I do not recommend storing here! My unit was broken into and my 32"Sony tv and dvd player were stollen. I called the police who were unsympathetic, called the district and regional manager for the facility and got absolutely no where. I also insured my unit with the company the storage facility recommends and my claim was denied because the police reported no signs of forcible entry. Public storage is also in the process of updating the locking mechanisms for the unit doors.. interesting! My unit had the old locking mechanism. Clearly they have an issue with people breaking into lockers. It sounds like an inside job as the district manager had a retort for every flaw I pointed out with my unit. Save yourself the headache and store somewhere honest.

Im very new to writing reviews but due to the service I received from Sharika at the Fairfax office I felt very compelled to writing this one. There are three stages to customer care, first your arrival and how your greeted. Second, the actual service of your needs and what you need to be done. Third and last the completion and final tally of what you had done and if you are satified and need anything else to be done. With that being said Sharika managed to do all three things at a very high quality and impressive way. Shes a great asset to your company and you should very grateful to have a person of her status working for you. I will continue to give my business to Public storage as long as you have employees like her.....

I walked in to Public Storage today to get a storage unit; the gentleman that helped me is called Shah, he was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and he took the time to explain everything to me. He answered all of my questions, and l asked a lot of questions but he was so patient with me. He showed me a couple of units to help me decide on the size l needed to get. His customer service was impeccable --- thank you Shah for all of your help. If you are reading this review and you are considering getting a Storage unit; l will strongly recommend you go to this location, you will not regret it. There are a lot of storage places around but they are not all the same, its the people that work in these places that makes a difference.

Beware! They will try to close in the deal and push you in even before you realize. They are a scam. They showed me a lock with public storage sticker and told me that is the only lock I can use it. Since I am renting a storage unit for the first time, I thought we have to use their locks only but later they told me they sold me that lock and I have already paid for it. This guy keep calling you and bothering you when it is someone elses fault (someone dropped something outside the storage units and they call everyone and starts shouting at them). They should have checked and investigated appropriately before blaming on everyone. You DO NOT get peace for sure. Find some other storage where the service is better.

Shah and Harris were very helpful. I had reserved a 5x10 climate controlled unit online and when I got there it turned out it was labeled incorrectly in the system and was actually a 10x10 unit. They transferred my reservation over to a nearby Public Storage but when I got there I realized the rate was much higher. I called customer service but they were unable to change any the rates for my situation. So I ended up going back to Shah and Harris to get a non-climate controlled 5x10. This is more of a review of Shah and Harris as they were extremely nice and accommodating, where as the Public Storage customer service was extremely unhelpful.

Public Storage on Lee Highway in Fairfax is highly recommendable!!! Special thanks to "Shah" who assisted me. He went above and beyond. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely patient. As we all know...moving can be stressful. He gave suggestions to accommodate the rental space I needed as well as the size boxes that would make my move more economical. Each time Ive come to the office, hes always willing to assist and answer any questions. I consider him to be a valuable employee for your company! I am a very satisfied customer and will pass the word on.

I do not recommend using this Public Storage. While I was away at boot camp on Parris Island my storage unit was broken into and electronics valued at about $1400 were taken. The management and representatives were unsympathetic and unhelpful, and the security is non-existent: there are no cameras anywhere but the front gate and the office. I insured my unit through with one of their standard, recommended insurance policies, but my claim was declined and I was told there was no forum for appeal. Stay away from these crooks.

Muhammad was very professional , and understanding. Knowledgable about the products and helped me get the right storage I needed for my move! He also provided a five star experience from the bubbly greeting to to the friendly fair well, excellent customer service! I will definitely refer my friends and family!!!!! If I were rating this business on Shahs customer service alone it would have been an easy 5 stars. Shah is so patient, so kind and so helpful youll wish that you could run into him every day. He is an absolute delight. Tim, the property manager, on the other hand, was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. He is nothing more than an impediment to your otherwise productive day. A small man on a deluded power-trip. Would never ever go back solely because of him.

Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you dont. Other storage places have nuts, but this Public Storage sure dont! The staff always treats me with respect, even when I have a tendency to not pay on time. (Which is pretty much all of the time.) Tim, Shaw, Harris, sharika, the list goes on when it comes to those Ive dealt with and who had to deal with me! I wouldnt choose any other place to do business or store my items. Always professional, always considerate.

At the front desk, we were greeted by Tim, who helped us through the entire process, answering any and all questions. He gave us a tour of the facility then explained the logistics. We leased a 5 x 5 and it fit our needs. Public Storage often has specials and we were able to get the first month free. There were added costs, such as insurance (1.00 monthly), and a one time administration fee (22.00). Overall, it was easy and comfortable dealing with Tim.

Stopped in yesterday to complete the online reservation of our 10x10 unit. The unit was clean and well-maintained. Service from STEVE and Mr. Shah was delightful, and we actually realized I had worked with Steve previously at another location. As before, he was fun, professional, and fast! Customer service like this makes the difference between an average experience, and the kind of experience that makes you want to come back again.
