Terrible experience! From start to finish, I originally reserved my truck at a different location and instead of getting a courtesy phone call all i got was a text message. I get there the and the rep was very nice. Tells me the truck is suppose to be at 1/4 of a tank but it wasnt so I would get a $7 credit and to make sure I bring it back with a 1/4 of a tank. The truck was on Empty! We loaded our Truck the night before, when we go to take off the truck doesnt turn on! Called the location no answer. Finally get it to start, as we start driving it was extremely difficult to keep the truck on the road because it kept pulling to the right! Finally make it to our destination to find out all our items in the cab were soaked. After calling the location 5 times, finally someone answered. I explained to this gentleman my situation and I need another Truck his response was "it doesnt rain everyday so we cant find every leak each Truck has" what kind of customer service is this!?! Tells me I could bring the truck back and he will give me a new one.. calls me back and tells me to call Roadside assistance and gives me the HR department # for uhaul. Took me 3 mores calls to get the correct # finally get someone at Roadside whom tells me the are bringing me a truck, calls me back and tells me they cant I need to make it to a uhaul location 40 minutes away. To wait another 3 hours to finally get a truck.. I was told I would get refund still have yet to see the credit on my card or for there insurance to call me back about my damage items. I have always rented from Uhaul and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had and my last. I rather pay a little more and go to a different company where my safety and valuables are taken into consideration.

"You know how to *take* the reservation, you just dont know how to *hold* the reservation." We reserved our trailer a month in advance and were sent here by dispatch. Many miles way out of our way. How they couldnt find a trailer closer to us with a months notice is beyond me (I dont particularly want an explanation. Pretty sure it would make my ears bleed). And of course, that wasnt really the problem. The reservation was canceled the day of our move and rented out to someone else. The employees all laughed it up because "Name-politely-withheld-from-this-review" is always doing stuff like that. Ha! Ha! After taking care of several other customers, they decided to find another trailer for us. (Such service!) The new trailer was less than a mile from our house. (Another head scratcher). Unfortunately, we ran into difficulties there as well and were unable to rent said trailer. I cant really hold that against this location, but I certainly blame U-haul as a whole.

I reserved a 14 truck to be picked up at U-Haul Company of Richmond, 6101 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23235. I called that morning to confirm pickup time and was told the time to pick up the truck was noon. I arrived shortly after noon and was told they did not have a truck. Not only did they not have a 14 truck they did not have any trucks. The salesman provided me a phone number and said that was all he could do for me, he was unwilling to locate a truck at another location. I left, called the number and was able to find a 10 truck at another store in Richmond. The ordeal took 2.5 hours out of my day that I would have preferred to use packing. I am very displeased with the level of customer service at that store and will consider other rental companies in the future.

Rented a 16 foot truck for 24 hours. They asked when i would have it back, I told them no later than 4 pm the next day. I load the truck that night. The next morning the battery is dead, I jump the truck with my car ( after a 20min charge). Long story short i end up not getting the truck back until 4:50, I was charged an additional $42 for an extra day and was told to be thankful I wasnt charged the full price for the extra day. I complained to the corp office and recieved no refund for the overage. go with Penske or Ryder.

Rented a truck from them and realized that a day to them was not 24 hrs. Also the truck I rented was in town so it was not a truck that was any less than a total piece of junk. One headlight was pointed straight down and the seat had a bar running across it right where the back joined the bottom. By the end of the day my back was done. Awful.

made a reservation on line a week before and they called 8pm the night before to telll us they did not have a truck and sent us 30mi away and when we got there no truck and sent us another 40mi back to another location needless to say we found another alternative

Kurt & Janet were very friendly and professional. I arrived at this store because another different u-haul place was not able to install a tow hitch (as they had promised), so Kurt installed it for me the same day and kept my trip on schedule!

Have never had any issue with this location. Always have what I need and are very helpful. Have rented trucks numerous times from this location and used storage. I will continue to do so even if it is further than other rental providers.

Im always in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff is really friendly and the 24 hour drop off is a huge plus. My reimbursement for my deposit was also processed in a timely manner. Im very satisfied with my rental.
