Be sure to look at the rat feces on the photos posted. Also Sabine, is an employee at this location. There was no mention in this post about giving info out over the phone. She knew this because she was there when Camara was acting unprofessional. The man isnt my husband and she is just another scammer who is Cameras buddy . I would disregard her comments. This place is disgusting. Over priced and the property manager, Camara, has anger issues and cannot control her nasty comments. This young girl, who does not know how to fill out contracts , appears friendly until you are stuck in a contract where you are locked out of your unit, because you cannot make a payment unless you are main account holder. If you are a couple , you cannot pay, access any info unless the main account account holder is there. If you are not on the main account. Although I was given a key , the gate access code all the invoices and calls.I was not considered someone who had full access to account. I started storing in June . I was locked out of the computer system. I was charged after two months $380 or my things would go to auction. They constantly call, but if you try to make the payment they cannot accept it unless your account holder. In five months, I paid $ 804 . This is all the fees . Now if you like stopping in Public Storage to May every month, you will like this place. They are scammers and inconsistent in policy . Along with the rat infestation they have. I have rat feces all over my dishes, chew marks all over my furniture. There are many places to store. Public Storage is awful. Also they have issues with there gate it stays open all the time. Anyone can come cut your lock off with bolt cutters and they have security cameras, although I did not see any in the building. The district manager offered a discount from all of my late fees because she couldnt access her computer. She said she would call me in hour , but did not. She called my significant other several days later and he mentioned what a major problem this payment scam thing is . So she decided to take off the late charges. My original bill with late charges I received on my email was $470 ( rough estimate ) she charged me $306 ( estimate ) not exact amount. So the first payment I paid $380 . No late fees discounts where offered. Camara told me I needed to come in and she needed to draw up a new lease. Of course I had many questions , in regards to why it was drawn up that way? Why cant I make a payment? Ect... She kept cutting me off and like anyone I became very upset. I told her I was going to step outside because her nasty attitude was frustrating. Camara said if I stepped outside she would not move forward with printing out my paperwork. She also told me I was not allowed on the property after I paid $380. I called the district manager and up until she could not even accept a payment I wasnt offered any discount. I am updating because I just spoke to Sarah. Sarah is the district manager. I asked for a refund from the late fees and auction fees and offered to take this post down. Sarah said she really did not care how much I post . I told her she would most likely lose business. Her relpy was that she really did not care. These people really are in business to over charge, and to make money by auctioning your things off. It surprises me that such a slummy facility with a bunch of scammers are in Tysons Corner. My advice to you.... FIND ANOTHER STORAGE UNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I chose Public Storage after its competitors couldnt match certain features - namely climate control. However, I feel there are hidden costs and fees that are not well explained or disclosed. In particular, only on signing the final paperwork, are you told you need to get storage-unit specific insurance that costs a minimum of $11/month. Secondly, when reserving on-line, you cant tell which unit youre reserving and what features it has (or, importantly, might be missing). I saw a unit I liked that had an overhead door, but I reserved online to save $10 per month. But, when I finally saw the unit I reserved, it didnt have an overhead door. Instead, it had two, single doors, making move-in with our large items (treadmill, elliptical machine) really difficult. In addition, between signing the paperwork on my unit and trying to move-in (the next day), they had changed the locks on my unit without my knowledge! I feel as though I got nickel-and-dimed out of $20+ per month. Which is a big deal when youre storing things for months, if not years, at a time. I wish there was more transparency in the final numbers for these units. However, as has been previously stated, its clean, its professionally run, and the hours are good. It seems secure. But you pay for these features.

We have used this facility for many years. Would never have stayed if it werent for Brian and Dorothy, the managers. They are just delightful and so helpful. The facility is kept clean and is accessible when I need it to be. The big negative is the company policy of raising the rates on existing, loyal customers far above what they advertise online. You can always get the lower rate but you have to MOVE your stuff. Thats right, when I was paying almost double of what was being advertised I asked for an adjustment and was told that I could have the lower rate but would need to change units. I did and am now saving a bundle. The company should give these managers a raise because we are there because of them!! Carol

I didnt get a discount that I received with a coupon to my mail. As the guy at the register said I should have confirmed my reservation which I didnt do (it wasnt said I should have). So I had to pay the whole amount. There are 2 buildings. It is absolutely unclear which one is yours. You cannot know it from outside. You have to come inside to figure this out. There is not enough carts to unload your stuff. I had to wait for somebody to get their cart. There are deep dents on the ground right at the entrance, so the wheel of my cart stuck there. I dropped my boxes trying to push it out. The corridors are narrow, its hard to turn the cart around without bumping it to the wall. I expected more.

I misplaced my cell phone today and, since one of the places I had stopped this morning was the Public Storage on Spring Hill, I went back there to see if anyone had found it. Camara and Dottie were very accommodating and helpful. No one had turned in a lost phone, but they suggested that I pull my car around and have them call my phone to see if it was in the car (underneath all the things I had taken out of my storage room). Sure enough, we could hear the phone ringing under all the junk in my car! Since I have just moved, that is my ONLY phone -- it would have been a minor disaster if I had not found it. Thank you, Camara and Dottie, for your friendly and helpful service!!
