. I honestly dont think other storage facilities have folks in charge with such an obvious sense of pride in their facility, nor the where-with-all to manage, let alone interest in managing a nice facility, which I always felt when I was at 400 Roosevelt. I always looked forward to dropping by. Such a total caring approach to their jobs/maintenance of the place! I was often disappointed if I managed to slip in and out of the facility w/out running into Rob or his young co-worker. Such nice people! Id rent another unit there in a second if I could only justify the need for one. Thanks for this opportunity to praise the place! (Hope this made sense. Writings not my thing.)

Logged into their website as I moved to Falls Church and had an existing storage unit down in Lorton. Picked out the unit I want got a confirming email with a price of $26 to move in, $1 first month. When I arrived at my appointment time the guy behind the counter says I was not eligible for the one dollar first month. I explained that I had a confirmation email. He made me call customer service. She was unhelpful telling me "normally existing customers are not eligible for promotions". I explained to her that I was logged into the website and received a promotion price. She said she could do nothing for me and gave me the phone number of some district manager guy. Who (of course) did not pick up his phone. And before you ask, no. My phone number, email address nor any of my information changed from when I had existing unit at other location and when I made the reservation. They knew I was an existing customer and tried to screw me for $150 at the desk when I moved in. Shady AF.

I have friends and family who have rented at this Public Storage for years and I know the property well. I have seen the help that Rob provides people and this time I was on the receiving end. He makes renting so streamlined and easy for customers and is always willing to give extra help when possible. I feel safe at the property and I know my way around well. Its not always easy to find helpful sales people in northern Virginia due to the fact that there are so many people everywhere you go, but this Public Storage facility is a reminder that individual managers can and do make a difference in a storage rental decision. Ill probably rent here for quite awhile.

Rob was EXTREMELY helpful and made everything very easy for me. Everything was clear from the start because he is so good at his job. I truly feel like I made the best choice in location and it is all because of him. He showed me more than one storage unit to make sure I would choose the right size and was very clear and concise on everything I was signing. He was even working on his birthday AND called to check in on me to make sure I was happy with the storage unit in addition to everything working properly. I will always recommend this place and ask for Rob!

A friend and I went to this Falls Church Public Storage after admitting to ourselves that our garage and basement couldnt take any more stuff. Rob and Hung in the facility office were great to deal with -- friendly, helpful and courteous. We talked unit sizes and Rob took us to see units that might work for us. When he opened the first door to a unit under a skylight, my friend said this is it! We plan to move in this weekend! Thank you Rob and Hung for your friendly service and help today. We really appreciate your help in getting our lives in order!

I have had my stuff stored here for the past few months. I am finally moving my stuff out. I found out I was moving my stuff 2 days after the official "prorate" date, and the official policy was to bill me for the full month. I called Amanda, the local manager. She contacted the District Mgr and got them to prorate my account, so I can get a good portion of my monthly charge back. THANK YOU AMANDA!!! That is what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If in the future I need to store items, I will definitely consider Public Storage again...

This was the easiest part of moving! Rob was AMAZING! He took his time, explained the process and even gave us the tour of the facility and the unit we were going to lease before we signed anything. This storage facility use to be a warehouse and because of that there is an actual covered loading dock area. This makes moving in and out so much more easier!! If you are looking for a big, clean, spacious storage facility with great customer service, look no more! Rob and his team will make this a stress free experience.
