The post office continues to leave us slips in our mail box to go and pick up our packages. The funny thing is, we will track the package and it says "Attempted to deliver". My fiance works from home. They never "attempt" to knock on our door or make any attempt to deliver anything! I understand that our post man doesnt like dogs (wrong profession), but there is no excuse for being afraid of a basset hound named Dolly Parton who is protected by an invisible fence or by a Pyrenees puppy who hops in the truck with the UPS man. Why cant he just drop the boxes off somewhere else up our private driveway? Perhaps near the horse fence so I can grab it on my way up the driveway hill? Another option is to drop the packages off at our mailbox so he stays 1/4 of a mile away from the dogs. Horrible service and I have called to complain before in the past.

Very weak customer service. Ive tried to get a problem resolved with my PO Box all day long. Neither the USPS (DC) nor Purcellville will take a phone call. After going to the location to understand why mail is being returned no one can figure out why. Rakesh didnt have the ability to look on the computer other than to tell me the account was paid and there should be no issue. I was told to call Regina who I finally contacted after the 4th phone call but letting it ring for 4-5 minutes. Im writing this review as I sit on hold after being told that she has something else to do before she can help me. I think we got this resolved, though I am not totally sure, and my experience in the end did not change my rating here. Somehow Im made to believe this issue is something Ive created and no guarantee that it will be resolved.

Ive done a review before and I didnt think it was possible to get worse than 1 star. I have been nothing but pissed at this place I get a package and they put a yellow slip in my box so I have to go in and get it. Well I get off work at 11pm and I get a slip and I have to wait till the next day to get it. If I get something on Saturday I have to wait until Monday to get it or in this case I have to wait a total of 4 days after to get it. 4 days!!! That is absolutely ridiculous!

So get this, I am waiting for a package - carrier shows and I just miss him at the mailbox - package not in there so I chase him down the block - he says he doesnt have it, yet I see it RIGHT NEXT TO HIM!!! No apology no nothing. Best part - this has happened TWICE!! Bills constantly arrive late - if at all, and when you call them they act like you are bothering them and blow you off. Its no wonder USPS has trouble staying afloat.

When it was time for me to move after 17 years at my home, it took 8 tries (visits to the PO, online, calls) to change my address. Two months later, most of my mail is still delivered to the old house - much to my own frustration as well as the new owners. The phone rings and rings when you call. I have very little hope that they can clear up the issue.

Dont expect your packages to be delivered on time in Purcellville. They deliver when and where ever they want. Drivers are rude. Post office staff is rude. Also, not to mention Ive lived in many cities in my life and Ive never seen anywhere else where the carrier doesnt wear a uniform. So unprofessional.

I had a delivery from amazon via USPS. I received notification it was delivered on 12/2 but I never found the package! Every time I call to make an inquiry, nobody answers the phone. They need to hire people who appreciate having a job and will do a good job!!

I see all the complaints and I was compelled to write. I have used the Purcellville Post Office MANY times. The staff is pleasant and helpful. They routinely go out of the way to make sure that I am satisfied - and I am.

Probably one of the rudest Post Office Staff I have encountered. I have also not received NUMEROUS new debit/credit cards in the mail while I was trying to make the switch to Chipped cards.

Lines get long, but they usually make an effort to get you through. Once got chicks in the mail and they didnt call me, I had to pursue them and my chicks spent the day there unnecessarily.
