I am in between homes and needed a place to keep my things, but the thought of public storage made me a bit nervous. I had no experience with it and the extent of my knowledge was gained through episodes of ‘Storage Wars’. My key concerns were security and cleanliness: I really did not want my items stolen or bug infested. I first checked out a place in Arlington and it was okay, but I had some doubts. Then I walked into Extra Space on Spring Street and I was completely wowed. First, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Angelica guided me through several buildings and opened several different units so I could really get a feel for all the options. She also thoroughly explained the public storage taxonomy and soon I was well-versed in things like the difference between “indoor” and “climate-controlled”. Besides the great staff, the cleanliness and safety features really stuck out. It is clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping this place looking immaculate and there is plenty of light indoor and out that has brought me comfort even during trips to my unit later at night. All in all, I give this place a solid five stars and recommend it to all that value safety, security, and great service.

One of the BEST experiences Ive ever had. Ive previously used another name brand storage facility in Herndon, which was a completely horrible experience with a lot of up charges. Extra Space Storage is phenomenal and exactly what youre quoted online. What makes them great is their staff especially Jonathan. He took care of all of our business needs within a matter of minutes. He called once we did the online reservation. He informed me of what we needed when when came in. He showed us the unit. I believed all of our belongings would fit however I was wrong. Jonathan helped me get another unit right across from the one we had already purchase. Im forever grateful for his professionalism and detailed customer service. Every time we come into the facility, were greeted. I feel better knowing someone (Jonathan) is there whenever we need assistance.

I dont usually write reviews but I had such a good experience here that I wanted to share. The facility is well maintained and the manager, Angelica, and other staff were incredibly helpful and friendly when we moved in, making an otherwise stressful experience pretty painless. I highly recommend this facility. **Important to add: A while after writing my original review, we came to pick up a few things from our unit and accidentally left a box outside. Angelica, kept the box for months in her personal storage instead of throwing it away, even after calling (nicely) multiple times to remind me it was there...but I always forgot about it. Months later, when we moved to a new house and no longer needed storage, the box was still there. I dont know about ALL Extra Space Storage locations but the Herndon one is great.

I recently had to move out of my place so quick and I needed a storage as soon as possible, I made a few phone calls and I spoke to Jonathan on the phone , who was very helpful in answering all my questions that I had and convinced me that his storage place was the best in town so I took his word for it and I went to meet him and was so helpful and very enthusiastic about his job that I felt more safe and satisfied that I had chosen the right place to keep my things stored at while I found a home to live in . At this time in my life I was so stressed that Jonatahn even took the headache o had away with his smile and services that he provided for me . I am definetly telling all my friends about this storage place and I recommend that Jonathan gets a raise because he does take his job seriously! Thanks Jonathan!!

I originally chose ExtraSpace in Herndon for its large units. I called the phone number to make sure I would get the size I needed (10x25) and the customer service center was very helpful and friendly. I received follow up calls before my scheduled move in date to make sure someone would be in the office when I arrived. I arrived not long before closing, but due to their extended gate hours was able to completely unload my moving truck that night, which was nice since that left me with the rest of my weekend to house hunt. The pricing seemed reasonable for the size space I was renting and competitive with other storage places in the area. The best thing about ExtraStorage was the large sized storage units. many of the other places just have small storage and I had half my house to store.

Angelica and Danny humanize an otherwise dehumanizing business -- renting storage space. Weird, but when youre with them, you feel like family. They treat you right, are always upbeat and inspiring to be around, and create a very positive atmosphere. I have been with them on Spring Street in Herndon for 2.5 years--which is nearly 2 years longer than I expected. They helped me develop an exit strategy for dealing with my "short term" storage needs that somehow morphed into a longer term issue, and we are now executing that plan. Even when they are not around, they hire people of excellent character who will take good care of your needs. They keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, give you the straight scoop, and the whole staff is truly a joy to work with.

I have been storing here since 2007, I am satisfied 110%! I recommend this facility to be use by everybody. All the employees in this office are the most helpful and trusted guys I have ever met. Specially Danny, his beautiful wife Angelica and even the new employee Jonathan. The facility is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I used to have 2 units 5X10 for the first 5 years and them I transferred to a 5X5 unit size. The transfer process was very easy. I had my account set up for auto payment which was very convenient. We moved to Texas and we need to transfer our stuff unfortunately. Otherwise we would have kept storing at this location as long as needed. We which to find Extra Space Storage in Texas!

Ive had a unit here for over 3 years and have only praise for this facility. I normally dont write reviews but I just had to since Im such a happy customer. All you have to do is just look around when you visit, you will see. Everything is well-kept: freshly painted, squeaky clean, very attended to. The staff have always been super helpful and so nice. One night I left my unit improperly locked (or unlocked you could say!) by mistake and they called me the very next morning to tell me. I guess they make rounds to see that everything is as it should be. Tells me they are on the ball. I was so grateful and rushed right over there. I honestly cannot say a single unkind word about Extra Space Storage in Herndon.

This storage space is a great. Easy making reservations online, customer service was friendly, got a call within 15 mins by Johnatan to confirm my reservation and even asked if there was a certain time that he could make a reservation for me. That made me feel important. Als the Facility was a great and clean place from the time i stepped in I was helped by Angelica until the time I left. She is an Amazing and Helpful person and showed me around the facility. I am happy that i decided to stay at this facility its close and in a good area for me to get to, Right of Fairfax County Pkwy. This is going to be a great environment for me to work in and feel comfortable doing so!!!
