have Geico Ins. and Baugh and Geico work out of the same building. Baugh is always their first recommendation in the Richmond area. DO NOT USE. my first estimate of $750 turned into almost $7000.00. So they will very much low ball your estimate when you first go in to be evaluated... they dont want you pocketing the dollars and not repairing the car.... GET a Second estimate!!! Just a side FYI My story..... I had tree damage from a bad storm in June. I had damage to the hood, roof, side rear quarter panel and rear bumper. I told them not to repair the roof because it was a soft dent and my Kia Sorrento is a tall suv... so no sense repairing something that just would never be seen. It was a big repair to the tune of $6000. I also didnt require a new rear bumper simply because a small scuff just wasnt a big deal to me. With these two saves I was credited $400.00 towards my deductible. I got my car back. I have a white car. The white paint that was used was a warm undertone not a cool undertone like I have... so it looks ever so slightly pink compared to the gray/green undertones of the existing paint. I have pin striping ... its nicer than the standard straight line decal... Its hand done... nice. No one considered my pin striping when they painted over it. Baugh hired a pin striper, who really wasnt a pin striper but a decal person, to do the work. It looks like a child did it. The paint on their brush was too thick and gloppy to provide a smooth line. Completely unacceptable. That fine... I have no problem, Im pretty easy going, as long as they get someone to do it right... NOOOO I had the Geico rep, and the Baugh rep, tell me straight faced, that they will not stand by their work and here Is a check for $125.00 to go get the work done myself. I wasnt the one that accidentally painted over my pin striping. (damage was not near pin striping) Why Is this my problem? I told them they need to stand by their work! The pin striper told Baugh he just couldnt do better, as he was a decal man. OK... hes honest, you cant be angry at that.... Baugh said there is no one else in Richmond to do it, and they literally DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the work of people they sub contract. Oh, Thats BIG. Very upset and outraged that this if falling in my lap...I told them they need to call someone in and pay them for their trip time an get my car done right. Or paint over the pin striping and make it all go away. Neither solution was accepted. At this point they admit the job was bad and they refuse to make it right. $125 will not come close to what its going to cost me to fix.... AFTER I saved Geico thousands of dollars in not repairing some of the damage. I Cant believe I am being made responsible for the hours of tracking someone down and then driving up to DC (figuring thats where Ill have to go) to get the really bad job fixed. I cant believe Baugh wont do the work in finding someone to come to Richmond to do! Whats it going to cost them... $600 Max.... For a large shop... they should have no problem with $600 bucks to stand by their work. As far as the pink paint... they did offer to feather it in for me. I was so upset at the pin striping I left that as it was for the time being and stormed out. Needing to cool off and get my senses back... Round two... tomorrow! I will keep you posted on the final outcome...

I have had two great experiences with the team at Baugh Auto Body and both experiences warranted the 5-star rating that I have given them. The first experience at Baugh Auto Body was needed for the removal of several hundred hail "dings" all over my Honda Civic. My insurance company gave me a list of body shops that could complete the work and I chose Baugh because of its proximity to my job. When I got to Baugh, my adviser Nick was quick and efficient as he appraised the damage to my vehicle. Nick then walked me through the process of what to expect and a timeline of when the work would be completed. Because of the level of skill required in removing all of the dents, he mentioned that it could take a little longer to ensure a smooth finish. I had consistent updates from Nick throughout the week, he knew exactly how to ensure a great customer service experience. After having my vehicle for a little over a week, I got it back and was extremely impressed with the quality of work that they completed. Not a single dent or reminder of the hail storm could be found on my car. The second experience was just as great. My unoccupied Civic was hit in a parking lot by another driver and immediately I knew who I wanted to repair the damage. Upon speaking to the other drivers insurance company, I requested to work with Baugh Auto Body. I then personally reached out to Nick to see if he would be able to personally help me with my car. When I arrived at Baugh to have my vehicle appraised I was notified that I would be working with another team member, Kelly. While I may have been initially disappointed that I wouldnt have an established relationship with my adviser, Kelly immediately alleviated any of those concerns. Kelly explained to me exactly what they would be doing to repair my door and gave me a timeline of when to expect my vehicle to be returned to me. As the week drew to a close, Kelly reached out to update me that my car was next to go into the paint booth and that I would hear back from her on Monday with an update. As promised, Monday afternoon Kelly emailed me to let me know that my vehicle was ready for pickup. Upon arriving to pick up my vehicle, both Nick and Kelly came out to make sure that I was satisfied with the quality of work that had been completed. Nick was then even able to reference details that he remembered from our previous encounter over a year ago. As I began to move my possessions back into my car from the rental, both offered to help me with the transfer. I was blown away by their genuinely positive attitudes and desire to ensure my satisfaction of their customer service. There are few business, big or small, and even fewer people, that can provide that level of customer service and attention to detail that both, Nick and Kelly, as well as Baugh as a company has exhibited to me on multiple occasions. As previously mentioned, I will continue to use them as necessary with any of my personal vehicle needs and will send them any referrals that I can.

Unfortunately Baugh Auto Body did not win my business today because of terrible customer service. I stopped by this morning to ask if they would do a free estimate. I was told, "only by appointment". I set an appointment for 2:30 this afternoon. I returned promptly at 2:30pm and waited. I have no problem waiting (although this is a bit odd once an appointment has been set). What took me over the edge is about 10 minutes later, an elderly woman walks in and asks if someone can look at her car. She did not have an appointment. Less than 3 minutes later, someone escorts her out to look at her car. Meanwhile, Im still waiting. They come back. A few minutes later, another couple comes in without an appointment. Two minutes later, a different person escorts them out to take a look at their vehicle. At that point I had already been waiting close to half an hour. It was like I was invisible! I got up and asked the receptionist if there was a reason why two walk-ins were seen before me when I had an appointment. She did not have a response other than she told someone I was here and that she could try again. I told her not to bother and that I would be leaving. I dont know why I was overlooked as a customer here but I will not spend money at an establishment that clearly does not value my business. What a waste of gas and time.
